A man was found shot to death on a Hyde Park street late Tuesday, police said.
Officers found a man later identified as Cydrell Bragg, 28, of an undetermined Chicago address, lying on the street with a gunshot wound to the head about 11:55 p.m. in the 1600 block of East 53rd Street, a police spokesman said. The area where he was found is near a Metra viaduct and station.
The man was dead on the scene, said Officer David Banks. Officials from the Cook County Medical Examiner's office were on the scene a little after 1 a.m.
Sound like a dangerous place. Well, that's all the City lately. Are we at 500 yet?

Drew Peterson is engaged. He managed to find a completely naieve, 23 year old girl to actually marry him. He is great at finding very young girls that have a troubled past with no family support. The Unfair Labor Practice filed by the Lodge over DNA testing
The City's Light Duty Proposal
Our free Health Care at age 55 proposal
A City proposal regarding Military Leave
The first three issues are not proposals put forward by either the City of the Lodge but are issues that have arisen out of either the negotiations process or disagreements the Lodge has over issues that need to be addressed with a level of immediacy by representatives of the Corporation Counsel’s Office. Unfortunately these issues take time away from addressing contract proposals and are kept to a minimum in this forum.

I work in 021st district,and was there last night,it's a little funny,our future president lives in the D.O.C.!Hyde park consist of mostly Liberals,clueless U of C students,and lots and lots of shitheads surround hyde park..there has always been alot of robberies and burglaries around there,just two months ago we had a foot chase 1/4 block from Obama's house with the guy slinging rock cocaine.So,if you dont really need to be there during the night,my advise is not be there...the day time is alittle safer...unless you stay around Obama's house where there are tons of Feds and coppers.Stay NORTH!..Good luck and welcome to Chicago when you get here...be safe.

The whole numbers game played by the bosses is a joke! It's funny how anything to do with revenue numbers has to stay the same or go up month after month(parkers, movers, cerfews etc.) but the homie cides have to go down every year. Isn't the point of writing parkers, movers, cerfews etc. supposed to be a deterent to further violations of these types? Isn't that why we enforce them? It's to bring the number of violations down to make the public safe, right? The purpose of law enforcement is to deter by punishment and example, so if it works, the numbers should go down. Hyde Park around the University of Chicago area is great if you are into architecture and buildings. I would do it in the daytime and then spend the afternoon people watching at Jimmy's Woodlawn Tap.

Maybe I watch too many movies, beacause I always think Chicago looks so beautiful - at least until you get into the city. I avoid everything about Philly and generally hate big cities. I went to Las Vegas and hated it.
I'm generally a bigger fan of the southern states - probably because I've gone almost every year since I was a kid.
Still, I'd like to visit Chicago. I trust you all will keep me safe. ;)

The Dearborns Homes are the safest place to be in 021. They have 2 sgts and about 10 pos over there on second watch. That's like one officer for each bad guy that still lives there - that place is like a ghost town.

If you really do visit our "fair" city, there are better neighborhoods to check out....

Not long after I watched that movie, I had nightmares, and I haven't had them in years. I haven't watched the movie again since.
BTW, I do have a big dog (Boxer), but she's just a big baby. She wouldn't be any help at all.
