Reverend - Madigan Connection
Following a visit from the three wise men local religious figures, we speculated that the use of "ministers" would be a perfect medium to convey messages from various political powerhouses to Blago.
Then we saw Lisa Madigan's press conference to announce her filing of a motion to have Blago removed from office temporarily until such time as the charges are resolved. A reader's comment in one of our posts openly speculated on Quinn being named temporary governor, then appointing himself to the open US Senate seat, leaving the road open for Madigan to become governor. Not out of the realm of possibility we suppose.
Then an even sharper reader found this picture:

Honest to god, we couldn't make this shit up if we tried. Gubernatorial aspirant Lisa Madigan filing motions to throw out the current governor, while people she's been photographed with "magically" appear uninvited on the governor's home doorstep to "pray" with him?
It boggles the mind.
UPDATE: Someone is claiming this isn't Meeks or Acree. That's the way the picture is labeled at this link to the Creative Impact Public Relations website. We imagine a PR firm would have a better grasp of the subjects of their photos than anyone else. Especially seeing as how we counted FOUR other photos of Acree and it's the same guy every time.
We'll assume the person claiming that isn't Acree and Meeks is Mike Madigan attempting to smooth the eway for his daughter's asendence to the governor's mansion. Hi Mike!!!

There's a lesson here. These people take and take and take with both hands and it's never enough. Then, when they get caught, every cent goes to their lawyers...
Me? I don't need a lawyer. When I saw that SCC had run this, I jumped up in the air and roared. Then I got out the iron skillet and cooked up a midnight snack of chorizo con papas with onions and poblano peppers and eggs over easy and tortillas, and scarfed it all down with a big glass of orange-pineapple juice. Needed some chocolate chip cookies when I was done, too.
You don't know what freedom is until you lose it.
Now I'm having a nice cup of fresh-perked coffee, and then I'm going to sleep in this wet Sunday morning without worrying that the FBI is going to wake me up at 5 AM and drag me off in handcuffs in front of my family.
When I get up later and turn on the TV or open the newspaper, no one will be laughing at me because a photographer snapped a picture of me darting out the back way right past a big "WARNING! TARGET -- RATS" sign next to my gate.

Cook County has more black voters then any other county in the country. With a massive black turnout, Democrats win. If you don't win, ya don't get no pie!
Everything has been about appeasing the "reverends" for Daley since about 2002. Demographics demand it. Not enough white "ethnics" left in the city, HDO in shambles, Gay community good for $ but weak in votes. They have to keeping buying these "reverends" to prevent one strong candidate from mobilizing the black community and stealing the pie. Last big threat was Obama. They were terrified he'd lose the general election in 2004 and run for Mayor in 2007 with an energized black base.

We know Emanuel from the Obama’s camp had a wish list that included names from people that helped Obama out. I wonder what they did to get on the list? How dare Lisa Madigan jump in front of the line. She is a real bitch, Blago just killed her chances at the senate and now she is fucking pissed off and wants his job. Do you seriously think it would be a smart move on the part of the voters of Illinois to have a father and daughter team reap so much power. Potentially too much exposure to corruption might drive them both to insanity.
We know Jesse “jackass,” Jr., is real fucking sorry about something. His new attorney hired to handle this problem is prepared to do what? Defend? Wondering what it could be that he could have did wrong? Seems like he knows there is a problem and he’s not wasting anytime getting ready for the worst case scenario.
We know that Blago was visited by many prospects who expressed interested at O’Mama’s spot on the senate floor. Again, none of these visitors reported anything up front to the U.S. Attorney.
Question here to ask is do you want anyone INVOLVE who clearly demonstrated to the electorate they are “accustom too” or having a habit of looking the other way when they are exposed to corruption and failed to report it promptly.
Do you want any of these people representing your best interests in government policy making?
I don’t hate Blago, if fact, he is going to be our political savior here.
Blago needs to step up and tell the U.S. Attorney everything he knows about the Chicago Way and who has benefitted from it. If Blago does this I would agree that he deserves a pardon after serving 18 months in isolation. Blago can write a book and hit the Oprah show where Oprah can talk about her hero O’Mama and his role in Chicago Corrupt Politics.

I had the honor of being stripped of my Tac team by Leroy, and launched to 010, back in the days when NO ONE WAS KICKED OUT OF 015! Of course, that also meant I was gone when IAD began Operation Broken Star!

Monday? She's nowhere in sight.

The Disappearance Of Lisa, Continued...
As we said -- one day in a red power suit on every TV show in the country. The next day, vanished into thin air.
Today, Wednesday, December 17, the Illinois Supreme Court rejected Lisa Madigan's power-play suit to have Governor Blagojevich removed as unfit. No reason was given.
