Opening Day
- Carlos Zambrano tossed six sharp innings to get his first opening-day win in five chances, leading the Chicago Cubs to a 4-2 victory over the Houston Astros on Monday night.
Zambrano allowed one run and five hits in his first start against Houston since his no-hitter on Sept. 14 in Milwaukee. That game was played at Miller Park after Hurricane Ike damaged the Houston-area.
At this rate, the Cubs will clinch by July and be 162-0 by season's end. At least, to hear the north siders talk that is. Sox snowed out.

Im a Cubs fan... Cubs could go 162-0 and I still will not be duped into believing that "this is our year" or "next year is here!" Nope win a playoff game... JUST ONE GAME and I would be happy! bunch of bumbs... I am not excited about this year... not until I see them in October WINNING... Only then will I be happy...
ps... Any way some of you Sox fans can get Ozzie to wear a CPD hat? Get Ozzie on our side... maybe make a comment or two about our cause? just a thought... we all know fat lou wont do it... Ozzie is at least a supporter of law enforcement...
2-4 idiots caused this whole department and this great unit to fall apart. Apparently it wasn't a scandal and a unit out of control with no rules or supervision. Any officer can be rogue if they want no matter how thoughroly they are watched.
WE should all be out for blood against the SA's Office. It's appalling the way they caved to the media and the politicians. It has caused irrepairable to harm to these officers and numerous other officers across the board. All I can say is fuck those who didn't stand behind them.

piss on the cubs and sox-- go blackhawks-- who cares about baseball until september when it gets interesting. its almost comical to watch all these fools go to wrigley and shell out huge money to watch a team who hasn't won the world series in over 100 years. you have to be soft in the head to pay 7 dollars for a piss warm cup of draft beer and even softer to pay 7 bucks for a hot dog. over 70 percent of the "cubs fans" in attendance couldn't even tell you the top five in the line-up or who is playing second base. wrigley field is a whorehouse for dumb fucks to splash their money around and act like they are in high school.
Wrigley is not good enough for Carlos. I think he really wants to wear Yankee colors, what a jag.

Well, At least the CUBS will be in the playoffs. Sux went the cheap route this year, wait till the opener today when the Sux will lose to the suck ass K.C.
