City Hall Plumbers
Reports are that a number of plumbing crews were called to City Hall this morning to unclog a number of lavatories. They found this:
We're of the opinion that since it was pretty much public knowledge that Carothers was the target of a couple of investigations (hell, we've been talking about it for a year) that there is probably no way Shortshanks got caught on tape.
There are however, a number of other persons who ought to be concerned. Any aldercreature who served on any sort of committee with Ike ought to be reviewing the substance of shared conversations, in the hallways between sessions, maybe over a cup of coffee in the lounge. And just about every builder who appeared before the Committee better review past business practices to make sure there was nothing that could be interpreted as shady.

He's pleading "not guilty" because it's part of the dance. And maybe the feds have a bunch of other wiretaps in place that are just buzzing with conversation.

On one of the news channels today, convicted aldercrook Laski was on, and the reporter asked, "What do you think the alderman are thinking?". Laski's answer was, "they're thinking "when was the last time I talked to Ike Carothers, and what did I say to him?" ".
There are anough bricks there to build a new wing at a federal pen.

First off, some of you need to stop and think for one second, Carothers wasn't waking up and going to bed with a wire on.
The process doesn't work they way you're all interpreting it to be. It works much like a warrant, whereas he wears a device around certain individuals either already named by the feds, or whenever there is to be a meeting of targeted individuals.
Wearing wires isn't a fishing expedition. The feds can't tell him to put it on first thing in the morning and see who's stupid enough to approach him and say stupid shit. He's given specific targets and specific situations with targets where he is to wear it.
So don't waste your fantasy time thinking his brother, any family members or even Daley was caught on tape because unless his brother was named in the original case of pay to play real estate developers, he wasn't taped. Likewise, unless there was prior evidence that Daley was involved in the original scam case there'll be no recordings of him either.
Not to mention, the wire picks up sounds, not blinks of the eye, not handwritten notes telling someone to shut the fuck up before they say stupid shit.
And most of all, Carothers was fully aware of the fed's case a YEAR ago. Anyone he needs to protect was likely constantly made aware of what he was doing to lighten his sentence and therefore said nothing stupid on tape, or if they couldn't be trusted to NOT be stupid, they were avoided.
A wire can't force you to talk to someone or make you sit down and eat lunch with them.
Quit dreaming folks, it ain't gonna happen to Daley or his brother. Now, a few OTHER aldermen who didn't play ball with the shithead himself? Maybe. A few other real estate developers ( naturally NOT the ones involved in Daley's psychotic dream olympics )? You bet. But nobody that's gonna satisfy our need to have the criminal head of the Chicago mob cut down, or any lame knuckleheaded brother promoted well beyond his capabilities.

Look at the list of Chicago's convicted aldermen... 30 or more long since '73. They are obviously easily replaceable by other scurrying cockroaches. Until you get Daley, NOTHING CHANGES !
After everyone went home on the evening of Carother's indictment announcement and after all the traffic noise quieted down, all that was heard was the muffled drones of shredder machines echoing off of the buildings in the vacinity of City Hall.
