In the area of 76th and Exchange, the following graffiti was spotted by a reader of ours and he felt it necessary to bring it to everyone's attention. We agree:
The e-mail also stated this has been popping up with alarming frequency around the north end of 004 where there was a recent "Shots Fired at the Police" incident. Additionally, an individual was stopped wearing a t-shirt with the "CPDK" on it. The explanation given? It stood for "Corrupt Police Department Killer" but we highly doubt that. No word on what happened to the individual wearing the shirt, or the shirt itself following discovery. We know what would have happened in the old days.
We miss the old days.

I wasn't around for most of the good old days, just caught the very tail end of it.... But I've heard lots of stories.....we need that back....seriously.
This has been going on for months now in that area...right along the border of 003 and 004. Looks like Lillie needs to have another community program.
That whole area in 004 from 75th -83rd from about Yates to Exchange has been really violent the last few years against the police. I don't know if you remember last year, there was an Arson incident at a location close by 81st Exchange and the shktheads shot a fire investigator who they thought was the police, then a few months ago the Stones and the G.D's along 79th street in 004 declared that they will place snipers on roof tops and block alleys to trap the police. We're cleaning house over there and the useles f#55@ feel the pressure.
I take any threat over there very seriously and who ever is in the area be careful of false calls to 911 to get you away from their drug deals and drivebys...stay safe ..

This has been around in the south east end of 003 for sometime now. The same color used in the above pictures (green) for CPDK is used for the area of 74 and Phillips on a yellow brick abounded building. CPDK was also tagged at 75 and Yates but has since been graffiti blasted.

Don't believe everything you hear about "back in the day." It wasn't all that good. Nostalgia makes people for get about the shit parts. Work in a small old police station? Then you paid for a locker or did without. Want a foot post? You paid for that too.
You think clout is bad now? They didn't even have the 30% ruse of merit, they just made the heavyweights. Period.
Weekends coming up and you were on the Captain's bad side? Your day off group got changed. No grievance, no change DOG by seniority. No bid for watches, it was 28 days of 3rd watch followed by 28 days of 2nd watch followed by 28 days of midnights. Then repeat.
The old days are gone for a reason. Lots of the rules we work under now are the result of things done in the good old days.

By the time this gets up, this may be at the end of a long line in the anger being expressed. Cozzi got sentenced.
Days away from returning to the job he did well after paying a huge price for going over the edge, the yet to be installed Superintendent calls in his Fed buddies. I didn't say Cozzi was right, just that this is completely out of balance.
Some hospital security guard calls you because a patient if being beligerent while awaiting treatment. What do you do today? I walk away and say handle your own problems. I think the entire department is about to "just walk away".

Usually, these arrests are because the "BOSS" wants numbers. In some of the nicer districts, there are not open air drug markets and 5-6 shithead thugs hanging on the corner. If the watch commander doesn't like the arrest...R.W.O.C. and then explain why. Quality of life issues are very important in the nice districts. Since there is no quality of life in 011, 015, 007, 002 etc., they don't need quality of life arrests. I don't want the scum of society walking up to my car and sticking their arm in the window where my kids are sitting so they can beg for change. Maybe when the captain has this happen to him, he will feel a bit differently. I'll bet he was a hard charger and nothing but part 1 arrests all through his career...correct ?

You're on the same page. 5.56mm = .223" caliber. Standard US service rifle round for M-16, M-4, etc.
I think full NATO military designation is 5.56 x 45mm; the commercial US version is called .223 Remington.

I spent enough time working 421, 2nd watch and know for a fact that it is without a doubt one of the busiest beats in the city. Also worked some of the busiest in other south side districts, and I do believe that the useless fucks are declaring war in their own little pussy way.
