Shortshanks Hiding

  • Mayor Richard Daley abruptly backed out of all his scheduled public appearances for the third straight day, then was blown off by labor unions he was supposed to meet with on the city budget deficit.

His absence from the public eye comes as the mayor has yet to address the latest developments in the controversy surrounding his nephew, Robert Vanecko.

[...] Daley spokeswoman Jacquelyn Heard said the mayor is still sick but returned to work in the office today, primarily to attend a meeting with leaders of labor unions that represent city employees. The Daley administration has threatened to lay off hundreds of union workers to balance the budget if the unions don't agree to concessions.

But the unions did not attend today's meeting. Chicago Federation of Labor spokesman Nick Kaleba said the organization had no comment about skipping the meeting.
Daley is not going to do well in prison, that's for sure.

So now that the other unions are skipping out on meetings with the mayor, perhaps it's time for another march? Get a few more supporters on board? A larger cross section of the workforce maybe? A little more attention brought to bear on the millions wasted, the billion in TIF money, the endemic corruption that's brought Chicago to its knees?

He's calling the big white house in DC to get intel into what he should say. Only after the files are read by those in the know can he talk about it without an attorney present. Once he has gone over all of the evidence handed to him by his "friends" in Washington, he will be on display like he usually is, making a mockery of the English language.

Daley is so dirty it's beyond comprehention!!! People form all over th USA are amazed how dirty he is and how he gets away with so much for soooooooo long. Many think the feds are in his pocket. Daley prides himself on being in the know and having his finger on the pulse and being the main source of great things, but when dozens of his close friends get pinched he suddenly "knows nothing"

Daley stole from a public pension, but want us to put our two years of back pay into it to make up for his theft? Get this guy!

Another march is a great idea. He's been taking hits, so the timing is perfect to keep his face in the papers on all of his bullshit.

The workers who are not prohibited from striking need to take those unpaid days he's asking for while out on strike.

Let's see how tough he is when they stop picking up garbage and filling potholes for a while.

This march needs to happen soon. People in this town have a very, very short memory. You have to keep this in their faces.

Now that the parking meters have pissed enough people off after the potholes, we need another march with some good informational signs out there.

Other city departments might also consider a strike. We can't, but they can. That would be great for da Lympics committee to see.

Here's a nice little tid bit from Fran Spielman......

The Obama administration is boycotting a U.S. Conference of Mayors meeting in Providence, R.I., this weekend to avoid crossing picket lines and taking sides in a decade-long labor dispute between the local mayor and firefighters union.

But Mayor Daley apparently has no such qualms, in part because he¹s been in the same boat as Providence Mayor David Cicilline.

Not only is Daley planning to cross a picket line to attend the mayor¹s meeting, but he¹s also sent a message to the White House that it¹s setting a “very bad precedent” by directing Vice President Joe Biden and more than 100 federal officials to stay away

Just who the F*&k does Daley think he is? Does he really think that he has THAT much authority that he can dictate proceedure to the President of the United States?

If he crosses that picket line he's thumbing his nose at all of us. It's time for another march and I'm sure this time there will be way more boots on the ground.

Who knows but he has no ECONOMIC PROBLEM....

He put in a NEW BASKETBALL COURT remodeling his WHITE house taking out the bowling alley! BIG MONEY project. Also a BRAND NEW swing set for his well to do kids!

A lot of travelling too wioth the family.

You see I wouldn't care so much but since we are looking at not getting a raise again for another year and MY personal bank account is suffering and we are struggling at my home like most AMERICANS....

I feel it is in POOR taste that the LEADER of our COUNTRY is publicly SPENDING for his own families benefit while many of US ....TRUE AMERICANS are in DIRE STRAITS and looking at foreclosure as well as unemployment!

CPD has not had a RAISE in sevearl years BY THE WAY and we are looking at giving back money or time?????

STAND UP PRESIDENT...really thinks of his country and citizens as he TAKES CARE OF HIS OWN FIRST...

NOT A REAL GOOD EXAMPLE OF A TRUE LEADER ....SORRY TO SAY!

VOTE OBAMA....and receive your stimulus package!

6/11/2009 02:53:00 PM

Whenever he prepares to exit, his security is positioned at several exits looking for media.

If he wants to avoid them, he will use a different elevator (he has one assigned just to him) and procede to the lower pedway, going through the Daley center bldg (east), or through the State of Illinois bldg (north), or south through the other pedway.

His driver can meet him at several different locations depending on where he chooses to pop up.

His car can be positioned in the Daley Center Garage or the state of Ill. Garage, neither is open to the public.

The pedway allows him to walk all the way over past Michigan avenue and to the Metra Train station and the private roadway used to move buses from the Metra station to Soldier Field. It also allows him immediate access to the Blue and Red lines (but don't count on seeing him in the subway). Hell, he might even sell pencils down there?

One day soon, he may try a parachute jump from the roof of city hall?

If the family is smart they'll just erect several porta potty's over Daley's remains, they won't have to be marked either. Folks will know where the rat is burried.

I predict long lines of people waiting to pay last respects to the most corrupt politician in the history of Shitcago. I'm sure someone in the Daley Crime Family will rent them to the family at a reasonable price.
