They should give us one of those. Great covert vehicle. They'd(thugs) come to us, stylin' and profylin'.

There were tons of media vehicles parked around 26 and California the last week. I did not see one ticket on any of them. Shame on us!
Put that on the news instead of watching where we park out cars
Yes, we have to obey the law and are restricted from enforceing it.
Today at roll call some guy came in from downtown and asked us why morale was bad. Some of us tried to explaine but he deflected and resorted to war stories.
Around 0100 017 chased a car that rammed a police veh. and the chase was, of course, terminated. Later, 020 found the car and that chase was also terminated.
I joined CPD to be the real police and we have drifted far from it.
THAT, is a big part of why my morale is low.....if anyone really gives a fuck.
And the tire's up on the curb too. You know what? I might just start writing parkers again.
I Know, but I'm thinking pound the shit out of Zekman and CBS2 News vehicles before anyone else. I just seems more appropriate.

A serious question from a civilian
Chicago resident.
Can't Policemen write tickets on these vehicles? I know that through the course of the day you guys are fairly busy but if an effort is made to hold the citizenry to the law, the point may be made.
Yesterday there was a Segway Cop recharging at Starbucks at Wabash and Jackson while a CBS truck was parked in a tow zone across the street. opportunity missed.
This City could be great again if

They were there to cover the news conferance where MASTERS gets suspended and arrested for illegally carrying a firearm. JFRAUD unhappy with the cook co. criminal justice system has turned the case over to the feds. Oh wait that hasnt happened maybe they were there to investigate where all our pension money has been going. nope not that. Ok they are lazy and just parked illegally
kudos to the female sgt in 016 who refused to terminate a chase. we heard the dispatcher say to her. can you repeat , i can't believe i'm hearing this. the chase went well bad guys caught. at lease someone has guts on this job
It is time to lay low and play the waiting game people. Wait until October and let if be official that we are NOT getting the Olympics in Chicago. I will bet you that Weiss goes bye bye and we will see one of our own elevated back into running the Department. I honestly think the Mayor is done and he knows it as well. He needs to go off and be with his ailing wife and enjoy his last few years before he drops dead. I have been on this job long enough to know how to survive these bad times. Things will get better soon and trust me when I say there will be a new Mayor in the City for the next term.
I don't understand what the public uproar is about the U of I admission policy. The police have been expieriencing the clout system for years in the form of Merit" promotions. Who is paying and getting short changed? The public? The Tribune will challenge the U of I, but it would never dare challenge Mayor Daley or the city about the clout infested merit promotions within the police and fire departments. The city cannot even explain or show what the political appointees have done that makes them stand above everyone else. How about the multiple promotees getting two and sometimes three merit promotions. Maybe Weis will show us. I doubt it cause he dosen't know. The only thing he knows is what "Shortshanks" tells him. The Tribune and Weis are spinless fools. You can fool all of the public all of the time. They are doing it every day.

Excellant job to the photographer. The media has been F#$@*&g us hard the last few years with thier "dirty laundry." Thanku for having the balls. You make me proud to be CPD. We are proud of you!!!
