Boot Blitz
Scrounging for cash to erase a threatened $300 million year-end shortfall, Chicago is going after motorists with two unpaid tickets older than one year with a vengeance -- by mailing 183,293 seizure notices and booting 3,493 vehicles.
The City Council's controversial decision to drop the threshold for applying the Denver boot for the first time in seven years -- from three-unpaid tickets to two -- has touched off a booting blitz.
Through June 30, the city had issued 1.38 million tickets, roughly 18,000 fewer than it did during the same period last year.
Parking enforcement aides were apparently unable to pick up the slack from Chicago Police officers, whose ticket-writing dropped by nearly 10 percent last year.

City Stickers are past due at this point, make sure you have one on your car if you plan on parking anywhere near the station.

What is the license plate number of Alderman Ed Burke's city owned and operated vehicle?
Once that is obtained then any member of the media, including Fran Speilman, can FOIA the number of non-suits that have been approved for that vehicle. It would be interesting to see how many red light camera violations and parking citations that Alderman Burke has authorized for himself!
But then Alderman Burke is royality not common folk like you and I. Just ask him and his numerous bodyguards.

Still subject to our city sticker if primarily used here,housed here, etc. CPD officers repeatedly lose on this one when claiming the car is registered at the summer home and not subject to city sticker. Don't even bother trying to fight it.

It would be very interesting to see how many red light camera violations and parking citations are non-suited for Alderman Burke, Mayor Daley and the other so-called big-wigs have received.
Let us start looking for the license plates of these VIP'S so the media can then FOIA the information!
They want us to pay but you can be assured that they and their friends do not.
Funny I remember how much REVENUE the Impoundments were making when it first started at 111 S. State.
Police were getting paid and the City still made 3 times what teh copper got.
HOWEVER......
They stopped PAYING/NOTIFYING us and though the building was built based on the revenue on Superior ave. somoen in their (greedy) or infinite wisdom CUT US OUT!
So...........
Impoundment numbers DIPPED/DROPPED and therefore (after you stopped paying the police to work) the REVENUE cut!
Was it good for voters at the time?
Was it plain greed?
Who knows but anybody that knows what I am talking about who was a "court whore" can agree the City dropped the ball on this one!

Why don't they have automatic tows for everyone who doesn't have a driver's license?? That includes suspended and revoked. Three quarters of the south-of-the border population who also don't obey the mandatory insurance laws will fall into this category. Ask $400 to get the car out ( show ownership, license and insurance). AFter 60 days if no one claims the car sell the cars and make your money. Cha-ching for the city and at the same time make the street safe again. How many hit and runs and drive-bys have license and insurance????? Not many.

How much are they going to lose on Zone parking tickets? If you are (were) someone who wrote zone parking it was real easy, just look for the little sticker the same color as the city sticker. Now we're supposed to read each and every sticker to see if it says 'zone' or 'none' ? I don't think so.
Hope they saved enough on not printing another sticker to cover the tickets that won't be written.

ed burke licence plate is eb 14 il and it does not have a veh sticker he also changes the m plate every two months the real police
