Someone from the 19th ward is definately monitoring this blog because yesterday 13 Jul, they were all over my neighborhood with a ward service request form. Years ago we tried to make Morgan Park HS a neighborhood school only and not one of these people in the thread showed any interest. While Matt O'Shea did assist my family several times with some Ward problems, I don't think I could ever vote for any of these people again.
They better investigate every commander all the way back to joe louge in 022. Garrity was the most ruthless. Stong armed every buisness on western ave.

I wrote Rugi a letter showed her a bill for sewer repair, personally visited her office. Offered to a replant a tree. All I wanted was a dangerous tree removed from my parkway because its roots were getting into my sewer tiles.
This spring during a very blustery day the tree feel onto my house causing extensive damage.
Rugi never responded or anything in regards to removing it or telling me why they couldn't remove it.

I use to live in the 19th ward but moved away some years ago, I still own a condo downtown and come back to Chicago to visit my parents time to time. My parents still live in the 19th ward, but spend winters in Florida my home state now. So I really do not get back to the old hood that much. I did not grow up in Mt Greenwood, but my question is what is wrong with MT Greenwood and why will it look like 79th and halstad? How is Kennedy Park is that safe?

I am not the original poster but the second one. You talk about her like she is some stand up boss. and maybe she was when you worked for her. All I can tell you is she does not come straight on to the people at the Academy but is instead a sneaking backstabber. As for not doing any work why do we need a Commander and a ADS at the Academy? Hasn't been that way for years. Perhaps she was sent there so Ginger could give her that gold star. You know the one she wanted for her at 022 but was blocked. I love listening to coppers like you telling the people at the Academy or elsewhere that they do not do anything. I love it when newbies come in from a district and after a week or two state " damn, I didn't realize what you all do here". and you know what they stay, just like you would. You talk big but in reality I'm sure you are the dogass working a beat car telling everyone what a great cop you are and how every boss sucks. Now go home and get your shinebox. You rip on POs for having a spot at the Academy but suck RWs A$$ for doing the same.

Don't you fucking dare degrade people who work a beat car....I did it for years and am fucking proud of it. All the poor bastards getting shot on this goddamn job are the "dogasses working the beat cars" as you put it. Listening to you assholes complain about getting a commander who is getting rid of all of you is music to our ears....we dogasses who did/are working beat cars!!
Also to the asshole who wants to know how many guns our team recovered.....it is not 100's but 1000's. Think about how many cops might have been shot with them. Couldn't have been you and your big mouth friends at the academy though could it have been since you have stayed safely behind a desk. I am crossing my fingers hoping that more of you get dumped from the academy. Everyone keep your eyes open for the guys/girls coming from the academy. I knew two Sommerville supporters. One was a union flunkie who set me up for a suspension for political reasons. He was assisted by his buddy, another Sommerville supporter, higher up the food chain.
He claimed I wasn't safe to work with and filed an incident report, shortly after jumping my seniority for a shift selection.
Within a couple of months, he screwed up his knee by crashing a cushman cart.
He transferred out after returning from Worker's Compensation.
The guy who helped him resigned after the Feds raided his office.
As Ralph Kramden would say, "har har hardy har har."
Funny, Dan Joyce gets a DUI right around the time John Cappas gets out of prison. Wouldn't be drinking a little more because he was n-n-n-ervous?
What abount Danno's discharge from the USMC. Everyone forgets about that! Gets kick out of the USMC then goes to jail for selling drugs and now he works for Daddy. He also married into the Jays potato chip family. Now he has a life time supply of chips!! Danno has never done anything on his own. Deep down inside Danno is a huge coward.

You are a horse's ass-political winds blow and people get dumped-urging coppers be 'nice' to anyone dumped from the academy that might be the person who ruffled your feathers is fool hardy and cowardly- and something a real working street cop would not do.
