More Jaywalking Missions!!!
- Another strong-arm robbery was reported in Lincoln Park early this morning, but police said they had no reason to connect it with the recent series of muggings that have put the area on edge.
A 20-year-old woman was approached by two assailants just after midnight in the 800 block of West Webster Avenue. One of them hit her in the face with a handgun and snatched her purse

Dress up either of these guys (or a couple other people our readers could name) and these Lincoln Park muggings would stop overnight. Stop dead as a matter of fact.

Time for an outdoor roll call. It seems everytime that happens some shit happens on the other end of the district. It's almost like the bad guys have telephones that are mobile and some sort of device that picks up our police radio frequency channel or scans all of them to find out what we are doing!

I don't get it...is it a jaywalking mission, or an anti-jaywalking mission? What about these "public violence" missions? I mean, don't we have enough public violence? Or are we supposed to be against the public violence, which is to say, we are for private violence, or domestic violence, as long as it's not in public? I just don't get it.
And why do we have zero tolerance against some gangs only during limited time periods and geographic boundries? Does that mean that at other times, we have tolerance of these gangs?

Isn't "Obstruction of the roadway by a non-motorist" illegal and an arrestable offense?
CPD is following the Suburban model,its all part of Failed Model Approach.
I know, J-Fed is doing such a great job, he's hammering those folks that are blatantly thumbing their nose at society and he'll make some hard needed cash for the city.
Those folks that are victims of more serious crimes as mentioned... that's "an acceptable level of crime".

I'm all for getting some of these asshole motorists tickets for driving like idiots, but how about just assigning that to the traffic coppers downtown? Give 'em a digital camera and be done with it!
Oh, can we get someone at Madison and Canal? There are just some insane people at that intersection in their taxis, BMW SUVs, etc.

why is it that only people assigned to traffic can work the crosswalk mission? They come into my district that I work every in and get to make overtime, but I am told that I can't work it. Maybe they need to stop writing the grants so that only traffic personnel can work these events.

Maybe with some luck while those officers are out on their jaywalking mission they become victims from those muggers. Now they issue a ticket to the motorist, make the arrest of the offenders, & J-fed & the Commander can take credit, and say the jaywalking mission was a ruse to lure the muggers. And everybody will be happy
Maybe they were just a couple of down on their luck Dubliners, looking to score enough money to buy a pint at Glasscott's.
