Cops Hurt in Crash

  • Five people, including two police officers, were seriously injured after a police car collided with another vehicle early Sunday in the Homan Square neighborhood on the West Side.

About 1:45 a.m., a squad car was responding to a call when it collided with a civilian vehicle at Harrison Street and Kedzie Avenue, police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.

Two police officers and three civilians, whose ages were not yet known, were transported in serious to critical condition to area hospitals, according to Fire Media Affairs Chief Kevin MacGregor. All had non life-threatening injuries, MacGregor said.

Reports have the cops assigned to MSF. The civilians were DUI. Get well soon Officers.

I wonder if any of these civilians were under age drinkers or young enough to be out after curfew? And will any be charged as such.

Hope everyone is all right.

The most dangerous thing we do every tour, and going to and from work is drive.

WEAR THE DAMN SEALT BELT!!

If you think you can't get out of the car fast enough, BULLSHIT. It is a practiced move like drawing your weapon smoothly. If you really think it is a problem, go to a (Ford or Chevrolet) dealer parts department and ask for a SEAT BELT EXTENTION. They are free and will position the release closer to your midsection.

Stay safe, drive carefully.

Yes, wear the belts...and use caution when proceeding through an intersection, even with your emergency equipment on...Right of way is GIVEN, never TAKEN.
I suspect that is why no tickets
were issued on this one.

So, is it true??? Both the civilians AND the MSF cops were DUI??? That's what I get from reading this introduction to the thread. "Reports have the cops from MSF and the civilians DUI".

Just kidding. A little levity, folks. I'm just surprised that no one else picked up on this, particularly the media whores.

Get well SLOWLY, officers. Enjoy your holidays off before you rush back to generate revenue and stats for the bossholes.
