What Was to be Posted

The following is the article we had all ready to go when Chicago was announced as the Olympic winner. We were 99% convinced that it was in the bag for Chicago and we were prepared to spend the next seven years being proven correct about cost overruns, crooked contracting, connected payouts and all manner of typical Chicago perfidy.

We'll just say we've never been more happy to be wrong about something.
  • We'd like to apologize to everyone reading.

We're sorry we didn't do more to garner at least a single "No" vote in the City Council.

We're sorry we didn't mobilize a hundred, maybe even a few hundred people to circulate petitions, make calls, get the word out to another few hundred people and start a grass roots campaign.

But most of all, we're apologizing to our children, our grandchildren and yours. We're sorry we didn't vote these fools out of office years ago. We're sorry that you and your families and your friends are doomed to a crushing debt that won't be paid off for three and four generations when the Olympic Games come to Chicago. We're sorry that we couldn't save what was once one of the greatest cities in these United States from the hands of a common thief and his merry band of plunderers.
The Olympic committee made this entire post unnecessary. Chicago's doom may come to pass at the hands of a madman anyway - Shortshanks is going to be under a bit of pressure from here on out - but at least it's going to be a bit more difficult.

Well from the sounds of the abc7 report, this letter of apology still stands because he hasn't got anything but a 600 million deficit and once again citizens are left holding an empty bag.

TRANSLATION: What a bunch of pompous arrogant idiots. The Obamas, that illiterate mayor, the Winfrey woman. We were supposed to act like they had just parted the Baltic Sea.

We still can't explain how these crooks got even 18 votes in their first (and last) round.

After watching the Bears play Seattle last Sunday, I had hoped to never see those horrid Seahawk jerseys again.

And then, lo and behold, there was the delegation from Rio 2016, wearing their jerseys yesterday!!!!!

Dear SCC,

For your future writings, please consider not capitalizing the first letter in the word, shortshanks, regardless of where it is used in a sentence. The capitalization of the first letter seems, at least to me and maybe others, to give his moniker more importance than deserved.

Also, when referring to him, please consider doing the same with the words, daley, da mare, dick-tator, fifth floor jag at the helm, mayor, piece of shit, shorty, tyrant, worm and any and all other references to him. He is truly worthy of nothing more.

Thanks for all your hard work, regardless if you find or do not find merit in my suggestion.

Signed,

Proud Old Retired Non-Merit Sarge

Yesterday I was listening to the Score 670AM after the Olympic announcement and an e-mailer sent in this gem:

Rio has won the 2016 Olympic Games...
and in a related story, the 2012 Taste of Chicago has been awarded to... BRUSSELS!

But also cut off the beast's head and hide it for three days to make sure. Hiding the head is the only way to ensure the beast's head cannot possibly rejoin the body and thereby allow shortshanks to rise again! He is one resilient prick! Never doubt his cunning and treachery.

On a serious note to Patrick Fitzgerald, a half-hearted or incompetent investigation will give him the wiggle room he would need to escape justice. A RICO charge might finally bury him and keep him down forever! If you's FEDS can do it to the mob, why not the daley crime mob? It is all there, you just have to look under every rock.

I wonder how many slum buildings Fitzpatrick owns? There has to be a reason he don't lock Daley up. Probably they have finally let him dip his beak into the now dead olympic bonanza. He has just become "One of the boys" at rthe "Hall"

I'm gladd the IOC didn't fall for the city's BS. They allowed the Da Mare to spend big bucks to wine and dine them, but in the end they stuffed it in the Da Mare's rear end with no lube.

I can't seem to find the video, but Jay Leno thought he knew why Rio won and Chicago didn't.

He showed a video of the always stunning, near naked women dancing in the streets of Rio during Carnivale', then compared it to a Chicago video of two big fat guys in swimsuits dancing on a beach, fat jiggling everywhere (think Chris Farley sized).

Funny stuff.

I've been saying since the beginning that Rio had it in the bag.

The Chicago 2016 committee could have just paid me half of what they spent and saved themselves a lot of trouble.

Hey, it's not like the $48,000,000 wasn't well spent. We DID get 18 votes after all. That's just a little over 2.5 million a vote.

Call me a whore if you must but I admit I would vote for Daley if he gave me $2.5 million.

The reason the local media was so stunned by the first round elimination of Chicago from the Olympics was the media was so busy eating up everything the Mayor's Press Corp told them. What they were told, straight to print. No checking. No verifying. No independent research. Just repeat the homerisms they were fed.

Perhaps if the media had gotten out of their warm cozy offices, went out and talked to the citizens, they might have learned something. Something like the fact that other than Daley and his criminal cabal, no one in the city really wanted these games.

Thanks for paying attention Sarge, I was around when there were lots like you, God how I miss those days. In the not too distant past it was actually enjoyable to go to work. I had such a great partner I didn't want to take off because I feared I might miss something good.

We all used to pitch in to get something done, if a PO had a complicated arrest he or she would find their co-workers giving a hand to get it done quicker, no one had to ask for help. Sure there were dogs but for the most part we helped each other. There was lots to be proud of, that's for sure. Those days won't soon be seen again.

Great, and if we are lucky the 2010 Bud Billiken Parade will be awarded to Gary, Indiana, the Puerto Rican/Humboldt Park Fest will go to lucky Aurora, IL and the Cinco de Mayo Celebration will take it's rightful place in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.

And the next Mayor of Chicago will send a battalion of bulldozers and dump trucks to Northerly Island to clear the land in preparation for the construction of a state of the art airport with facilities for helicopters and a genuine US Coast Guard Rescue Station with a permanently assigned USCG Helo.

And the next Mayor's Chief of Staff, daughter of former mayor Jane Byrne will quietly and systematically begin eradicating any trace that anyone named Daley ever lived here while denying it all the way.

The British and Australians and maybe a few Middle East US supported governments voted for Chicago. Those with sense knew the real score and voted accordingly. Donations from the public indeed.

Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat, nothing up my sleeve...
