Again With the Blunt Objects?

School violence in the CPS:
  • A student at Hope College Preparatory High School was hurt during a fight that erupted near the school on Chicago's South Side, according to a Chicago Public Schools spokeswoman.

Officers responded to the school, 5515 S. Lowe Ave., about 8:15 a.m. following reports of the fight, said Chicago Police Officer Robert Perez, a police spokesman.

The victim was hit in the head with a blunt object and taken to the University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital. He was reported in good condition.

Although Perez said police responded to the fight outside the school, CPS spokeswoman Monique Bond said the fight, apparently involving a group of teens, happened a few blocks away.

We didn't realize whacking people in the head with blunt objects was considered "college preparatory" class work. It must be one of those progressive ideas that Huberman is known for.

Is there anything that CPS can't do?

Huberman will fix it! He has fixed ALL the problems in each department he has worked in throughout the city. Huberman really is the best. He has fixed all of CTA's problems while almost collecting a police pension....now that is good!

Just a misunderstanding... Their baseball team was just working out and the catcher, LaCarmetheass "Yogi Berra" Smith, leaned in a little too close to the plate when Rajamuhammud "Babe Ruth" Jones was going into his home run swing. Ya gotta love the little dickenses for emulating their Yankee baseball heroes!

Coincidentally, Jesse Jackson had already made plans to ride the bus to Hope College Preparatory High School when he heard of the error. He was reportedly felt 'disenfranchised' because he had already written a rhymey speech for the media opportunity that delved deeply into the school's name of "Hope" including hope for our chilrun and hope for our future.

Instead, Jesse has announced a boycott of major league baseball until they give him his own team so he can feel franchised once again! Don't you just love the old narcissistic arrogant bastard?

I strongly urge the Mayo and Shitty Council to quickly enact a law banning all "blunt objects" within the city limits.

Allowing our children access to all these blunt objects is just silly, silly, silly.

Oh, and by the way, MASTERS.

It was a hollow thin metal mop handle (2 feet long) and was so fragile it bend easily. By the way they fail to mention the alleged "victim" was the one with the "pole" hitting others when another student grabbed the "pole" from him and hit him back. You shouldn't hit others with a weapon if you don't want them to take it from you and hit you back.

"You ask people not to blame the police yet you blame the CPS for what kids do?

The police don't have the imposed by law responsibility to 'educate', don't have access 5 days a week, 6 hours a day, to indoctrinate the impressionable minds of 'kids', aren't empowered as the de facto authority of knowledge, wisdom and the educational version of claimed superiority, and have little to no influence on the minor aged citizens they come in contact with in the course of doing their jobs.

Teachers employed by the cps do, albeit the fact that they are mostly hamstrung from consistently doing the right things, by the incompetent management under which they are forced to submit to.

That's why a total voucher system of taxpayer financing of the entire educational system is the beginning of a solution to the mess that is the chicago public school system.

Of course, the teachers union is a big part of why a total voucher system of the use of tax dollars to publicly finance education will likely never come to be.

Much less effective, from the teachers' union's point of view, to have to negotiate labor agreements with individual, stand alone schools, than to do so with the massive conglomerate of the cps as a whole.

Also much easier to prevent the inclusion of performance and outcome standards into said labor contracts.

And this massive conglomerate makes it much less of a challenge to keep in place educational 'standards' that are proven failures, and much more difficult for both authentic teachers to be hired and retained, and for authentic teaching to occur.

The entire system is not designed to teach to the best outcome, neither for the individual student, nor for the benefit of society as a whole, but, instead, is designed to continue to suck the well of the taxpayers' pockets dry.

This is the Achilles' Heel of our Democracy, the intentional dumbing down of each successive generation, the insidious deceptions being foisted upon our youth, all for the purpose of discouraging critical thinking, rational reasoning and the acquiring of accurate information.

We, as citizens, have accepted as fact that we 'have no choice' but to live with this shit, to live with the worst forms of human behavior, both from our elected officials, those they employ and within ourselves.

Those 7 Deadly Sins have become our collective version of the 10 Commandments.

The funny thing is that this "victim" brought the pipe to school to beat someone and the "offenders" took it away from him and beat him with it. Ha.
