Rahm Emanuel, the irrepressible White House chief of staff and former congressman from Chicago responsible for that "thumpin''' that Republicans took in the House elections of 2006, the one who might have liked to be speaker of the House some day, could have other aspirations back home.
So says Sally Quinn, the veteran columnist of the Washington Post. Other, more knowledgeable handicappers of the Chicago political scene doubt this scenario seriously.
Count us among the doubters. No way this goof has any local aspirations.

Hey, lets not forget that Chicago is the Democratic stronghold in the midwest.
If you think that the mayor of Chicago doesn't have just as much, or even more power than a senator from Illinois you are greatly mistaken.
Daley is Muscle, Obama and every other bleeding heart liberal asshole who wants to be anything in the upper half of illinois needs the blessing of the machine.
Chicago mayor is a POWERFUL spot, although it is slowly diminishing with everything being leased one by one.

So, let me get this straight, after years of complaining that minorities can't pass the CPD entrance tests, now they are going to get rid of them altogether?
Can we lower the bar any further? Is it possible? And if we get rid of the tests, how will minorities be able to file all those lawsuits?

Rahm was in town over the weekend. I saw him at the russian bath house 3500 N Cicero. I go every Saturday am during the winter usually I am the only non russian their. To my surprise Rahm and two other of friends spent about two hours their. He kept to himself.

Rahm would be great for Chicago. You guys fail to see that Obama and co. does not have loyalties to Daley. Daley dissed Obama when he ran for prez and only jumped on the wagon when he was winning. Re Rahm Emanuel's brother, Dr Ezekiel, he is known as the Dr Mengele of Hitler's extermination camps. Google his name and see for yourself. He is responsible for creating the basics of the health care bill...he believes that only able-bodied citizens who can work and be productive, are worthy of health care. Senior citizens, the disabled, children do not qualify for health care as they cannot produce for the good of all. And so rationing of healthcare will be implemented to the extreme for these groups and they will die while waiting to see a doctor, to receive treatment, that is if it is granted by Dr. Death and his staff. It has already started with the rationing of H1N1 flu shots. being denied to anyone over 65.Medicare would not pay for it and you could not pay for it yourself..it wasn't "allowed." When a surplus of the vaccine became available, then this rationing was discontinued. Stop this insanity, fight to take this country back, stop these communists/socialists/marxists or your life and that of your children will be lost to a life of hell.
Remember what Rahm says, "never let a crisis go to waste." Watch what obama does, NOT what he says...they are serial liars...all good communists/socialist/marxists are.

back in the day when you wanted to move to a unit, your clout would go to his clout, then he would request you and they would pull your voting records to see if you and your family vote for city elections, I know because I never voted as a young cop and when I asked to go to a specialized unit, they pulled my voting records and I never used to vote, but my clout was heavy enough to still pull it off, that was the old way, now that is not done, I will never vote in this city ever again, It is a disgrace and I can't imagine why the G has not got to daley, I know he insulates himself around people who will take the fall, but he will make a mistake, someone will get weak and the link will be broken, I think he is really worried about the present situationwith his pal Mike Scott doing himself , I don't think he will run again if he does it will be a big mistake, I think the next mayor will be Hispanic , but not Black.
