"We have also met with Commander O’Neill over the FSLA grievance. The city is offering to make our 4 Personal Days “Super Days” where the city will not be able to deny your request for the day off, except for a few days that will be blacked out. (New Year’s Eve, Bud Billiken Day, and the 3rd of July). We gave the city a counter offer for additional days and are awaiting their answer."
Super days, but not Bud Billiken!!!! What does that say about Bud Billiken, just another savage fest where police are needed to keep them from killing each other. Time to put an end to a ridiculous, useless parade that only gets more and more violent each year. Last year we were told not to sling rifles on our posts. The order says we will use our discretion when making that decision. This year every PO should be slinging a rifle because it is needed and necessary.
As always, the choreography is frantic and the faces leave a lot to be desired.
