- Word is a student at Prosser Career Academy High School was diagnosed with tuberculosis (TB) in the past week or so. And, some students have shown signs of having TB with many teachers, students, and staff members being tested for TB
Seeing as how we have fellow officers stationed in these schools, along with kids who bring all manner of disease and such from home, keep an eye out for this.

Many kids from Mexico test + for TB. Usually a chest X-Ray and proof that the child adhered to the treatment regime is sufficant for them to be cleared to retured to school.
I wonder if all the hospitals in the area will detail 2 nurses to the school to help out?
IF YOU DIDN'T HEAR YET, THERE IS A RISE IN THE LICE INFESTATION IN SOME OF THE HOUSES IN CHICAGO. A WHOLE TEAM GOT LICE IN THEIR HAIR, HAD TO BE TREATED LAST WEEK. THE EVIDENCE THEY BROUGHT INTO THE STATION FROM THEIR SEARCH WARRANT HAD LARVAE ON IT THAT ALSO INFESTED THEIR OFFICE. IF YOU START ITCHING FOR A DAY OR SO ON YOUR BODY FOR NO REASON....SEEK MEDICAL ADVICE OR TREATMENT.

Altough infectious it is very difficult to get TB. There is a lot of information online if you are concerned.
How much you want to bet it originated in a foreign country? Remember boys and girls, "Don't ask, Don't tell."

NEWS ITEM: It is believed that the recent increase in lice infestation incidents eminated from the Chicago City Council chambers which has for years hosted a large colony of lice which sem immune to any efforts to dislodge them.
Shelter kids living with piss bums.
Another added bonus of being a "sanctuary city."

TP is rampant in countries like Mexico. You can thank the sanctuary mayor for allowing this to happen.
LOL - ask any Mom who's dealt w/ lice. It's no fun. But if you're a little freaked, try this - put one or two drops of tea tree oil (yes from some overpriced health food store... or sometimes from Jewel) into your shammpoo. It smells like turpentine - but the lice don't like it either.
And note - lice are racist. Most US lice only likes white people's hair - they don't like the texture of black hair.
If you do get it - put olive oil in your hair and let it sit for 4 hours (I know, yuck), then wash it out. Do this 3 times, 5 days apart, and you'll break the lice life cycle.
