An FTO has to bid for furloughs with the unit but has to pick his watch with only the other FTO's. They are screwed out of their watch and furlough. It's a lot to give up for an extra $2200 or so, about a dollar per day.

The whole idea is this: if they are being segregated for the watches the same should apply for the furloughs. It's that simple. There are only a few FTO's in a district so an furlough bid would be easy.

I work in 025 and let me offer you a little bit of perspective. Garrido is being sent to 021 because he was dumb enough to allow a car chase from 3400 North Central all the way to Foster and Central and then onto I-90 West and all the way down to Elgin. Lt. Conroy the acting watch commander terminated the chase but Garrido got on the air and allowed it to continue and Conroy said "well dupe this whole job to him squad".
Garrido is very lucky that no one died or was injured. Because if they were then there would be hell to pay and punitive damages for the involved officers.
Garrido being the true politician he is decided to run as a Republican for County Board President knowing he would lose and thus this would shield him from punitive actions from the department for his bone headed move in allowing the chase to continue to Elgin.
I don't know Garrido.... But BOY DO I KNOW Juan"FAT BASTARD Morado!!! All I can say to dear old FB is that what comes around goes around mofo.....
Morado was never a team player, never a leader, screwed over everyone and anything in his path. QUADRUPLE MERITORIOUS HACK....
One that likes to hit on the ladies in his units and when they refuse his advances he makes your life miserable as i will describe below.
After a large 10-1 in Rockwell Gardens shots fired at the police where MORADO headed Housing West, were I was working at the time, I broke my leg in 3 spots in that 10-1. After we quieted the savages down, recovered guns and dope, he had us do a walk down of the building 13 floors with a broken leg, and he looked at me like I was faking!!!!! And told several people including a Deputy Chief that.... Well when the Deputy got the call that i was indeed injured a few hours later Morado was one big sweating fat PIG.....
I asked for an IOD he denied it..... After an HOUR of begging for one after I told him my leg was BROKE he signed one and told me to GO HOME.... No ambulance, NOTHING. He said if my leg didnt feel better the next day go on the medical and go see a doc..... He wouldnt call an ambulance..... I got in my personal vehicle drove MYSELF to Sinai and called it in over the air that i was in my personal car driving myself to the hospital with a broken leg because MORADO refused me care, ambulance and almost and IOD........ He got in some DEEP DOO DOO after that one.
A friend who is now a Capt in 010 drove herself and met me in the hospital for support. Thanks Capt CP!
He then sent a whole tact team and 2 of his henchmen hack Sgts to the hospital and the Sgts wanted the ORIGINAL IOD he filled out BACK. I said tell Fat Bastard he can kiss MY ASS. Fat chance that Fat Bastard was getting that back...... He buried himself, it is on the air and i have the IOD to prove what he wrote and did to me. I told the Sgts to get out of my room. The tact guys were friends, witnessed that my car was parked directly at the Emergency room and Morado wanted them to transport my car home. I again got on the radio and denied any help from Morado and i refused to hand over my personal car keys to anyone but my family.
He called my home when i got out of the hospital and to send "well wishes" and offered me a "driver" to get to and from the medical section as long as needed........ I blankly and frankly told him to go PHUCK HIMSELF and hung up. Boy he didn't want a lawsuit!!! A personal driver?? When all he needed to do was call an ambulance for me in the first place??

I've been lucky enough to call John one of my best friends for around 17 years, and I don't work in 025. The jealousy and hatred spewed on here towards him has always amused me...and him. Jealousy is an ugly virtue.

Is it possible the new commander of 025 simply wanted to bring in his own tac. Lt.... someone he has known for a long time, trusts and has confidence in? Lt. Pena is not afraid to shake things up but she knows her stuff and isn't out to hurt anyone.
If Lt. Garrido has merit for a lawsuit I wouldn't hold it against him. I am a blue shirt and I don't understand why there is so much anger against one of our own that runs for office in order to better himself. If he won any office he would be more understanding of our plight and probably do a better job than a career poltician. He was good as a Sgt. They are both good bosses and will do fine. What part of DENIED an IOD don't you get..... I was denied and IOD for almost 2 HOURS...... He would NOT allow me or my partners to call an ambulance. The only way around it was when he FINALLY signed a bullshit IOD was I able to leave. I was astute enough to take my radio because i was STILL on the CLOCK and call in AFTER I got the IOD. He wanted me to go home without going to the hospital so he could SAY i was not IOD in that 10-1.......... I covered my ass and made sure I WAS PROTECTED because God knows he didnt protect anything but himself and his ALCOHOL............
I wasnt going to go against a DIRECT ORDER, which it was....... But i was injured severely. I was harrassed repeatedly by Juan Morado's sexual advances early on when he replaced one hell of a LT that rocked in Housing West. I would have had a limo driving me to the hospital if i took him up on his offers. I had a vowel at the end of my name and he thought i was hispanic..... Sorry I am Italian. And told him that when he tried grabbing my ass in the hallway in Housing West...... I am not one to sue, or rock the boat, i just kept stepping and WORKING....... Females deal with a different game on this job then men. You roll with the punches, and keep moving on........... AS I DID....... But when i was injured, refused Morado's advances for months he paid me back with NO AMBULANCE as a direct order and begging for an IOD, and his other two hack Sgt's followed his orders as well.... Two mistakes I made, I should have sued his ass and transferred out sooner.
So if you werent there you don't know... And there are PLENTY of witnesses to these events.

I didnt post this (previous),but you need to go back to sleep on your Beat. Dont embarass yourself and the guys that do have some pride in the job by talking trash....... STFU and GFY!
1. Garrido is white, and has spent his whole life being white not hispanic.
2. Garrido is a combine guy. To say the machine is upset with him is a joke. The machine is in bed with the combine.
3. Garrido may run in the aldermanic race, but it's non-partisan jokers. No one gets a party designator. The chances of getting elected in that race are going to be about 5% because there will be 20 candidates.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO TRUE. BUT THEY WON'T ADMIT TO IT. IT WAS SO NATURAL AND 'THE NORM' THAT NOW IT'S SOMEONE ELSE THEY HATE IT, HATE IT, AND HATE IT!
I've been keeping an eye on John G's career and so far I'm impressed. Keep up the good work and you will go far. Being a rat may not be easy but it sure is fulfilling.

Yeah, I heard that Garrido had it in for an officer and made that guy posted on a foot position on NORTH AVENUE AND CENTRAL. What an asshole! Post an officer on foot patrol in a dangerous neighborhood because your ego is too fucking big.
Juan was good as a po. and a sgt and was shot in the line of duty, yes he has been meritorious everything, i can see one for the shooting but that is it, dont know what happened when he made lt. and higher...
I did hear that as a Lt everything suddenly became legit, which I found humeorus considering he was a huge scammer and usually had to be found at Simpsons..
weis may some day find out who really runs this department and it isn't him. He is finding out he can't accomplish anything without the cooperation of those under him and his screaming fits and bouts of punishment/banishment might work at the FBI but they won't work here. All he will accomplish is to generate a department full of pissed off coppers who won't produce for him and will work hard to make him look bad.
He is well on the way.

Neither one of these guys were known as "good bosses" that had the P.O.s backs. They were guys looking out for their own best interests. That is their prerogative, but they weren't very well liked and won't be missed.

Can't speak for the first remark, but the second remark is completely wrong. The guy is always around.
O.T. went to Tom Libert's retirement party tonite...great captain...great guy who retired on his own terms even after the idiot commander MM from 017 made the call to have Libert dumped to 024 1st watch where in the end, he ended up on 3rd watch...boss we will miss you ..congrats

To SCC just stated the facts didn't violate rules. The officer with the rant about Capt. Morado made up most of her story. This should be printed so everyone can make an informed opinion. We were there and know the true story
