Carnage Continues (UPDATES)

  • A person was killed by gunfire in the East Chatham neighborhood tonight, [a] Gresham District Lt. [...] said.

The male victim gunned down at 79th Street and Maryland Avenue was one of at least five people shot on the South or Southeast Side tonight, police said.

The victim was taken from 79th and Maryland to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 7:03 p.m., according to a representative of the Cook County medical examiner's office.

And the Super-nintendo hasn't been seen in public for days now. We know he had a bunch of packing to do for his upcoming overseas trip with Masters Masters Masters, Brust and Ray-Ray. It's amazing that in trying economic times, so many of our "leaders" can make a trip like this. Is the policy group going along to carry the suitcases?

UPDATE: Five more dead in a night of violence:
  • It was a night of exceptionally heavy violence on a warm night in Chicago.

Five people died and at least 11 others were wounded in shootings across the South, Southwest and Southeast sides Thursday night, police said, an area stretching from 900 West 53rd Street to 2500 East 93rd Street.

Shots fired at the police down south also. There may have been shots returned, but no confirmation at the moment. no one hurt on our side, so that's good.

My CI says we will know what the arbitrator's ruling is today. Put it in the bank.

That info cost me $20, I hope it's money well spent.

Sarcasm on...

This mayhem and misery is just out of control. Too many innocent people are getting killed. I hope I can sleep tonight.

Sarcasm off...

it's been said countless times before, but allow me to reiterate it again: all you liberal, anti-police, Obama-voting, bleeding-heart, naive jackasses have gotten the police you wanted. Enjoy the uncertainty that accompanies wondering when/if you'll be the next victim.

Neither your post or the link at the top give ALL known details of J-Fled's "overseas trip"? Please give specifics: destination(s)?, stated purpose? Accompanied by ____________? Tentative length of absence from Chicago?

Did the coward bring his "gear"?

This city is up for grabs. 6 dead and 11 wounded, some critical, sounds more like a report from a war zone rather than the morning crime report. Sure sounds like the strict Chicaqo gun laws aren't exactly having the effect their proponents claimed. The first duty of government is to secure the lives, liberty and property of the citizens. When government cannot provide such security, the citizens will protect and secure themselves by any means at hand.
Our criminal justice system is broken down because it is overloaded and we have elected and appointed wimpy judges. The system is overloaded because we have allowed the family and school system to disintegrate. We are at DEFCON 1.
Time for all to arm or get the hell out of this city and state.

All you rapid cars in northside districts get ready to head south and west. And just think this was the 1st night of temperatures in the upper 70's. Can you picture what a night in August will be like? Don't think Dugan's implementations are working! Bye Bye Danny Boy!

When shots are fired at the Police, the return fire should be a m*therf*cker. "Magazine dump" is the term Im looking for. I fully realize the cowards have fled by the time the Copper jumps out and puts the bead on them. Drive with the windows down, pistol in lap usually helps.

Talks about the Nat Guard being deployed to Chicago for June, July and August. Two problems they may have to deploy for May and stay through September and most Nat Guard are already deployed overseas. Verdict being short a couple of hundred police officers it will be a long summer!!!! Stay safe!! Don't forget one would rather be tried by twelve than carried by six!!!!!

Geez, in the old days, 30 days on a felony warrant, and you could apply for (and get) a UFAP. Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution at the "G."

Since nobody can find JFled since the famous "Gotta Run," Maybe a modified UFAP (Unlawful Flight to Avoid the Press) could be written up?

Phoenix, AZ—Governor Jan Brewer signed into law a significant measure of liberty for all law-abiding citizens. Carrying a concealed weapon is no longer a crime. No permits are required but the gun-packing people must not be convicted felons, mental defects or drug addicts. Those convicted of domestic violence are also prohibited. To enjoy the new liberty you must be at least 21 years of age. I call it a "new" liberty since it has been gone so long.

Arizona now joins Vermont and Alaska as states that have fully legalized self-defense.

Those Arizonans that wish to carry their weapons in the 40 or so states that recognize Arizona CCW permits should keep renewing theirs. Also the display of the CCW permits during police traffic stops will be appreciated by police officers.

The current process by the Department of public safety to issue CCW permits will continue for those wishing to obtain them.

Just because the training requirement has been discontinued does not mean training is not important. The training can save lives and keep you out of jail. Knowing the laws and liability of the justifiable use of deadly force is very important for anyone that refuses to be a crime victim. Contact the NRA or the Arizona State Rifle Association for training referrals. The Department of Public safety has a list of training schools on their website too.

The new law takes effect 90 days after the current legislative session ends, probably putting the effective date in July or August. I don’t suspect that cops, prosecutors or the courts will want to do much with people that jump the gun on the timing of the new law.
