Not a Happy Day
In addition to the south side going up, the mayhem on the west side is ratcheting up:
- A 17-year-old boy died after he was shot in the chest Monday evening on the West Side.
- A woman in her 50s was found stabbed to death inside her Lawndale home Monday night on the West Side, police said.
- A man who was critically shot late Monday night -- his 27th birthday -- as he sat in a parked vehicle in Chicago's Garfield Park neighborhood, has died.
All in a matter of hours. All in Harrison.

Hey speaking of Father Phleger, i saw him this last sunday nite in Uncle Julio restaurant on North Ave with 3 other's. how can this man and the others each eat a $20.00 meal while the people in his community have to eat chips and grape pop from the arab store on the corner. Just wondering. I/F
