- Chicago Police Supt. Jody Weis said he will personally join officers on patrol in a crime-ridden neighborhood Friday night in the wake of a rash of shootings that left seven people dead and at least 15 others wounded.
Four of the fatal shootings happened within a period of about an hour and a half overnight.
"That is unacceptable in an American city and it's totally unacceptable in a city as great as Chicago. We are not Chi-raq, we are Chicago," Weis said at a news conference at Police Headquarters on Friday.

In any case, the manpower shortages continue to affect the Department's ability to respond to conditions in the 'hood. Chronic mismanagement by gold star talking heads and an unofficial reduction in force via a hiring freeze have rendered us almost incapable of even performing a holding action. J-Fled's dog, pony and chicken show isn't going to do shit.

Got a message from our Commander tonight via the PDT that stated (not verbatim) that any marked or unmarked squad car conducting police business i.e. traffic stops street stops, field investigations, curfews, truancy stops will have their mars lights activated, "to give the impression" (direct quote), of a higher level of police presence. It also stated that a General Order was soon to follow regarding this per J-Fled.

You could put 20,000 officers on the streets and have each one lock up one shit head but unless the States Attorney starts approving more felony charges and the courts start imposing stiffer sentences nothing will change.

As for the courts, start locking these animals up for longer periods. I don't care if the prisons are over crowded. So the outbreak and escalation of violence in Chicago is nothing new to this city (somebody please tell Mayor Daley); the parody on the city's name (Chi-raq instead of Beirut) is because of current events and circumstances and because J-fed believes he is clever using the term.

The guy was Andrew Thayer, brother of Spencer (memba him?). He works for Loevy and Loevy and he was found not guilty at trail.
States Attorney Office is just plain lazy and a complete waste of taxpayers monies! There better at letting people getting away with crimes then convicting people with crimes!
