Bad News Part II
After a frantic hour-long desert search, authorities found a deputy wounded in a shootout Friday with suspected illegal immigrants apparently hauling bales of marijuana along a major smuggling corridor in southern Arizona.
The deputy was found with a superficial wound - a chunk of skin torn from just above his left kidney - after being shot with an AK-47 on Friday afternoon, Pinal County sheriff's Lt. Tamatha Villar said. He was flown by helicopter to a hospital in Casa Grande, about 40 miles south of Phoenix.
Villar said the deputy was doing smuggling interdiction work and found bales of marijuana in the desert. He then encountered five suspected illegal immigrants, two armed with rifles, and was shot.
Texas and New Mexico are next up.

Unfortunately, Arizona just modified their new law today, effectively handcuffing the police.
"The changes include one strengthening restrictions against using race or ethnicity as the basis for questioning by police and inserts those same restrictions in other parts of the law.
Another change states that immigration-status questions would follow a law enforcement officer's stopping, detaining or arresting a person while enforcing another law. The earlier law had referred to a "contact" with police."
How long before the conspiracy theorists suggest that this was done by right wing conservatives or the Arizona government?
The law mirrors the federal immigration law.
It's not about racial profiling. It's about those that draw attention to themselves: criminals.
Thousands of people stay below the radar every day. These people will continue to be unaffected by this law.

The appetite for drugs in this country is destabilzing Mexico just like it did Columbia in the 80's.
Treat it like a public health issue.
Marijuana interdiction is not worth the life of any cop or some innocent caught in a chase or crossfire.
If people want to use harder drugs let them. Then send in the hearses to collect the corpses and take them to the crematorium.

I am all for what needs to be done with our borders. A friend lives in Az and another in CA and they both say the illegals are using ALL resources to the max [RE: free clinics,schools, hospitals, etc]. When one comes here legally this country will open their arms and say welcome. IF you came illegally, no matter from what country, GO HOME and do it the right way! Just pisses me off!

ICE estimates that their are close to one million illegal immigrant criminals in this country that need to be found and deported. They stated that there was a disconnect between state prisons and ICE and the convicted criminals released back into society. The illegals from Arizona will either go to California, Texas or Illinois .

Sheriff support is also called "the posse" out there. While it is short notice, I am asking that volunteers that do more than sit around and TALK about doing something,call and give some time. After all 3 OFFICERS were shot by AK-47's out there. Until they are fully recovered my intention is to get a bunch of Chicago Ugly bone crushers together shake hands with Sheriff Joe and secure us a spot on that border. Kinda like when a copper got hurt in the jets...LOCK IT DOWN until the bad guy is in custody.(and those that know me KNOW my capability)
This would show support for Sheriff Joe and send a STRONG support message for the Law in Arizona that recently passed.

Pinal County AZ has approx 1 Deputy per 1000 citizens in a coverage area.
In just one patrol area, they had 64 pursuits -- failure to yield for an officer -- in one month alone.
Pinal and Maricopa are different counties. Sheriff Joe assisted in the Deputy shooting and continues to assist in Pinal.
Posse in Maricopa under Sheriff Joe go through training and buy all their own equipment, its not a paid position. Posse also serve in numerous areas. Its a worthy position but not without risks.
Phx is not the place to reside as Mayor Gordon is a Safe Sanctuary lover and he's also responsible for the attacks on Sheriff Joe, along with AZ City Council Mary Wilcox, Al Sharpton, Obama and Holder. Do retire to AZ just outside of Phx till a better hold is in place, hopefully by July. Like wise on vacations come and spend, fight the boycott. Anyone interested in a convention do the same. Try Glendale, North Scottsdale and far very far North Peoria. AZ is friendly, plus we will shortly have concealed carry and NO permit, we don't register. We carry open freely right now. Come on down!
I live in a suburb of Phoenix, and my father and grandfather are retired CPD. Two uncles and some friends are Phoenix PD. The illegal immigration problem here is ruining the state.
State parks around southern AZ are closing because the illegal immigrants drive through the middle of the desert (off the trails), leave trash everywhere, vandalize structures, and destroy local plant life.
We have one of the worst kidnapping, auto theft, etc. crime rates in the country, and all of these illegal activities are traced back to the human smuggling problem in AZ.
The inner-city schools, hospitals, etc. have many illegal immigrants that don't speak English (many of them don't even want to learn) and have no health insurance. They clog the schools, hospitals, etc.
AZ is a great place to live, but as others have said, if Washington won't do anything about the crime and all the other associated problems with a large illegal immigrant population, AZ will. One of the best things about the new law is that it makes shelter cities (like Mayor Phil Gordon is trying to turn Phoenix into) illegal.
It really ticks me off that some people in NYC (and other states and cities that do not have the broder problem we have) are boycotting AZ and protesting. If those people had their parks closing, their schools and their hospitals overwhelmed, and crimes all linked to the illegal immigration problem, they wouldn't be so quick to judge the new law.

Is there a Standing General Order from the Exempt all the way up to the 5th floor that Orders the working Police from Checking Residency status if there is a Legal Probable Cause situation to stop someone and check their ID...
EG: A Traffic Stop or etc..

HARBORING MEANS ANY CONDUCT THAT TENDS TO SUBSTANTIALLY FACILITATE AN ALIEN TO REMAIN IN THE U.S. ILLEGALLY. The sheltering need not be clandestine, and harboring covers aliens arrested outdoors, as well as in a building. This provision includes harboring an alien who entered the U.S. legally but has since lost his legal status.
This would include interference from 42 short or his brain dead lackey's.
