Canceled Days-Off Uncanceled?
Can someone wake us up when a real Superintendent arrives and actually takes charge?
Who the hell is running this show? Dugan? He's gone. Ernie? He just walked in. Bea? She's counting paper clips and getting the drink menu together for the Christmas party. Jimmy? Jimmy??? Someone wake up Jimmy. Steve? Steve's busy making excuses for the D unit and alienating everyone he comes into contact with.
Why do we think Special Events is going to take the hit on this disaster? Someone needs to get axed, and deservedly so, but the axe never hits as high as it should.

My guess is some bean counters in the mayor's office never gave an answer. Someone at HQ finally made a decision to call off RDO's because it was already 5pm and they couldn't wait any longer.
No order was ever written on paper, only sent in emails which are all being deleted and phone messages.

If you were called and told that your day off on the 4th of July 2010 was cancelled and you were then recalled to say that the cancelling of your day off has now be cancelled...
YOU STILL PUT A TIME DUE SLIP IN FOR 4 HOURS. Which will actually be paid at 6 hours due to the holiday - which is then paid at time & a half.... A total of 9 hours of pay.
You see the moment the CPD called you and cancelled your day off you are due a minimum of 4 hours overtime pay as a CALL BACK. And even though the CPD ended up cancelling your day off cancellation, they are still required to pay you the 4 hour call back pay. And since it was for a department holiday it will be paid at double time and a half.
Ahhhh Furlo is grat!!! I've been out of this city for a week already. Lisle fest and Naperville ribfest were also great. No problems and no shitheads. Not spending a dime in this shithole of a city. 8 days off so far- 40 more days off to go. God I love me extended summer furlo.

Why is that we never hear bout Bea and Jimmy? Exactly what is it that they do to earn that ridiculous salary?
Speaking of Jimmy..... Last night in 022 he nearly had a conniption over his baby Church Street. Its unk what interest he has on 113th and Church but this guy is all over it like white on rice. Some say his mom lives there while others say he owns a building. Regardless, he went nuts last night about an on view disturbance and began calling for a Sergeant. While at the same time the lone Sgt road on a man with a gun job. Soon thereafter he ordered the W/C to 113th and Church. Meanwhile not even a mile away at 111th and Western the Sgt had 4 on the car and 3 guns recovered, by himself. I guess Church Street was more important than backing up a fellow officer. Who knows what the result of this hissy fit will be, I bet it's another bullshit detail.
