Let's 'Go Slow' on those calls, it's not worth losing your life or getting injured!

Besides, Jody could care less, he runs away!

Was a chase involving a possible kidnapping by two armed shitheads. The chase was going into Oak Park when 2599 terminated it. Best thing about it was that the offending vehicle was seen by Oak Park PD going at a high rate of speed n/b on Harlem blowing all the lights. I don't even think they attempted to chase themselves.

The crash happened almost immediately following the terminate call made by 2599. Hard to believe that everyone should be ok after seeing the vehicles involved. The whole front end of the Tahoe was practically gone!

No pool cars are available.

the city doesn't care if you die in a crash. The citizens of "Austin" don't care about you.

you only hurt your loved ones when you get laid out in a crash.

Unless its another brother/sister in blue calling for help, take your time get there safely

Best wishes office.

The only job you should go balls-out to is a copper needing help. Every other job gets the "sliding scale of common sense" approach to determine your driving method. I had a 1A job the other night that was a Ride with CFD, woman in cardiac arrest - no way I am cracking up a car or mowing someone down to get to a job that I can't really do anything at anyway!

I haven't heard about this crash yet, but prayers to the coppers involved for a full recovery.

Listen, it's NOT WORTH IT. Unless one of us shot at, killed, or a 10-1 is called. Just FUCK IT.

It's amazing to me that whenever there is a priority 1A (my baby daddy hit me, an arson just occurred, fire, shots fired, etc...) cars go FLYING to the scene. I mean, they are going 60 to even 80 MPH. If you end up hitting a fixed object at those speeds, you are going to die or suffer serious injuries.

Go to your priority 1A jobs. But go safely. Don't be fucking stupid. IT'S NOT WORTH IT.

Slow down guys, you help nobody by not getting to the call. More of us die in crashes than get shot and killed by some shithead. Flying thru intersections is not acceptable anymore.

You guys (and gals) gotta be careful out there. You can't help if you can't get there.

Ease up on the gas and cover the brake at intersections, even when you have the green light.

Go to any of the area garages and look at some of the wrecks that are taken there.

There was an episode of "COPS" filmed in the late 90s in Denver. Two marked squads going to a hot job met in an intersection and it was all caught by the camera crew in one of the cars. One car had the front end ripped off and the other ended up just missing a building. No major injuries, but both cars were totalled. They were on different radio zones and only had the intention of going to a 10-1 to help another officer. Resources were diverted to helping the officers in the two cars instead of helping the officer calling the 10-1.

If you are running hot to a job and get in any kind of accident, it automatically goes to the traffic safety board. A process that makes the Spanish Inquisition look like a cakewalk.

Been there.

This is what happens when you understaff a District. Instead of units always being close by,people have to crisscross districts. Sector and beat integrity is dead, and u fortunately more people are bound to get hurt, get well officers.

If and when you see anti-cop comments when Officers are injured, make sure you accuse media and specific reporter of being "anti-law enforcement". They hate the implication of being in support of gangs.

Amazing how quickly comments disappear altogether/comment section gets completely shut down by media.

Media does not monitor the comments unless you complain- idiots that they are.

I've been successful in past at getting anti-CPD comments/all comments shut down following Officer injury in CPD pursuit vehicle(s) crash.

I would like to thank everybody who responded to this crash. I know there were cars from 011,025, MSF or TRU and all of the 015th District. Everybody worked together and the officers were placed in ambulances as quickly as possible. If you blocked traffic, did crowd control, put up tape, found witnesses or gathered officer’s equipment; it was very much appreciated. A great job was done by everybody while we all hoped for the best as we let CFD do their thing.
To the guys and girls of the CFD, thank you for your professionalism and your expertise.
Two officers were released today and two are still hospitalized. Keep them in your thoughts.
Thanks again,
015 District Supervisor
