How About That Juror?

  • Chicago - The search continues to identify the "holdout" juror who, on some counts at least, prevented the Blagojevich jury from reaching unanimous verdicts to convict.

Jurors who have been interviewed so far will not identify the juror, other than to say the juror was a female.

FOX Chicago News reported that speculation is centering on juror Jo Ann Chiakulas of Willowbrook, after a second-hand acquaintance said that she has been saying for weeks that she would find Blagojevich not guilty.

Chiakulas is a retired director from the Illinois Department of Public Health.

Really? A juror who's been telling people for weeks she wouldn't convict? And worked for the Illinois DPH?

So is this incompetence on the part of Fitzgerald's Office? Or a plant? Or the most obvious, a coincidence of immense proportions? One has to wonder how forthcoming she was on her jury questionnaire.

Might she be a DPH "director" that could've had anything to do with authorizing the hundreds of thousands in treatment for Sam Jr's kid?

Pure speculation on my part, but you know how things work in this crooked-ass state.

I can't wait to see how all this eventually plays out.

Meanwhile, Blogo's hung jury was noted on BBC WORLD NEWS!

When people point-and-laugh at Illinois and its sheeple, be mindful they are not laughing WITH us.

The juror illustrates what someone said on this blog before: "(Most) jurors are dumb!".

How come she wasn't kicked off the jury for conflict-of-interest? She was a retired State worker.

Something smells.

But what do you expect? Most people do a LOT to get off of jury duty.

So if you are complaining about this - the next time they call you - serve instead of making an excuse to get off.

Here is very interesting info about this "juror".
Breitbart Big Gov't has the scoop. She's bad news.
She should be arrested, I think.

If she even talked about the case, even to other jurors, before deliberations started, she should be disqualified.

Who said Illinois is most embarrasing? Power has always corrupted, and always will -- everywhere.

All men would be tryants -- if they could, said Defoe.

Every state, every county, every city, had histories of corruption, power grabs, ranging from the absurd to the diabolical.

Pick a state -- any state -- and I will show you governors that ended up in jail, and dozens more that should have. Judges that took bribes -- law enforcement who were actually criminals.

The human animal is generally a piece of shit -- if they think they can get away with it.

Special assistant for public health of minorities

Department of Public Health Director John Lumpkin named Jo Ann Chiakulas of Chicago as the first special assistant for minority affairs, effective September 16, [1991]. Chiakulas is charged with setting up and supervising the department's new Chicago-based Center for Minority Health Services. Created by H.B. 1216 (PA. 87-633), the center will evaluate the health needs of minorities in Illinois, provide training and technical assistance and improve coordination and communication with minority groups. According to the department, minorities are at greater risk for AIDs, infant mortality, lead poisoning, heart disease, stroke, homicide and high-risk behaviors such as smoking and alcohol use.

Chiakulas was director of the Chicago Urban League's Young Parents Center for over 10 years and was coordinator for the state's Parents Too Soon program. She has also worked with the Chicago Department of Mental Health and the Belden Manor Shelter Care Home in Chicago.

Slightly OT: Why is the media so hot on dogging this lady? Seriously, no one likes jury duty and if she was sincere [always possible] in her belief that he was just talking, she doesn't need to be the goat. Too often in this town somebody has to wear the jacket.

The Feds screwed up;give them the coat. We all know what Blago is and he will go away for a while. Leave the juror alone, move on, there's nothing to see here.

In Crook county everybody who's somebody knows that nobody does nothing for nobody unless they're somebody. Check this juror's political past, I'm sure she became a director on her high qualifications only. Blago owes this retired overpaid hack of a public servent big time unless that's already been taken care of.

Just an ignorant ass bitch. According to the Trib report today, they would have had convictions on 14 counts were it not for her ridiculous logic.

What is that all about? If so, she's got some 'splainin to do. Nothing like a crooked juror from the get go. Just like Blago, all cut from the same cloth. No wonder IL is the laughing stock of the world.
