One Count? That's It?
- A federal jury today convicted former Gov. Rod Blagojevich of only one count against him: lying to the FBI. Jurors said they were deadlocked on the other 23 counts against the former governor, and all four counts against his brother Robert.
Blagojevich, who faces up to 5 years in prison, pursed his lips and shook his head slightly.
Patti rested her head on the chair in front of her and shook her head no several times.
Blagojevich looked at her with an annoyed look on his face.
Rod's probably annoyed he's going to have to sit next to her again as the government retries him on the 23 deadlocked counts.
And lying to the FBI Hell, J-Fled could be indicted for that when he told his buddies their share of the last lunch bill came to $27.53 rather than the actual $22.53.
How about for the next trial they bring up a jury from Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas seeing as how they managed to get at least one complete moron through the process.

Yes, talking to the FBI when they refuse you a court reporter, the agent only taking notes. Now you get to court and you dispute what the agent testifies to and you are convicted of lying to them. captains will be used as fill in watch commanders instead of Lts. Lt's who are bid or get sent out of
their area make time and 1/2. But the captains don't have this provision in their contract.
So if a capt and Lt are scheduled to work on the watch and a w/c is needed elsewhere the capt will be sent as a money saving move.
Maybe not a big deal to most but when u keep pissing off the capt and lts that bitterness has a way of rolling downhill.

Thanks, Dan, for defending yourself, but the plain and simple truth is that you should be "running around" 007 or 003 "like a recruit" demonstrating first-hand the principles you preached when you were the high and mighty Deputy Superintendent. There is no need for another lieutenant at O'Hare. This isn't about hating someone, it is about pointing out the absolute hypocrisy of those in power at the CPD.
How come they can lock someone up for lying to the FBI but not to the CPD?
All he needs is ONE count of guilty to lose his $100,000 state of IL pension!
Fitzgerald ingratiated himself with Obama, Daley, Emmanuel, Madigan, Jackson Jr. and Sr., the list goes on and on.
