Not much coverage in the media though:
- Couple of groups of Latin Kings wilding on the northside lakefront this evening. Multiple armed robbery calls and beating couples. Broke a guys arm during one of the beatings.
- A dozen South Side honor students were arrested in 001 last night for mob action.
20+ m/1 and f/1 teen thugs, dressed in the latest hip-hop shop-lifted school-year fashions from H&M and Hollister, cheered one another on as they gave a sidewalk beat down to an employee of Lizzie McNeill's in Streeterville (018). The horde fled the scene along the river walk and made their way into 001, where 12 of these wipes were cornered at the corner of Wacker/Michigan, being slow of foot and loud of mouth.
The most amazing thing happened when one of the offenders yelled out "Why are you always messing with us? Go arrest that white kid over there." A M/1 citizen overhearing the comment yelled back "Go stick that race card up your *ss."
In addition, several roving mobs of 40+ M/1 and F/1 teens were causing mayhem along Michigan Ave and Chicago Ave.
Let's see - giant tourist area, active nightlife crowd, yuppies and suburbanites. Perfect setting for hunting victims.

I've witnessed a phenomenon recently; suburbanites/people who move here from Iowa or somewhere else in the middle of nowhere, who actually believe that being burglarized or robbed is a "normal" part of the "urban experience".
Other than these idiots, many of them will still believe all the pretty colored charts and write it off to these "poor, urban kids" having nothing and thinking that this behavior is to be expected, because "the man" has held them back and kept the poor for so long.
These folks are just "R.D. Numbers Looking for a Beat of Occurrence".
Wow. The mayor better be careful. He better hire more police to keep the "revenue" areas safe. In fact he better hire more police to make the whole damn city safe! With all the wildings going on, who would want to "enjoy" Chicago nightlife or anything here? I advise all suburban people to avoid going to Chicago for anything fun because they are at risk.
I was downtown Friday on Michigan Ave. I could not believe the groups of male/blacks walking around in groups of four or five talking about where and when they are going to start the fun on the "stupid ass crackers" walking around.
They were all on their phones coordinating there plans.
I will hand it to these fuck wad thugs, at least they know how to communicate their plan of action on those "crackers", because the Chicago Police Department sure does not know how to coordinate a plan to put a stop to this bullshit.
HEY MEDIA! This is happening on Michigan Avenue!!!! How come you you don't report these stories??? My fondest wish is that one of the media gets to encounter first hand and very personally the coordinated efforts of these teens. Maybe then something will be done how out-of-control this is going to get and at times, already is.
Your media types, get on the ball here. Your safety and that of your family and friends who visit this stupid street may one day be a sad victim of what you let get out of control.

How ironic this happened tonight. As I watched Dateline talk about the gang juvenile violence in Chicago black neighborhoods, I wondered who was going to tell the truth that the epidemic is occurring in every neighborhood of Chicago.
Plus Weis did not answer the questions that were asked of him. He skirted the issue as always and he complimented daley.
Plus former gangbanger "shotgun" on the west side who is teaching boxing to the kids and getting jobs for all who turn in a gun. I liked how the cameras filmed him stopping a fight and challenged a kid with a gun. When cpd just happened to pull up to disperse the crowd, "shotgun" wearing his security shirt didn't give up the kid with a gun to the police, he just told police "this is in house we're handling this on our own."
That spoke volumes. Yeah this community shit is working real well. Give Ceasefire the money again.

All I can say is make sure YOU (a PO) is always armed, no matter where you are. If need be, two to the torso, one to the head always works, even with a 9mm.
If you still carry a 5 shot .38, spend some of that retro money and buy a Glock 26 or the similar S&W M&P 9c and be able to protect yourself or at least go down fighting. Both pistols are the same size as a 5 shot and have almost 3X the capacity.
The Police dept is only a couple thousand officers short everyday with only 125 recruits starting in Sept. The Detective division in several hundred short and there hasnt been a class in THREE years. Making the bare min. of supervisors. Why did the city just pull the application process for new recruits a week before it was supposed to go out?

He stood up on the counter, he didn't hurt anyone, but he stood up on the checkout counter, this was on days. He was all sweaty. It took no less than 7 cops to get him under control. We had to have him brought out on the stretcher thing that the wagons have. NOT ONE COP LAID A HAND ON THIS GUY, NOT ONE. We took him out and we were all laughing a bit. ANd there it was, a line of young female blacks standing outside the store, I guess waiting to come in and what were the first words out of their mouths? "Why they treating him like an animal?"

Maybe Ben Joravsky at The Reader can pick this story up since the rest of the media here are studiously ignoring it. Sure would love to see interviews with tourists, especially from overseas. I'll settle for cheeseheads and suburbanites though.

I was downtown on Friday night as well and must confirm these little "gangstas" were walking around the North Michigan Ave. area.
I felt a little uneasy (as well as unarmed). Next time someone invites me to a downtown affair, I will say "No thanks".
It will be a LONG time before I come back downtown again. Besides - paying $30 to pay for parking and 10.5% tax at the 95th (Handcock Center restaurant) is a joke.
Night life? We'll look to the suburbs or Wisconsin. It's not worth going to North Michigan Ave.

Given the law in Illinois, the best you can do would be to have every family member carrying the highest potency of OC spray that money can buy. Bodyguard LE10, Fox 5.3 comes to mind. Some have advocated insect sprays as being effective and giving good stand off range.
Thats why I done go east of Harlem Avenue with my family. I almost shot one of these animals in fron of them. Coming to a neighborhood near you. Get Ready!
Downtown shitcago is for two very different groups of 'people'. One group is the moron tourists that spend money here and the other is the at least 8th generation of govt supported, free living, free housing, free feeding, boundless breeding animals that the dummycrats and liberals have allowed to leech our society. I have no plans on going downtown but if I do and some 'wilding' folks f#(k with me, the air quality will improve before its done.

Simple, get out of Shitcago and go to a concealed carry state or get some civilian use pepper spray or take some MMA classes that should help.

This one will. I am generally armed with something when I am out-n-about. Especially if I am with my wife. Alone I have no problem with making tracks to stay safe. But I can outrun her, so when we are together that is not an option, so I become a bit hypervigilant. She finds it cute....
I have no gun, so if I come up against a gun I am screwed. But unless I carried it in my hand, I'd probably never get a chance to pull it anyway.
BTW, the "most/all you liberals" stuff is as inaccurate as "all you cops" would be if I held the completely unjustified moving violation ticket I once got from a very verbally abusive PO (not in this state) against every officer in the world. All of my other interactions with cops have been friendly, so I assume the best.

It's another sublime morning in Edison Park. I'm drinking coffee and paging through the latest Orvis catalog as I watch two house finches flitting around the branches of the river birch in my rear yard. 1 Buy a handgun,.38cal or larger.
2 Learn how to shoot it.

I love the cultural activities in Chicago, but I come into the city less and less. Bad parking, high taxes , the threat of a car jacking or robbery or assault and a years or so ago, I heavily damaged my car from a hugh pothole and the city told me "tough luck".

I saw that too and I cringed when the beat car stopped right next to the crowd of sh**heads and the coppers remained in the car to talk to "Shotgun" and his companions. The coppers were like "Fish in a Barrel."

Mayor Daley has lost control of his glossy, high-rent, big-spending core area. Hell, merchants in Brazil used to hire off-duty police as "death squads" who'd simply make the purse-snatchers and glue-sniffers disappear. Bad for business.

I just visited downtown LaGrange Park. Street full of nice restuarants, shops, bars, coffee shops. Pleanty of free parking and no punks. Just families and couples. I love the suburbs. I ight have to live in the city but every other part of my life is in the suburbs.

One or two people yes, a group, no. After reading these stories, you have a reasonable expectation of severe bodily harm if attacked/beset upon by a roving group of m1's. With that in mind, you feared for your life as you unloaded into whoever comes within reach, attempting to severly harm you, keep loved ones securely behind you. As you slowly retreat. I was downtown Friday on Michigan Ave. I could not believe the groups of male/blacks walking around in groups of four or five talking about where and when they are going to start the fun on the "stupid ass crackers" walking around.
They were all on their phones coordinating there plans.
I will hand it to these fuck wad thugs, at least they know how to communicate their plan of action on those "crackers", because the Chicago Police Department sure does not know how to coordinate a plan to put a stop to this bullshit.

That's what they really need. WE used to have female decoys in the tubes and would catch purse snatchers all the time....this of course was in the 80's and that's when the police were allowed to be police. Despite all the police stuff, it was dangerous, esp. for the female decoy.

They asked all the sergeants city wide to identify a crime problem in their sectors. They also asked for strategies to defeat these problems. All the sergeants in 018 identified this as the problem in the 30 sector. Their to-froms were sent downtown. Why did they ask their opinion if they weren't going to act on it?
