Anything related to Jesse Sr. should be a suspect for indictment. The thought of Jess Sr. being anywhere near the budget of a governmental agency should make anyone with a brain nervous. Look at how long Gingrich is around; he dumped his first wife while she was hospitalized for the second; the second caught him cheating with the woman who is NOW the third Mrs. Newt; no one expects too much from their elected reps today. As long as JJJ can stay out of a courtroom or a grand jury inquiry before his seat is up for re-election next year, he'll do ok. He just won't be mayor. I was never crazy about Mayor Washington, but as time has gone on, he looks better with each passing year. He had some issues, but he was well spoken, witty, seemed like he enjoyed life, enjoyed his job and managed the cities finances. You can't ask for much more than that in a public official.

Since somebody mentioned Harold Washington, I have a quick personal story. Met him in Miami when the Bears lost to Miami back in 1985, the SuperBowl season. He was personable and very friendly, especially after he heard we were from Chicago. Still have the photos he took with us. Very nice man.
Now's the time for the tea party to rise to the occasion and put in a viable candidate....the doze dems are sinking fast.
