Another Mayoral Entry?
NBC 5's Carol Marin and Sun-Times columnist Michael Sneed hear rumbles Attorney General Lisa Madigan is eyeing a bid to run for mayor of Chicago.
Both Sneed and Marin hear the popular statewide vote getter may be waiting until after the Nov. 2 election to announce her entry into the mayoral fray. Filing deadline for the mayoral battle is Nov. 22. Madigan will only publicly state “it is my intention to run for Attorney General”..but refuses to state a simple “Yes” or “No” to the mayoral bid.
So the big question is - is she being set up to pull votes from someone? Rahm? Fioretti? Or does Daddy think she can win the whole thing?

Big rumor here in Garfield Ridge is Mike Madigan is looking at houses and will move into the neighborhood. He will work a deal to get little Zalewski a nice highly paid city or county job and take over the State Rep seat since Garfield Ridge is not in his current fiefdom
I know her father is a prick but would she be all that bad as a mayor? I would rather have her than any one of the shit heads running know. This coming from a conservative.

My friend, please reconsider trying to get this done on the cheap.
While I will not bash anyone, I will tell you this, I had my eyes done 12 years ago by Dr. Kraft at the Kraff Eye Institute (http://kraffeye.com/) and back then it was almost $3500 an eye.
Money VERY WELL spent - I have been 20-15 and 20-10 vision in my eyes for over 12 years now with no setbacks.
My wife, well against my wishes, she went to one of those "cheaper" doctors and had the procedure done. Well, her eyes were good for only a year or year and a half. She had to revert to her contacts.
So, reconsider. It is a great procedure, if done correctly, and it is something that you DO NOT want to cut corners on.
Pay the money - it is worth it.

OT - Had Kraff Eye Institute do the surgery in January 2008. Financed $4,000 with Kraff for two years with an interest free loan. Set up the 2008 FSA to cover the cost in November 2007. FSA paid me $4,000 in February 2008 to cover the cost that I would paid over two years.
The net effect was tax savings and cash up front. Should have done the surgery earlier because I now see great without glasses and contacts.

Captains will be paid to perform the work of Lieutenant/Inspector ?
What odd ball captains would want the job , it was hard to recruit Lieutenants for that position.
If anything a Sergeant should be assigned as an inspector.
I could understand having Captains replace commanders in Districts , Mass Transit , Traffic and Management Labor Affairs Section to save money .

So far Lisa Madigan has been silent in her position as AG, not much goes on there in comparison to Darts office. We can question her ethics but remember she so far hasn't pulled a Miriam Santos, whom we thought would be a good choice. I would vote for her, not Pops, who is being endorsed by FOP, what has he done for us lately, look at our pension fiasco.. And FOP also endorses Berrios- what a hack. What's his qualifications? Servant to Madigan?
I'd trust her before any of the current chooches.

I'll second that. I had mine done 10 years ago by Dr. Colman Kraff at the downtown office. It's a family practice, and they're first rate. After healing, my vision was 20/20 on both eyes. I've had NO problems, and their follow-up care has been as thorough and professional as their pre-op evaluation and surgery.
Several other people I know had their LASIK procedures done at Kraff and have had similar results - 20/20 or very close to it, and good long-term results.
Is it really worth risking your eyesight to save a few bucks?

Peoples gas a private company- screwed us out of money yet she (Lisa) made a deal to give a refund of one hundred dollars per gas bill. I live in a condo that has 120 units, our gas bill is in the thousands per month, put she agreed to give a one time refund for the 100 dollars per bill. The gas private company still made a killing. we had a good laugh with this one.
I think FOP gave the endorsement to Mike Madigan as well. They will blame us on that but why in the hell do they back people that fuck us or dont do what they promise.. To Hell with Lisa just because she is spawn of the machine
