Shots Fired in 016
Info trickling in. Officers fine, one subject taken to hospital. Unsure if he was shot or injured during a chase. In the area of Bernice and Melvina for you north side readers. Updates as possible.

happy to hear the Officers are not injured. Stay safe out there guys and girls. SCC you are the best at keeping us informed. Everyone involved keep up the good work.
I heard leg injury over the scanner as I was listening to the chase. Hope the officer gets well soon.
1630 had the balls to allow the pursuit to continue which was initiated by 1633--- we need more sgts like 1630 and more heads up coppers like the guys who were working 1633 last night...

I wouldn't wanna be the Sgt. who calls off a pursuit for a guy that tried to MURDER two police officers prior to this chase.
great job to all the guys and gals from 016,017,025,019 and all other city-wide cars who responded!

This started in 023, stopped in 017, and ended in 016 (see comments on the entry about the Sacramento/Addison accident)? Fightin' 016 taking care of business! Good job and thanks for your hard work.
016 citizen
This all started in 023. 2304 were nearly hit by a red audi who fled toward Lake Shore Drive. Squads gave chase, and the red audi hit 2322 and fled the wrong way on LSD. The chase was terminated by 2399. The license plate was called in and the dispatcher sent a support request to 016 where the car was registered. 016 tact went to the 6200 block of Berniece to wait for the red audi. I'm not sure what happened in 016 but I heard that shots came from the audi. 016 returned fire, and the audi tried to run over the police. 2 in custody and a gun. Good job officers!!!

I have noticed too many Spanish gangs in the area of Irving Park and Central, Irving Park and Austin and of course if you go east on Irving Park from 4000 West Irving Park.
We need to get a grip on this violence before it reaches Edison Park, Norwood Park, Sauganash, etc....
I am always surprised at the comments about shitheads in 016. Shitheads are everywhere. They are in 016, they are in Highland Park. Some kids from "good" families turn into shitheads.
The difference is that in nicer areas people don't wink at them. They call the police, they talk to parents BEFORE shit goes down, etc.
My neighbor has a kid who is a shithead. He and his boys don't hang out here anymore because the neighbors all made it too hard to act like shitheads here.

You a ignorant, you need to stop the gangs now because it's not just the people who were stupied and paid $400,000 for a box in Edison Park that deserve to be safe. I happen to live right by the shots fired and there are plenty of hard working decent people that live here that deserve a safe neighborhood. Not just the police officer that over paid on his house, just to say he lives in Edison Park. You might think your better then the average citizen, but your probably 200,000 upside down on your mortgage.

2399 didn't have the balls to allow the pursuit to continue for the attempt murder of two officers of his command---- he is either a lt or capt---- beat 1630 is a lowly sgt who had the stones to allow the pursuit to commence--- so does that mean that nobody will work for this boss in 023 when he is the w/c because he is a shaky fuck ?????

I apologize sincerely. I didn't mean it to come out that way. We need to make sure all of Chicago is safe for the decent citizens. I work in the ghetto and even in very poor/dangerous neighborhoods there are lots of decent people.
We need to work together as a community to fuck with the gang bangers, the criminals, the dope dealers, etc....
You never know which jagoff has a gun in the car, and is willing to use it to avoid capture. Im glad all the Police survived and shithead goes to the can for a stale baloney sandwich with a cup of warm water. This sends a message to shitheads everywhere: Mess with the Po-leece and you just might get run down and caught while dodging bullets.
