Hopefully he be 'day-ed'. Just one less shithead to deal with.
In the busy districts, it seems like it's almost--show up to work, be involved, or have a shooting happen, on your tour. Be careful out there.
Thats all they do is shoot over there. The area is one big outdoor gun range. Pure hell on hot summer nights.
Some of those boys in 010 are Iraq was vets. Shitheads beware! These warriors are not apprehensive about making blood run in the streets. ( and they are not afraid of a confrontation )
They never learn.
Bad guy's weapon (revolver) recovered at the scene.
His worst injury was probably from diving chin first into the sidewalk. Treated and released by the time this posts.
Thank God no coppers hurt.
Shortage of cops? Hardly. You'll see lots of those Mobile strike forces guys racing about on the street.
God bless us all!

What happened at that fight at the bowling alley in Homewood? I know this part won’t be talked about in the media, but did all the fighters- who were black -begin to beat on all the responding officers who were white? It sure seemed so from the grainy video from the parking lot. Channel 7 did an extreme close up of one officer showing a bite on his nose, he was white, but none of the other officers who were injured are talking to the media. I’m just wondering if the media has decided we shouldn’t know the racial part of this story.
OT: yesterday in 018, the roving mob was out again,...an officer came on the air and asked the Sgt. if he could just lock them all up for mob action,....the response....just observe them for now, and let them know we are here.....so the tact teams just "were around the area"....THIS IS WHY THEY DO WHAT THEY DO.....no more old school bosses that would just say..."LOCK THEIR ASSES UP"....how come this doesnt happen in the faster districts?....cause they know that they will be LOCKED UP....
The number of incidents where the police have had to shoot or be shot has risen dramatically in the last 2 years. It is rare that a week goes by now without a police shooting. And, it is certainly not because the police have too much freedom to use deadly force. As we all know, the rules of engagement are more restrictive than they have ever been. What change has occurred to explain this increase in police using their weapons to defend themselves? It is the change in society over the last fifty years which has rid certain elements of society of any self control, dicipline or accountability resulting in no self respect, respect for others or respect for the rule of law and those whose duty it is to enforce the laws. The criminal justice system is a joke. Evidence abounds of the impotence of the system: The bum who was arrested the other day at O'Hare who had 250 prior arrests, the murderer who killed Off. Valadez who was out on a bond despite having 2 other pending UUW charges , the punk who murdered Off. Flisk was on parole and electronic monitoring for a forcible felony.
The thin blue line is trying to hold back the uncivilized from attacking the law abiding. The line is getting thinner all the time due to hiring freezes and the population of savages is increasing due to the progressive liberal education policies and lack of accountability permitted by the courts. One day the thin blue line will break and there will be anarchy and people in the streets taking the law into their own hands. When, not if, it happens, it will not be the fault of the men and women in blue. It will be the fault of the elected leaders and educators who have pandered to those who do not conform their behavior to the law just to get their votes. It will be the fault of the judges who do not have the backbones to impose consequences on those who break the law. And, it will be the fault of everyone of us who have returned the same old style politicians to public office election cycle after election cycle.
God bless those in the thin blue line and God help us all.

Remember we go home to our families. Use enough force to eliminate the threat. Glad no p.o.'s were not hurt , that is the important thing. Everyone back each other up and hopefully we can get a mayor that will support us And a superintendent that will back us up.

Be safe go home to your family nothing else matters.
Good thing some of these shootings have occurred in the cold.....wait til summer, shit will fly and we won't have a department to control the situation.
SCC, not sure if the following was posted recently:
http://www.justnews.com/video/26601377/index.html
Don't see Shortshanks or J Fled or Masters (Master, Masters) showing this kind of emotion. Of course, one might give J Fled a pass, considering he's never done the job. Maybe Masters (Masters, Masters) learned about the job in his mail-in training?
It's been far too long since anyone gave this kind of speech on behalf of a CPD officer, duty death, commendation ceremony, or otherwise. While a compliment to Ofc Flisk's daughter for her great eulogy, where are the LEADERS of the dept when it comes to showing such emotion and leadership to the CPD?
Remember how all of the Area Saturation teams wer recently disbanded, under the premise that manpower would be put back into the districts?
Well, here we go again....
It seems that A2 has decided that they cannot do without a team under their control. They have decided that each district in Area 2 needs to gvie up between 4-8 P.O.'s to be part of their new "64" Tact team. These officers will report to the district they work out of, pick up radios and cars, then report to Area 2 for assignment. They allegedly will keep two of the officers in Area 2 at a designated Hot Spot, while the rest will be sent back into their district to work on district problems. The only problem is these officers being sent back to their districts for the rest of the tour can be pulled in response to any urgent matter.
How many days have you seen Area 2 NOT have a shooting? There's your urgent matter, and less people in the district where they normally work. Of course, think through the scenario, and see where the potential exists for grievances on this, never mind the ever incresingly dangerously low manpower levels in district law enforcement.
Oh, and they are NOT being called Saturation teams, because we disbanded those...they are the new district tact teams (ie 364, 464, 564, 664, and 2264).
ALOTTA RED SNOW BUT THE BAD GUY ALIVE. No serious gsw's on the bad guy. The Officers are all ok. Narcotics surviellance is a dangerous game. Hey CW why did you tou guys think it was wise to go to arbitration on police shootings? Why did we turn down a 24 hour cooling off period and are going to let an arbitrator decide it??
Apparently you guys feel confident in arbitration, hey RICHIE how many times have we been fucked by the arbitrator?? Hell 24 hours would have been a good starting point.

Judicialwatch.org has named Rahm Emanuel the second most corrupt politician in Washington. Also on the list at number four is Jesse Jackass Jr.
And this is the guy some want to see as the Mayor here. Will the corruption here ever end?
Hey mr. "no more bosses with balls": does that mean the sgt had the coppers balls locked up in his trunk. Maybe the officer could have dusted off his own set of balls and locked them the fuck up like a real copper instead of trying to look for special dispensation first. This attitude is what's wrong with the department! You are given a car, a gun and arrest powers and you've got to ask permission to make an arrest. I can picture the testmony now: but officer why did you arrest my clients? " because my sgt. said to". So you observed no crime occur?
Get the point yet?
We all have the power to arrest, if you observe a crime being committed, do something about it! You don't have to ask for permission. And if they haven't done anything or you think they are suspicious, nothing says you can't do a field interview/ contact card. At least then we know who the hell they are then.

OT: From Judicial Watch
Rahm Emanuel, Former Obama White House Chief of Staff didn’t earn the nickname “Rahmbo” for being a mild-mannered shrinking violet. He served as Bill Clinton’s chief money-man at a time when the Clinton campaign was corrupted by foreign money. He defended the “worst of the worst” Clinton scandals, and, in fact, earned his reputation as a ruthless political combatant by fiercely defending President Clinton in the Monica Lewinsky investigation. (Notably, Emanuel also served on the board of Freddie Mac when the company was involved in fraudulent activity.)
The bottom line is that when the Clintons’ dirty work needed to be done, Emanuel did it and apparently without question. That didn’t change under Obama. Remember when the Obama White House wanted to manipulate Democratic primaries in 2010?
Emanuel teamed with his then-Deputy Chief of Staff Jim Messina to allegedly interfere with Senate elections in Pennsylvania and Colorado by offering federal appointments to Rep. Joe Sestak and Andrew Romanoff. Sestak and Romanoff were not Obama’s favored candidates, so Emanuel and Messina apparently attempted to unlawfully persuade them to abandon their campaigns.
A Judicial Watch complaint to the U.S. Office of Special Counsel on June 15, 2010, tells the story: “As widely reported in the media, White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and Deputy Chief of Staff Jim Messina, on behalf of the Obama Administration, have both used their position and influence as highly placed federal employees to affect the outcome of federal elections in direct violation of the Hatch Act, which states that an employee may not ‘use his official authority or influence for the purpose of interfering with or affecting the result of an election.’”
And then, of course, there’s Emanuel’s participation in the Blagojevich scandal.
According to sworn testimony during the “Blago” trial, Emanuel served as Obama’s chief negotiator with the Blagojevich team as the former Illinois Governor attempted to illegally sell Obama’s former Senate seat to the highest bidder. Unfortunately, the federal prosecutor cut short the case against Blagojevich and Emanuel and other Obama insiders were never called to testify.
Emanuel left the White House under an ethical cloud and has decided to throw his hat in the ring for Mayor of Chicago, where he again stands accused of ignoring the rules and violating the law regarding candidate residency requirements.
Thank God all the good guys went home safe.
But we need practice-practice-practice...

Mostly very good, but it isn't liberal education that is causing it; it would be much closer to the truth to say that NO education is causing it. It isn't the education policies; it's the complete disregard for education. If the kid and the family don't want it, it doesn't happen, now matter what the education policy.

But if he makes his own decision, then he has to answer for it. It's easier to put the sergeant in the middle than act like a grown up police officer. Not so strange nowadays ... unfortunately.

Then I read in the comments where someone said he was the head of the Union which would make more sense because it would surprise me that a big boss would have the balls to say this. Either way good for him but does anyone know who he really is?

This is the exact type of person who tries to stay off the street, but can't find an inside do-nothing spot. Wants all the benefits of being the police without any of the police-work. I have NEVER asked a sergeant's permission to make an arrest. Furthermore, I have never, ever heard somebody come up on the air and ask permission from a sergeant to make an arrest.

We need to get someone to do like what happened to this one (fill in the blank) do nothing but write tickets cop in 018 years ago. He wrote up a elderly driver for having a knob on his steering wheel. It seems that the driver had lost most of his fingers in WWII to a German grenade. The knob was how he was grasp the steering wheel with only a thumb and two fingers. When it came to court, he held up his mangled hands and the judge demanded the officer apologize for writing this senior citizen/veteran for this violation. After that this officer was pissed off and was still a do nothing but didn't write anymore tickets.

i would, but the payoff for a gold star is beyond my current budgetary restraints.
Why didn't the super coppers in MSF handle the paper. Are they too good to write a freakin case report. You assholes are useless. Do your own damn paper from now on.
To the copper crying about handling the paper for the police shooting. Maybe you forgot we are the police and we're supposed to be on the same side. Stop crying and man up.
Bitching about writing the paper to a police shooting...are you kidding...how much work's involved. Now a days your narrative consists of see Detective Supp. Unbelievable, stop your whining. I remember the days when guys would look forward to writing paper to a police shooting, it meant plenty of court time.
It also used to be that a supervisor would assign the paper to the most competent experienced beat car working. It was actually complimentary if the task was assigned to you. But, those were the old days.
