Lura Lynn Ryan has returned home from the hospital and appears to be doing well around a month after she was at death's door and managed to get some face time with the imprisoned ex-governor. Thompson wouldn't have lied to everyone, would he?

Actually the doctor gave her 6 months to live before he realized the Ryan's were past due on their bills. Doc is now giving her 6 additional months to live, hoping that will be enough time for the bill to get paid.
I want to know if Dean Bauer is dead yet.
He' was Ryan's Inspector General of cover-ups who scotched the investigation of licenses for bribes.
He served no time because he was supposedly soooo sick.
I've never seen any reporting of his passing.

Know what? F*** them. When LLR was released from the hospital to home, a spokesperson (can't remember if family or hospital) specifically said she was NOT under hospice care.
Good think hubby got that "deathbed" visit. They wouldn't give it to him at home.

I know people who hang on for years with cancer after being on their deathbed and saying goodbye.
George Ryan will have a special place down below when it is his time.

I gotta say, everytime you read his bio, you see how he made his name "fighting corruption" in a bipartisan way, bullshit, he took down his enemies, never touched alot of other assholes, hurt alot of little guys, but for Ryan, he goes all the way, Thompson is a disgrace, and so is Webb, who I always thoguth looked like a rat, literally, buck toothed little weasel.
It's now being reported that George is very, very sick and only has days to live.

It was amazing. She was admitted into the hospital in grave condition and wasn't expected to live past the weekend. Of course, that weekend was over a month ago. Kind of reminds me of the Lockerbee bomber that was gravely ill and was supposed to die but was dancing in the streets after he was released back to Libya.

When George Ryan was first indited, Mayor Daley said, George Ryan is my friend, he may have made a mistake, but everyone makes mistakes. He is still my friend.

My brother had the same exact diagnosis as Lura Lynn Ryan. My brother was with his creator the next day. When the doctor told us he was in grave condition and he had the same cancer status and an infection of the bloodstream, (sepsis) that was it.
The next morning we said good bye to our family member. No miracle recoveries from that.
As we (PO's) all believed from the start, that diagnosis was like everything else associated with George Ryan and Jim Thompson, total self serving bullshit.
I will put George Ryan and Jim Thompson on my list of corrupt lying politicians whose graves will be watered by me pissing on them.

Thompson is apiece of crap, they thought that because he is with a big time law firm and he is a former Govenor that the courts would rattle and release old Georgie Boy, I say let him do his time, and yes his wife may be sick, but cameras and pictures and bullshit doctors made her look real bad and near death.
