Alvarez - Investigate the Police

  • Cook County State’s Attorney Anita Alvarez asked the Illinois State Police on Thursday to investigate the Chicago Police Department’s handling of a homicide case involving Richard J. “R.J.” Vanecko, who’s a nephew of Mayor Daley and White House Chief of Staff William Daley.

“I think there should be an independent police investigation,” Alvarez said.

She pointed to a series of stories in the Chicago Sun-Times this month that raised questions about the police investigation into the violent death of David Koschman seven years ago.

So Anita is recommending the Illinois State Police investigate? Whose name did we just see being floated by Sneed as the next head of the ISP? Oh yeah, former CPD exempt Hiram Grau. That's going to go over like a ton of bricks.

And aren't there large portions of the file missing from Anita's office already? Files when Devine was in charge? Devine, who was Daley's right hand when Shortshanks was State's Attorney?

And no one over at Devine's office thought to go for a manslaughter indictment? A Grand Jury would have eaten that one up.

Yeah, nothing to see here folks.

I have asked in the past for Second City Cop to call for a RECALL OF COOK COUNTY STATES ATTORNEY ANITA ALVAREZ!!!!!!!!

SHE IS LYING!!!!!!! She always Picks and Chooses who she prosecutes or HOLD GRAND JURIES FOR.

She holds Grand Juries for ANY assumed police misconduct TO prosecute police officers ALL THE TIME!!!

She does this WITHOUT HALF THE EVIDENCE SHE HAS WITH THE INFORMATION SHE FRECEIVED ON MAYOR DALEY'S NEPHEW.

Now she is acting like the POLICE didnt give her the correct information.??????

SHE IS LYING AND GRANDSTANDING!!!

As she received this new so-called information from witnesses in the last week; THIS ALONE IS ENOUGH TO CONVENE A GRAND JURY.

We must ban together and STOP ANITA NOW!!!!!

ANITA IS A FAKE, FRAUD AND LIAR!!!
AND A DALEY SUPPORTER. SHE IS SCARED THAT SHE WOULD NOT RECIEVE THAT SPECIAL APPOINTMENT FROM THE WHITE HOUSE NOW................

ANITA, JACK BLAKEY - AND ALL HER FRAUDULENT PROSECUTORS MUST GO PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!

Hate to say it, but isn't this one case where you'd want the Feds to investigate? If Devine's people lost a file at his/Daley's behest, finding that out might put Shortshanks on the witness stand, under oath. And if we all think--know--he cannot talk sense when the cameras are rolling, imagine the gibberish that will spew when the Feds have him sitting there, sizing him up for an orange jumpsuit to match George Ryan's.

If street cops or detectives were pressured by exempts to put this heater case down, and they did so, they would be screwed. But so would all the higher-ups they might testify against.

An ugly situation in any case, but better the Feds than the State cops.

I am not a Public Defender, I am a cop. The ISP on ground level and individually are great people. But, through Quinn and the Daley C.F. they are owned.

It is a roll of the dice; she gets her moment doing this. If she doesn’t get the results she wants she can roll again and call in the Feds who can prosecute for lying to them.

The Feds through Obama, Durban and Rahm are also owned by the Daley Crime Family. Why have they not prosecuted Richard M. and Patrick?

In the end the Feds could throw the cops under the bus and leave everyone in the Daley C.F. alone.

Alvarez is merely trying to deflect the heat from her office.

More diversion, smoke and mirrors.

3/25/2011 07:40:00 AM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

Typical.
The heat is brought up here on the SCC site, the Slum Times runs with it, Alvarez blames the police.
1) Where's the (States Attorney) file? Lost? Bwahahaha!
2) Where's the Grand Jury investigation that would also focus on the States Attorneys Office.

Everybody (Daley speak: evybudy) knows that the States Attorney approves (OR DENIES) the (Felony)charges...NOT THE POLICE.
The Felony Revue Unit interviews witnesses, requests additional investigation, evidence, photos etc. ad nauseum prior to approving or rejecting felony approval.
The Police only gather and present this info/evidence to Felony Revue for THEIR approval/rejection. (Their policy, not ours)
And we all know that that office is also politically connected and controlled.
So bring in a Grand Jury. Investigate the States Attorney as well. Find that 'lost' file.
Will we see closure?
Me thinks, NOT.
Defer the heat, just blame the police.
Typical.

If Vanecko was Joe Q. Citizen, he would have already been indicted, tried and sentenced. Any number of charges would have worked. As much as RJ is hated, murder would not have worked without intent. but manslaughter, or "agg batt on the public way" would easily have met the legal threshold for a guilty. but it's silly to keep dreaming that he'll be charged someday. different rules for different people. in that regard, Daley is more british than irish.

Charge Abbate (still and always a d-bag) with Agg. Battery when there was no serious injury but when Vanecko kills someone the case isn't even CI'd by ASA. There are plenty of cases in which the offender in a single punch case has been charged when there was serious injury or death.

I still wonder if the Pension Fund money R.J. stole wasn't spread around as hush money.

From what I understand Live Line-Ups were held, two seperate viewers POSITIVELY identified a filler as the offender. That alone destroys the case right there. STRIKE ONE!

Also, Vanechko arrived with his attorney and refused to speak with Detectives. As suspicious as it is, he has the constitutional right to do so. No confession obtained. STRIKE TWO!

As much as I, or any other member of this department would enjoy putting a criminal member of the Daley family behind bars, this case is a pile of shit that was presented to an ASA who refused to approve charges. They could have C.I'D at any time to put it back in CPD'S court. STRIKE THREE!

Sorry folks.... R/D is requesting this investigation be classified as EX-CLEAR CLOSED, OTHER

It is not a federal offense so don't count on the FBI to intervene. However, how about one of the Major Crime Task Force that exist in the surburban areas? Lots of good investigators? I just do not believe that the CPD detectives buckled under any presuure to bury this case. If anything, it came from the incomplete investigation done by them or by an incompetant investigator who failed to document the interviews properly. In something as important as a murder investigation, why did CPD not take written statements from the witnesses?? I just do not see the reasoning for this. Now the witnesses are claiming that what is in the detectives reports is not what they said? Who is telling the truth?? Why are parts of the file now missing? Every homicide case should be digitized by the CPD and the file should have an index. There are some very poor investigative practices going on.

Rahm Emanuel considers cutting City Council seats in half
Mar 25, 2011 09:25AM

Mayor-elect Rahm Emanuel has broached a touchy subject during private meetings with aldermen to solicit their ideas on budget and ethics reform: cutting the nation’s second-largest City Council in half. Several aldermen, who asked to remain anonymous, said they were stunned when Emanuel opened the discussion by asking them point-blank, “What do you think about going down to 25 aldermen?”

FUCKING BULLSHIT!!

This broad is trying to protect her political ass by investigating the police?!

Only in Chicago and Cook County.

Someone needs to inform the Public that nothing gets charged without the State's Attorney's Office.

"Our Office wasn't consulted" is FUCKING BULLSHIT. The public needs to know. Darren "'I never met a case that I couldn't C/I or reject" O' Brien never let a case pass through Felony Review without him being all over it. Alvarez can say that they weren't consulted because O'Brien most likely jagged around the dicks and didn't even start a file. Let the public know.

Alvarez wants to look into the conduct of the police? Who lost the fucking file?!? A homicide investigation is always open. Let the public know.

And tell jags like Flint Taylor that African Americans, too, are identified and never charged in homicides.

That's what passes for criminal justice in Cook County.

The public needs to know.

That leaves the County Sheriff and the State Police to investigate. Notice that she did not call on the Sheriff. I personaly would like to see just where this goes.

The offenders also shot at the police and but the officers were on point and got em in custody quick with a recovery. Too bad the offenders are still breathing though. I hope they get the jail time they deserve....which they probably won't after all of that hard work. The dispatcher that was handling this incident did a great job too. She didn't miss a beat. I guess the irish cabal gets away not only with the robbery of the public coffers, but now murder. If his name was a calabrese, sánchez, blagojavich, or tomzcak, fitzgerald would have been all over this case. O' bama should be tried/impeached if he's been involved in stifling any investigation of his COS kin. Anita, you need to investigate your own office. But you won't do that because your puppet masters won't let you.

And now that Obama has a Daley for a chief of staff, the feds have Chicago puppet masters too.

Nothing will be done. Nothing.

Hey FBI. How does it feel to be treated like the locals you detest? Heh, heh, heh. Run along now. Your master is calling. And he's calling in bad Bridgeport English.

Chicago to Issue $1 Billion in Bonds for O'Hare Airport Expansion

Rachel Krech – Thu Mar 24, 9:13 pm ET

"The O'Hare International Airport expansion project is taking another step further, according to the Sun-Times.

"Mayor Richard M. Daley plans to issue about $1 billion in bonds that would prompt and support the construction of a brand new runway in addition to several other projects at the airport. These would include the building of a new air traffic control tower, the relocation of Irving Park Road, several facility buildings, and even the finishing of another runway that involves relocating those buried at a tiny cemetery where the runway will be.

"The bonds will be issued the week of April 18 and although they were approved by the City Council this past fall, a lawsuit filed by American and United Airlines put the bond issuing on hold. The airlines dropped the lawsuit in light of the recent developments in the expansion project deadlock..."

"We screwed up, folks. We screwed up, plain and simple, and now we're paying for it," Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey said yesterday morning at a news conference at police headquarters.

Once again, the scandal plagued Philly P.D. is making headlines under its leader Charles Ramsey, and yet he is expected to waltz into Chicago and make things right?

Where is the media on this? Phil Cline had to leave for way less than what has happened on Ramsey's

Koschman's mother was on the radio just now, saying "she knew R.J. Vanecko didn't mean to kill her son."

With all due respect, she knows no such thing. She's just civilized to a fault.

That's hardly the worst thing you can say about someone, but it is a weakness in some situations. This is one of them.

Do not ever think that there is a similar moment of concern for anyone but themselves in the Vanecko and Daley households. There most assuredly is not.

How did the Mayor's own son pick up a nickname like "Batters?" Think a minute.

God bless you, Mrs. Koschman. You're just too decent. The Daleys and Vaneckos are not fit to take out your garbage.

Now let the authorities do their job and dig out the truth and punish the guilty.

Sorry it would have been ruled mutal combatants and no charges filed. Just as one on one homicides

OT Rahm wants to reduce number of aldercreatures , CPD , CFD and all city employees let's get behind him on this one . Lets also reduce number of police districts to 23
less bosses and housecats , more officers for patrol and money for pay increase next contract
reduce alderman to 20 , that's more than New York city and Los Angelos . CPD more officers hired , means less money in budget for pay raises . Most of us have been working harder , now time for us to demand all the housecats are put back in a beat car

There would be no free up of officers for patrol by closing districts, those areas still need to be patrolled, so officers would be absorbed by surrounding districts and sent right back to the same area anyway; all the bosses would be sent to surrounding districts as well, no savings etc. sorry very flawed logic..

*******BREAKING NEWS*********

Anita Alvarez has been intentionally keeping the Vanecko investigation out of the hands of the grand room at 26th & Cal not because of Daley influence or Devine influence.

The Vanecko investigation has been kept out of the grand jury room because a longtime ASA in the grand jury room is very good friends with Vanecko family. Grand jury ASA has been pressing to stay out of matter.

Sun-Times has this information but is not reporting, just yet.

The U.S. Attorney must impanel a grand jury in this matter immediately for obstruction of justice at State's Attorney's Office involving Devine, Alvarez and others.

Police 'outmanned' by growing gang population

Friday, February 25, 2011

"In this Intelligence Report: "Outmanned." Street gang membership in Chicago and the suburbs is at least twice as big as city and outlying police departments.

"It's due in part to a surge in the Chicago region's gang population related to Mexican cartels taking hold of illegal drug sales.

"There are more gangbangers in metro Chicago than there are residents in Orland Park and Glenview combined, at least 100,000 gang members, according to the latest intelligence from a top federal enforcement agency in Chicago.

"The growing gang population is a problem for outmanned police and an employment resource for the Mexican drug cartels.

"Chicago and suburban police say between 75 and 100 street gangs operate criminal rackets."

But to be serious, I understand how things work, I've even sat in at court in A/3 ct branch and witnessed bar fights get ruled by a judge to "not guilty". So a drunken street fight turns bad, for one of the parties died 12 days later. The case lies on who threw the punch. Remember for an arrest a particular person committed a particular crime. We have parties Id on scene, witness statements, but no evidence, and a bad line up. Even so, they had enough to charge them in 04 with mob action. Now the only charge is second degree murder at best.

Maybe Captain Carl Dobrich of the ISP could investigate
Venecko on behalf of the Cook County States Attorney.
Hmm-Daley was States Attorney. Vanecko is his nephew. Daley slated Alvarez. Umm- wasn't there a Carl Dobrich who worked for the original Mayor Daley.

Cue 'It's A Small World After All.'

If capt. dobrich of the ISP was to investigate Vanecko, then he(Vanecko) would have nothing to worry about, for the investigation would be fucked up, just like the drew peterson case was. dobrich(no caps because of no respect for the guy) was in charge of the peterson case. It was the first homicide case he ever was involved in and it shows.

He made his rank because his daddy was a deputy supt with CPD, and gainer(no caps also) was the director of the ISP.

The politics never end, and the underlings suffer along with the victim's family.

Thank god he is retired.

Signed, a Seasoned Underling.

It would be like giving citations out to people who stop in the middle of intersections during traffic jams. Not helpful.

Listed under block intersection to create gridlock on your old traffic hard card.

Why enforce any laws at all, Circle A?
