CPD Shooting
One of those ones that pops up on the radar, then just as quickly, falls to the bottom of the news cycle:
- Chicago police said they wounded a male suspect in the leg who pointed a gun in their direction in the Englewood neighborhood early this morning.
Police said officers responded about 12:35 a.m. to a call of shots fired in an area known for gang and drug activity. In the vicinity of 5900 S. Princeton Ave. they saw a suspect with a gun in his hand who then turned and pointed his weapon at the officers, according to a police statement.
The officers both fired, hitting the suspect in the leg, police continued. He was arrested and taken to an area hospital. None of the officers was hurt.
Englewood, early morning, leg wound, gun recovered, nothing to see here folks. Move along. This should be bigger news once again, but it has been a pretty busy March across the city. Best wishes to the involved officers.

Way to go!
Agreed. 2nd shooting these officers have been in in the last 3months. Killed the shit out of the last guy. Came close this time. I wish these guys the best. They are doing "God's Work" in my eyes. Great policemen. Godspeed.
Is anyone else sick of the lack of press that our own Police Media fails to put forth. I mean come on, years past every police shooting would have Pat Camden (like him or not)in front of the cameras explaining to the public how the bad guy pointed a gun at the officers and the shooting was good. Say what you want about Camden but where is our own media person Lt. Maureen Biggane. When is the last time you saw her pretty face get on the news and defend us. She has been absent even when officers have been killed. I'm jealous of the Western located Police agencies that have their Commish. or their Supt. tell the public how, "If you point a gun at one of my officers, then you better dam well expect to be fired upon!" I hope the new union leaders take the opportunity to "feed the animal" and defend us. What a novel idea, call a press conference, (they will come) and tell the public what Pookie did, how he has been arrested twenty times and still is out hunting humans. Then tell how he made the choice when he raised his weapon. The public doesn't get behind us because the only news they hear is from the enemy. Lt. Biggane, earn your CO pay and start talking. Shields, take a lesson and start calling press conferences and telling the public what is going on. This city is a fucking war zone and only the Police, the poor citzens/crime victims and the animal know it. Tell the rest of the sheep what is happening on a daily basis. The bleeding liberals dont realize that we average over a murder a day and several shootings a day. What a shithole. To my brothers in blue, stay safe.
Da Wolf
Glad all the good guys made it out alright. Stay safe out there.
Good yob office, next time let the muzzle climb...
This should be receiving 24/7 media coverage! It's proof that the police don't have to kill anyone when they decide to unload, but instead can-at will-simply wound people. At least, that is what I think Rev. Phlegm would say.
According to poiceone.com 49 law enforcement officers I'm the US have died. Stay safe my brothers and sisters. We need to regain that comradeship
Isn't that what the public wants? Only shoot to wound? Just like those old westerns, shoot the gun out of his hand perhaps?
are we also becoming numb to police shootings--- it seems like this is happening 2-3 times a week lately--- glad the officers are ok and the bad guy will be getting a stay with idoc----
The Po-lice shot him in the leg?
Why didn't they shoot the gun in his hand?
Why did they have to do him like dat?
He was about to turn his life around.
All the best to the involved officers...thoughts and prayers of thanksgiving for your safe return to your families!
Nice job boys! You guys are fucking fearless!
Aim for center mass! Shooting somebody in the leg just makes it possible for them to then shoot you.
Soooo...
Is it the Police who are out of control in this city?
Or is it, perish the thought; the flying, flesh eating denizens of "certain" areas and neighborhoods who actually are?
You know... Those neighborhoods where they cry for the hated po-leece to save them from themselves?
You know... Those neighborhoods where generations turn in 12 to 15 years and they're full of misplaced anger and false outrage as a device to deflect the finger of responsibility away from themselves for their current state?
You know... Those neighborhoods held hostage by poverty pimping clergy, politicians and "community activists" who would starve to death if not for the cowardice of the political class and tax payers as a whole in not demanding that the money aquaduct leading to a black hole to nowhere be dynamited closed and diverted to provide actual tax payer relief?
We join in the chorus of "Good job Officers!"
Aim for center mass! Shooting somebody in the leg just makes it possible for them to then shoot you.

Thanks for the advice but obviously you have never been in a police shooting before. It's not like putting 30 rounds through a paper non moving target at 5 feet like our useless training and qualifications course. Good job officers. It's a pleasure to work in 007 with you!!!

WOW! What a stupid comment to make. Obviously not the police, but if so, not a good one. Stop watching cop shows cause in real life it's not that easy cowboy.
The officers involved had a weapons malfunction and had to do an emergency reload while getting shot at. Great job to the involved officers and there district, they responded in seconds, taped everything off and had no need for us! Great work 007. Stay safe brothers!!
