Cop Killer Denied Parole
Federal officials denied the parole request Friday for Henry Michael Gargano, whose pending release for the 1967 murders of two Northlake police officers generated outrage from law enforcement and the public.
"Mr. Gargano's prison record, on top of his lack of remorse for the crimes that led to his imprisonment, showed that his release would be incompatible with public safety." U.S. Parole Commission Chairman Isaac Fulwood Jr. said in a prepared statement.
Gargano, 79, pleaded guilty in 1968 to the shooting deaths of Northlake Officers John Nagle and Anthony Perri while robbing the Northlake Bank on Oct. 27, 1967, with two other men.
A judge sentenced Gargano to 199 years in prison. At a January 2010 parole hearing his case manager indicated Gargano was a likely candidate for release, and the commission tentatively set his parole for Sept. 3.
At 79, we're hoping he dies of a rapidly painful illness in short order. But the only way he leaves prison ought to be feet first and in a pine box.

Amen.
Dammit he had a job waiting at Streets and San ? Rot in that cell fkin jackass
What a piece of shit this guy is, but he's going to get a hearing every two years? WTF? Forget about this asswipe and let him rot in there.
I heard Ron Sodini is going to be the next super... Very reliable source... 35st mole! Also Ed Lenti going to be the 1st deputy..take that to the bank.
Hire more police!!!
I heard that "old softy on crime" Quinn was getting set to pardon him anyway...
"Convicted in 1968 and sentenced to 199 years. So how is it that 43 years later he almost walked out? Even at "day-for-day" credit (which we're pretty sure the feds don't do), that's still 56.5 years earlier than he should have been released."
Unfortunately,SCC this particular Northlake case is 'not' unique in Cook County or to the Chicago Police Dept.
Back then, prior to truth in sentencing laws, although many (cop killers) were sentenced to 100-200 years (intended as a LIFE SENTENCE) they were eligible for parole after 20 years.
Then annually, the family(ies) had to again undergo the torment and relive the pain of their loss to appear in front of the parole board to oppose the release of their loved one's murderers. (i.e.
Kaner, Loftus et al.)
That is why it's important to sign the (Frank DiMaria) FOP petitions 'each and every time' they come out to keep these cop-killers in jail.
Also, when applicable, assist our Memorial Foundation (John Gordon) by volunteering your time to join our members at the parole hearings at 26th/Cal. and in the bus trip to Springfield, to oppose the parole(s) of these murderers by your attendance and show of support.
Presently, petitions are NOW being circulated on behalf of the killers of the four (4) listed members. Their (initial) parole hearings will 'again' be held together at 26th/Cal. sometime in early June. (details to be posted via FOP or CPMF)

PO Edward Barron 14571 004th District End of Watch 28 September 1973
PO Patrick Crowley 3614 006th District End of Watch 13 September 1976
Please do whatever you can to support our 'Police Family' and keep these cop-killers in jail for the term in which they were lawfully sentenced and wholeheartedly belong...to rot.
Continue to keep ALL of our departed members in your hearts, thoughts and prayers.

With the Libs and Dems running this state, anything is possible.
I heard Ron Sodini is going to be the next super... Very reliable source
OUTSTANDING CHOICE! Although I hope its not true for one reason.
We absolutely 150% love working for this man in 017! What a nice family man all around great guy!!
If this is true...The next Lt. has some very big well respected shoes to fill!!
Sodini is a complete muckalooch.Only 2-more weeks for me on this rapidly going down hill job.......
Maybe Anita and her office need to be investigated.. chuck where are you buddy?
vengeance is Mine sayeth the Lord.
For the most part in the federal system, you do the crime you do most of the time.
That is a relatively recent change though. This guy went in under the old system where parole was common, as most states are.
I don't know the history of this case much but I wonder how it is he came to be convicted in federal court for what one would think is a state level crime.
OT: Rumor is that Rahm may be getting rid of a large number of exempt spots. Though I know you rally for this, remember, every exempt spot gone is one less promotion underneath that rank that is forever gone. One less Captain = one less lt. = one less Sgt. Put aside your hatred for certain exempts and remember this, it has a trickle down affect for every P.O. hoping to get promoted.
No , I'm not an exempt, just a lowly P.O. hoping to get one promotion in his 25 year career. FOP and PBPA should be fighting the elimination of ANY sworn spot.
"Wilding" took place downtown again. Tru is being deployed to the downtown area.
Pine box? How about a couple used sheets and dump him on the curb.
bat his f n head in with a bat if he gets out. im sure will be easy at his shit halfway house he ll be at. show the same lack if remorse.
Well that's one victory for justice.
Here's something to show the system is still fooked up.
Uptown shooters that injured young mother get two whole years.
This drive me nutz and I'm a civilian. I imagine some cops just would shrug and say "Typical day in criminal justice land........another drink barkeep."
Unbelievable.
I hope the posting at 01:56:00 is wrong..... Lenti refused to make an Agg Batt to PO report for an officer who had to fight when an arrestee attacked him... Lenti preferred to include the battery in the narrative of the Criminal Damage to Property report which was generated before the arrest. He said he wanted to keep the stats down for the commander as he was afraid it would look bad. The detectives then had to do more work to correct it.... Just do it right in the first place and you won't have to do it over (and over, and over again)

I heard that trolls visit this blog and leave stupid rumors.
OT; What's with the WALTER E. SMITHE commercials and the web site and their "I LOVE MAYOR DALEY" campaign? Leave a message? wow.
I hope he gets anal cancer and dies a long, slow, painful death in Sprinfield, Missouri.
From the artice:
""As a policeman, we want to thank everyone for not forgetting these men," Nissen said Friday after learning of the commission's decision. "The commissioners did what they were supposed to — protect the public.""
For crying out loud, stop trying to brainwash us!!!
With all due respect, Deputy Chief Nissen, if the above quote is accurate, it was -- not -- the "commission" that protected the public here. It was the public's outrage that stopped this murderous piece of crap from being released by the COMMISSION in Sept!
More from the article:
""This could go on every two years," Nagle said [son of slain Det. Joseph Nagle]. "If it comes up again, we'll show up again and fight the same fight.""
It's bad enough this Commission almost let this turd out. It is even worse that -- every -- two years the two families of the slain officers have to be once again victmized by a Commission of suckasses who can't even do the right thing in a case like this.
Who are these Commissioner? What are there names?? What kind of Pension are we paying to these people. I've said before, as a taxpayer, I have no problem paying a Pension to Cops and Firefighters who put their lives on the line every day but not gold plated pensions and healthcare benefits for politicians, paper pushers, clerks, prison barbers and parole commissioners!! They can self-finance their retirement like the majority of taxpayers do: out of their own fucking pocket!

Last week, however, the Drug Enforcement Administration seized
States look overseas for scarce execution drug
Georgia’s entire supply — effectively blocking the scheduling of any further executions — because of concerns over whether the state circumvented the law. “We had questions about how the drug was imported to the U.S.,” agency spokesman Chuvalo Truesdell said, declining to elaborate.
These animals kill themselves everyday with illegal drugs. But we can't execute a heinous killer because the drug is imported!
Who's running the FDA J-Fled????
Well there is some justice in the system. However if justice were truly served this guy would not be breathing.

Every other damn thing is imported including aircraft engines and parts and stuff necessary for national defense. But a drug used for lethal injections, oh, not that! Instead go back to Old Faithful, the good old American made full metal jacket .30-06 bullet.
Works every time, neat, quick, efficient.

It's simple..the officer was killed in a gun Battle that ensued after a Bank Robbery. Bank robery is a Federal crime. Understand now?
