Jack Dunphy Article

Jack Dunphy is the pen name of an LAPD copper who writes on police issues for various websites. We've linked to his articles before and they are almost without equal in our opinion. Wednesday, he took on the national embarrassment that our superintendent has managed to create. You can read the entire posting here, but the best part of the article comes at the very end where Dunphy quotes an NYPD Captain:
  • For more insight on McCarthy, I turned to an old friend, a captain on the NYPD who, for reasons that will soon be obvious, wishes to go unnamed here. His comments:

It should be noted how counterfeit and disingenuous McCarthy is. This is a man who has spent his entire professional life in an extremely aggressive, no-holds-barred crusade to put as many black men as possible in prison. He has vigorously advocated the wholesale arrests of black men for the smallest of infractions or violations with not a care as to how such actions could hamstring or effect their futures. He has publicly castigated (and humiliated in some cases) other police executives when they failed to pursue this crusade with the same zeal that he had.

This man is one of the architects of the “Stop, Question and Frisk” policy that the ACLU, the New York attorney general, newspapers, and civil rights activists have condemned as racist. For him to now climb up on stage and tell a black audience that he cares about them and that the problems in their neighborhoods are the fault of “gun laws” and some mystical governmental action is bizarre.

Garry knows what the real problem is but he is shamelessly prostituting himself in an effort to get a high approval rating and establish his liberal bona fides.

Seriously, go read the entire article. It is a masterpiece of a takedown.

So Ralm is looking to cut $30 million from the cities budget, threatening to fire over 600 people if he doesn't get what he wants -- as he plays the victim....meanwhile he turns his head and says that Burke's security detail is up to the police supernitendo..

That said. How interested can the man be about the city budget and making sure everyone shares in the sacrifice -- has "skin in the game"

“I was walking through shell casings, bullets, spent bullets in the street. They were getting stuck in my shoes and I said, you know what? Something’s wrong.”

Yep...something is definitely wrong when a ranking police official walks through a crime scene like he describes, destroying evidence. I hope the dicks on the scene inventoried his shoes so as to preserve those shell casings, and spent bullets! How bout this for a name for this guy...Shoeless Garry...and dat ain't no hibbity jibbity...mmmm hhmmm

Wow. A racist at St. Sabina's and the roof didn't cave in?

McStupe is very dangerous. He will throw the entire rank and file under the bus if it suits his needs.

He came in ripping and roaring just like the last fool. Disbanded units without any rhyme or reason, yanked officers back onto the streets without considering the effects their removal would have, etc.

Yes, I agree those units needed to be trimmed. Yes, I agree the 35th st. herd needed to be culled. But he removed some people that will really have a detrimental effect on operations.

Rahm is secretly doing a good job of starting to pit the unions against each other and people need to wake up about it.

Read the statements below from Local 73. Rahm is yealling at all these unions to find the money to save in the budget for furlough days or face layoffs. Well what o they do? They starting eyeing other departments budgets.

I would love to see how a lockup runs with just civilian employees. Now I know there are plenty of dog ass po's in some lock ups buy come on. When you are paying "lower paids salaries" as he says for positions you are going to get lower work. Plains and simple.

I also love the idea of using aviation security to do police funstinos at the airport. This is a security force that does not have weapsons! Great idea. Also if you then allow and train them to have weapons they will want a deserve more pay so where is the cost savings.

Maybe the FOP should start looking at all theses other unions budgets and tear them apart too

Another union, the Service Employees International Union Local 73, said it already sent the administration several money-saving proposals.

Replacing police officers in station lock-ups with lower-paid detention aides to free up more beat cops, and training aviation security guards to replace Chicago police officers working overtime at the airports are among ideas that could save the city “tens of millions of dollars,” said Matt Brandon, secretary/treasurer for Local 73, which represents workers who do such jobs.

Poor, poor Black men, receiving no justice in our racist court system.

Poor Black men.

It is obvious, isn't it? McCarthy is a double secret racist. He is actually a White racist agent provocateur. He isn't a Black apologist, he is really a Nazi who seeks to make Blacks and the left look bad.

Putting aside all the nonsense spewing from MacMan's mouth, his entire approach to law enforcement is wrong.

Broken windows enforcement can only work if the city has the resources and the courts have the will to enforce punishment for minor crimes. In Chicago, we have neither.

Not only is MacMan making a public spectacle of himself. In the long run, he is going to fail this department and this city.

Jeez Gary! If it really were government sponsored racism wouldn't we be allowing the sh**heads to carry guns around to kill each other? Where is the connection between prohibiting the possession of guns, and black and brown children killing each other? Black and brown children- and of course I'm speaking of the tiny, tiny majority of them that are convicted felons- are breaking the gun control laws when they ARM themselves! Tell me Gary how is preventing black and brown children from.carrying guns institutionalized racism? I guess I'm just surprised that the south side mensa club that is.the St. Sabinas congregation failed to recognize Gary's illogical assertion.

Burkes detail lets see 6 guys with overtime D-3 rate about $130,000 each per year! = $780,000 New Crown vic every year with all the fancy equip $40,000+ free insurance and maintenance! Tank of fuel every day $60.00 adds up to conservatively = $21,900 grand total is per year $842,000 round it off to a cool million! Lets see new copper starting salary $45,000 we could hire 22 new coppers if we eliminate that not needed detail, double that with stephanie neely we have 44 coppers or 2 classes easy math but no one will remove his the "masters" detail1

first off, what kind of jagoff would write a coppers daughter a ticket??? I know I sure wouldnt. I dont know of many coppers that would. The ones in my district that would I can name them all and its a small list. Needless to say those guys are complete dorks and nobody likes them. If another copper were to write my daughter/wife/son a ticket I would be pissed and I guarantee you would be too. If you say that you wouldnt then your a bold faced liar. If your not part of the team and your gonna stick it right up another coppers ass by writing him or an immediate family member a ticket then its open season in my opinion. What goes around comes around in my opinion. Thats whats wrong with this job now, people dont stick together. 15 or 20 years ago if you wrote a coppers wife or daughter a ticket you could be assured the copper would find you and confront you. I once witnessed a fist fight in 007 when the copper on the watch(a real as*hole) wrote a copper who worked in 005 a ticket. The copper from 005 confronted the guy in the parking lot of 007 and he had nothing but an attitude about it and it went to blows... needless to say after the fight the guy in 007 never wrote another coppers family member a mover and he requested to be moved off the traffic car. anyone working in 007 3rd watch in 93' should remember this. oh well, what do you expect these days.. just a bunch of softball gel heads on this job who only see black and white and right and wrong... they have lost site of the "behind the scenes" and grey area of this job... that part of the job(the fun part) is gone. Now, this job has a bunch of robots.
