we also have a bug in iad. its shell is a backpack and scurries from office to office. if you don't want to catch the 7 year itch, use the "go back to the district spray" on him.
Anyone know if that IAD numnuts is still at records or did he finally get his date for the board for living in park ridge?? Worked with him in 024 and what a tool he is. He loved screwing people over while at IAD.

No posts on McCarthy's 007 district visit? He tells 1400 roll call that the city is hiring 50 more officers and possibly another 17 with grant money. He said that he is doing his best to get more oficers then minutes later, still seated in the 007 roll call room, tells abc7 that the FOP is wrong and that we don't need to hire any more police.

An old Irish remedy I tried was a shot of whiskey, a lemon wedge studded with clove, and hot water. Very soothing drink when under the weather. A little honey or sugar works with it too. Even if you don't get rid of your ailment, the buzz will lessen the pain for a night.

One of the bugs is a really bad strep virus. Downed our household for two weeks - totally bedridden.
We were initially put on Z-Pack, 1,000 MG, for 3 days and then the Doc placed us on Amoxicillin, 500 MG, twice a day for 10 days.
Knocks you for a loop and all you want to do is sleep.

He is lying. I was in the academy for a inservice class and saw new recruits in the gym. The academy had the final power test for the new recruits. They had 54 qualified and will only hire 50 recruits for this year. Imagine telling those four recruits after months of testing to go home.There are no future plans for any hiring or any promotional classes. Everything is focused on the G-8 next year. McCarthy is a goof.

Lodi (LOH'-deye) Police Chief Vincent Caruso ordered an officer to ticket his wife after she double parked while dropping off their 5-year-old son at school.
The chief paid the $54 ticket.
It's not the first time for Paula Caruso. The chief ordered another officer to ticket her two years ago after she forgot to move their vehicle for street cleaning.
The chief told the newspaper he loves his wife and she's very busy driving their four sons around.
His wife couldn't be reached for comment Thursday. The Carusos' phone number is unlisted.

Got the flu shot once in my life and damn did that thing work! I got the flu that year. Stop with all the medications and just let the body build up it's own natural immunity to all this crap.
If you get called to the scene and a crime has been committed write the report. Even if the victim walks away and refuses paper.
By not doing the report we are helping them in the lie that crime is down. Anyone working the street knows the real truth. Don't walk away from an rd number when someone tells you a crime has occurred.

IF they drop residency who the fuck do you think will buy your house? Houses are sitting for 12 to 18 to 24 months. And if they lift residency do you think you'll be the only person selling one? Ralph has had a golden spoon up his ass for years. He retired as a deputy chief then was hired as a deputy chief for university of Chicago. Pension plus a fat new salary and car. Now he is head of the water department? Not too greedy for the retired guy.

Any idiot who wants residency over your raise, insurance, iod/medical, duty availability, holidays etc... Your really a total moron. What are you going to do? Move out of the city when your under water in your house? Residency don't mean shit today because the market is shot, most of us who have kids in school and a mortgage can't afford to move because we will nor be able to make anything. Don't give up anything for residency because residency doesn't mean much today... 10 years ago it would have made a huge difference to a lot of people who could have sold their homes and made some $$ or paid off their mortgage but today most are stuck. Keep our medical which is their #1 priority to take from us... Then duty availability, then uniform allowance, then holidays,...and of course raise medical and give us no raises...get ready it's coming.
The least the dept can do if their not gonna hire more officers to help with back up is make sure every officer on the working the street is taser trained and that there is enough tasers for everyone who wants to take one out.

Given the dire budget situation the city faces, it will be somewhat of a miracle if there are no layoffs. I am surprised they even hired anyone for the new academy class about to start.
I wonder if they are being hired only to be laid off down the road as some kind of sacrifice. Do not underestimate their level of desperation. They know the gig is up and really bad times are coming for city workers.
maybe the thinking is if they layoff 50 cops to prove their new found financial prudence they can scam the public into some kind of tax increase.
