Not a Turkey Leg

  • A Wisconsin man who allegedly attacked a fellow guest at a Thanksgiving Day dinner after she ignored his claim to a specific chair at the dining table has been charged with attempted homicide.

Kendrick Carr, 23, allegedly pulled a foot-long butcher knife on the woman after she refused to stand up from the chair he said he wanted to sit in, according to the criminal complaint filed in Racine County Circuit Court on Monday.

The woman defended herself with a broom and was unharmed, according to the complaint.
Over a chair? Man, those cheeseheads are nuts.

One of my first homicides (30 years ago) as a recruit involved two brothers, one of whom killed the other over a turkey leg on Thanksgiving. My FTO and I caught the guy wandering around the neighborhood the next morning about 0700. The guy fought like hell, but we subdued him, had him transported and he was processed.

When we asked him why he stabbed his brother with a huge kitchen knife and nearly severed his head, the guy just said he had been promised the turkey leg and his brother refused to give it up. He wasn't sorry about the murder, he was still angry because he never got the leg. Go figure.

Reminds me of grandma getting a carving knife in the back on Thanksgiving day many moons ago over a drumstick. Westside of course.

Attempt Homicide? Are you kidding me. In Crook County the ASA would hang up on you after they finished laughing. Agg assault all the way down here. Send it to misdemeanor court Officer.

I recall when daddy blew his son away with a shotgun right at the table because son took the last turkey leg. An arguement ensued , a little shoving and then the shotgun made an appearance. I was the homicide dick on the case in the old maxwell station. Nothing surprises me.

Here in Cook County, you point a gun at someone (who happened to be a cop) you get charged with Misdemeanor Assault and weapons charges. Now, I've heard that this weapon was or may have been a bb gun but...the person/officer thought it was a real gun. This place is a joke.

Didn't we have something similar on the west side in 011 about 6 years ago?
