Makeshift Flamethrower

  • A 24-year-old Chicago man is in custody after he used a makeshift flamethrower on a police officer responding to a domestic battery this morning in far northwest Woodstock, officials said.

Willie Dunigan III is being held in the McHenry County jail and awaiting a bond hearing after being arrested and charged today after he eluded police for about four and a half hours, said Woodstock Police Sgt. Chip Amati.

  • When police showed up at the woman's apartment on the 500 block of Central Parkway, Dunigan met them at the door with an aerosol can and a lighter, Amati said. The man then used the lighter and can "as a makeshift flamethrower against the officers."

  • Dunigan was charged with aggravated arson, aggravated unlawful restraint, domestic battery, aggravated battery to a peace officer, aggravated assault, reckless conduct, endangering the life of a child and resisting a peace officer, Amati said. Other charges are pending, Amati said.
McHenry doesn't usually mess around, so this jagoff is going away for a bit.

Maybe he was trying to light a cigarette. When police show up at the front door people tend to get nervous! I am going to deny charges at this time!

In the city he would have been charged with simple assault. All other charges would have been denied....they can upgrade in court

OT - Maggie Daley Cultural Center?

Rahm Emanuel is tripping all over himself to honor the Daley Crime Family with a permanent memorial for Maggie. Turns out NW Memorial Hospital already has a women’s cancer center that bears her name, and DePaul University christened a building in its downtown campus after her AND her husband. But Emanuel wants the REAL mayor's family to feel exceptionally special and he's apparently letting THEM decide how:

Emanuel Working On Maggie Daley Tribute

Might not necessarily be renaming the Chicago Cultural Center

After days of tributes to the late Maggie Daley by people who knew and admired her, Mayor Rahm Emanuel is talking with the Daley family to try to figure out the best way to permanently acknowledge what she meant to Chicago.

"...according to Emanuel, any permanent honor will likely be inadequate given the decades she dedicated to Chicago."

“There’s nothing I would name that fully would grasp her contribution to making this city a richer and stronger city,” Emanuel said.

For my money, I say let's rename the Metropolitan Correctional Center after the stuttering prick and fill it up with him and all of his corrupt and felonious family and friends to live there till they croak. Now that's a renaming that I can stand behind and support. Hell, they can even rename parts of the prison, like the Patrick Daley Russian Library, the Vanecko Gym and Weight Room, or the Richie Daley Corruption Cell Block.

But let's get all this bullshit over with. Mother Teresa didn't die here and I'm tired (along with most others I've spoken to) of hearing about it.

OT:
At risk of being ridiculed and told to read the contract, I'll ask anyways. If I select a 5b furlough for 2012 and the arbitrator finds for the union, will the possible outcomes of how the entire situation is handled be decided by the arbiter? What I'm curious about is whether I will have the period off, or if the city will merely be allowed to make us work for time and a half? If we are forced to come in and work, I assume that we will not be given another half segment to compensate for the missed furlo segment. I know there were previous discussions about this issue, but I never saw a definitive answer to how it'll be handled. Thank you to those that can provide some clarification.

The last few days have been an interesting study in how the Main Stream Media creates myths and then uses TV cameras to support the fiction. How many reporters read stories from a personal perspective that you know they didn't have? How many goofs were "touched" by her in so many ways? If it's on TV, it's fake, read the fine print on commercials. Also, Wildboyz and Bully Beatdown were faked.

I also was thinking about the 5b furlough for legitimate reasons. I take that time off every year. I was told if the city denies you and makes you work, then eventually compensates you for this time. You probably wont be entitled to another furlough for the year since they had paid you for time off already. Now, whats more important to you, time off from this job or money? You can make money anytime, you cant get the time back !!

This happened in 014 a few years back. Pedro "The Flame" Juarez was arrested after a domestic. After a large dinner consisting of traditional Mexican food Pedro fought with his wife and girlfriend, when the police arrived Pedro, bent over and lit a fart in the direction of responding officers. The only thing that saved them was a miscalculation on Pedro's part, you see solids are harder to light.

Reply: "...OT:

If FOP does win this grievance, and it'll be hard pressed to show how, Don't count on any monetary compensation, you're entitled to your furlo selection, which when denied 5th Period furlo, your second choice will be granted, therefore you weren't "denied" a furlo, just postponed. Same as being detailed out or work schedule changes. Whereas the Mayor or Supt can deem an event as an emergency.
Refer to Contract sections 20.7, 23.2, 23.6 & 23.11, lots of room for an argument siding with The City.
I think the Arbitrator will rule with the City, but in your case, a documented history of 5th period furlos makes you one step closer to show your argument, if in fact you had sustained a montenatry loss for being denied that furlo segment.
Good luck and thanks for playing.
BTW, will The Woodstock flame thrower be available to light the Eternal Flame at the dedication of Maggie's Cultural Center? Sounds like he may have been an alumni from After School Matters.

CCSAO FRU would have "CI'ed" this case, pending the interview of the aerosol can company executives. This, in order to determine whether or not the aerosol can was past it's expiration date. . . . making the nozzle inherently defective due to age. . . . .

You'd hope that Cook (Crook) County would take a page from McHenry County's book on how to handle scumbags, but I doubt it. Load the guy up with the all the relevant charges that apply and ensure that his ass gets convicted. He won't be doing that kind of crap in McHenry anymore once he eventually gets out of the joint. He'll just do it in Cook County next time.
