Send Me a Cop to Fight
A 38-year-old Willowbrook man accused of calling 911 and asking to fight a police officer faces felony battery and resisting arrest charges, police said on Monday.
Police said John R. Pacella, of the 200 block of Stanhope Drive, was arrested after a 911 call from a man who “wanted to see an officer because he wanted to fight with them” about 4 a.m. on Jan. 19, police said.
When officers arrived at Pacella’s home, he shoved the officers, according to a police report.
Pacella was booked into DuPage County Jail, where he remains on $100,000 bail, according to jail records. He is charged with aggravated battery, resisting a police officer, and battery with intent to provoke or insult – all felonies – records indicate.

Dear scc: maybe because it's 0010 and I should be sleeping, or maybe I just don't get it, but can anyone tell me why a police officer was sent to this guys house? If he calls 911 and says send the police cause I want to fight them, then why would they send the police? Not that many officers wouldn't jump at the chance....
Willowbrook is the low-end suburb in DuPage County.
Most individuals who live there do not admit they are from Willowbrook.
I was gonna say that the battle of the badges should be opened up to the citizens.
There should be an application form to attend on the backside of every citation that is written.
Willowbrook is full of section 8. My sister lives there and says the local businesses are being inundated with former Chicago housing residents.
Willowbrook is Dupage County's version of Roseland. Poor White trash and section 8.
No signs of physical injuries and still get a felony approval. Must be nice to work in a place where they actually apply the law.
Send this dude to the 10th annual BATTLE OF THE BADGES and let him start some shit there.
Some guys just need an ass whoopin!
This being in the media signals contract negotiation time. Here comes all the dirty laundry to make us look even worse than we already do.
I just can't imagine working in a County where they actually treat the police like human beings. It's as if if Cook County expects us to be human punching bags and targets. Thanks for nothing Anita Alvarez.
Too bad Eddie Yoshimura was not available..!!!
Hillbillies in Uptown used to do it all the time. 020 and 023 never lost a round.
some sergeant we got would 19p it, instead of taking the lead to accomadate his call for service.
Sorry SCC, Dupage County is a JOKE!!!! Talk to officers who have the pleasure of being in Dupage CO. Those officers will tell you that the ASA's there never want to approve charges without video evidence or a written confession. Dupage will hammer you if convicted but they like to keep their batting average real high and only prosecute chip shots. They don't take chances unless the case is high profile.
I was born and raised in Dupage Co. I know several officers from multiple departments in Dupage. What I said above is what they say to me every time I talk to them.
He is charged with agg. batt.,resisting a p.o.,batt. w/intent to provoke, all felonies.......AND THEN I WOKE UP.
Geez, why'd they even bother to dispatch anyone to meet with this fool?
Man, 19, Charged In Fatal Stabbing Of Graffiti Writer
A 19-year-old Little Village man was charged with the fatal stabbing of a graffiti writer at a Logan Square intersection over the weekend, Chicago police said this morning.
Linear Caballero was a graffiti writer who loved to roam the streets of Chicago leaving his mark on buildings, said Ramon Ureste, who was Caballero's adopted grandfather.
Ureste told the Tribune that his grandson's killer, a fellow graffiti writer, had come by his home Friday and threatened Caballero with a knife, though Caballero didn't take the threat seriously.

Awww, how sweet. He "was a graffiti writer who loved to roam the streets of Chicago leaving his mark on buildings"... No wonder the comments are closed on this. Every freakin homeowner in the city who's ever had their property spray painted I'm sure would have something to say about these cock- suckers! Maybe we can spray paint his corpse before he ends up at the Medical Examiners for SIX MONTHS waiting for the taxpayers to give him a decent burial!
I see a win/win situation here...
Two pos taggers off the street, one forever. I hope it's the bastard that tagged my garage in September and a 2nd time TWO WEEKS AGO!
He probably wanted to get into the Jail to get free room and board. It's not like Illinois has so many job opportunities.
Now he is three squares on YOUR dime.
It's the new lighter version of suicide by cop. Free room & board by cop.
Keep payin' taxes.
You call 911 and ask for the cops, you got to expect the cops.
Easy felony arrest and fortunately, the only one that got hurt was the moron who called 911.
I agree with the first post...if this guy calls 911 and said what he said...why send the police. Not too smart on somebody's part.
These are the facts:
-SSC is the only news source for Chicago P.D.
-Chicago P.D. is running from a Sgt level down.
-Chicago P.D. needs inside leadership now!
-White shirts coming off and waving for surrender!
-The Department has been destroyed by outsiders.
My observation is that NO ONE cares what is going on. The FOP and PBPA are useless and avoiding the destruction happening. WTF?!?
Inspector C.W. should be gone from this Department. Her past as well as many other promoted ones records, is whats wrong with the morale of this Dept..
No one should be ORDERED to follow direction from a person who cannot be described as "Ethical, Trustworthy, Dedicated, Having Integrity, Honorable, etc....". Also, racism goes both ways. Fair treatment is a must. Whites must be fair to blacks, vice versa, and so on....
A Chicago Police Officers prayer:
"God, please flush the shit out of this City Management, Police Department and County Court system. Please keep the Officers safe and send them home each day unscathed and proud to call themselves Chicago Police Officers again! Oh and God, please take care of the firemen also! We need to have them around! They do good work too!"

You're welcome. I take credit when its due... BTW, I'm more than happy to hang a cop anyday of the week. If this happened in Cook County, you better believe I'd be looking into an improper response by the arresting Officers. Attention Officers, I am watching your every move. Have a nice day! Who, who, who, ha, ha, ha!!

I'd buy a ticket to see that!
Some of us love the physical hands on stuff. Its fun and it sharpens u up. If you ever seen Eddie in action, you would know what I mean.

AND ABOVE STATEMENT IS A GOOD LOOK AT WHAT WRONG WITH SO CALLED "POLICE" officers of this generation..
please oh please let me be wrong and its not from a police officer..(( hey I can dream )) FILLMORE 4 LIFE

literally finished in federal court last week, the jury found AGAINST us regarding malicious prosecution, because (in post interview with corp.counsel) they said we were malicious in attempting to upgrade battery to po on my partner because he had no serious injuries. what a fucking joke!! these were the citizens of cook county that returned this verdict, remember that when they ask for a break.
Eddie Yoshimura= full of himself, pompous ass....

right on the money!
In suburbia, we send a cop to EVERY 911 call. No matter what they say, need ,want, request..etc. We get the barking dogs, my kid won't go to school, my neighbor looks at me wrong, a squirrel in window well, all of the crazy stuff. But we are required to go, listen, and the we leave. When they call back, we go again and again and again. Doesn't matter which suburb, I worked in a rich one and poor one too. Some people are just crazy!!!

It sounds like you guys follow "the chicago model" because we have been doing that since law was created. Waste of time.

You did not think this thru ! When someone is saying those things on the phone to the police, you must respond and investigate. If you do not, and this fool ambushes some beat guy it would look and be very bad. When someone expresses those intentions, take him seriously and document and investigate.
Pacella, like Pacella trucking?
