Sentencing at 26th Street

Evidently, a whole bunch of friends of the convicted are going to pack the room:
  • I am writing this to inform officers that tomorrow, 21 Feb 12, offender Howard Morgan who shot two police officers in 05 is being sentenced.

An officer safety alert was issued for the four officers(victims)in this case today because apparently shitheads sent out flyers to pack rm 600 to protest the sentencing.

If any officers in court at 26 can stop by rm 600 to show support it would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance
Stop by to help make sure this asshole gets the max.

Tact teams and sheriffs in the area should be on high alert for "furtive movements".

Uh so... Joe's family and a bunch of older folks who looked like missionary baptist types showed up, but I really only saw a handful of CPD at room 600 today. I had to excuse myself before the sentencing because I like being able to hear myself think, plus, I try not to give the savage too many opportunities to rip me to bits. Looked like some Black Panther shut going on downstairs in the lobby for the cameras. Hmmph.

Crappy deal when the thugs try to intimidate the citizens. Do them one better and make them very much afraid. Take their picture as they leave the courtroom as it might come in handy.

I lived and grew up in the ghetto, how does anyone in political power justify trying to help a criminal? unbelievable! It's like Alderman that serve as lawyers for gang members, it should clearly be a conflict of interest. The corrupted city of chicago never seizes to amaze me.

To the troll the double jeapordy appeal was heard already and the defense lost. He was found not guilty of the lessor count during the first trial. The other counts were hung. Ie retrial go back to law school.
He is guilty as hell, he was convicted, now its time to be sentenced. It would be nice to see alot more coppers on april 5th. The court room was packed with morons.

I was listening to felon Cliff Kelly on WVON. Why? Because I like doing things like that.

Anyway, this Morgan's ghetto posse was all over the air. One woman said she was on the elevator with one of the victims (officer). She said she was going to yell out that he was "one of the ones who shot Morgan." Presumably hoping the other thugs would attack.

Keep your head up if you are on this case. I would also watch to see if anyone follows you home from court.

This Morgan was a real piece of shit, even when he was on this job. I don't know the whole story about his resignation (ie. Quit or go to jail), but I know it was a sordid one.

how about instead of lambasting people that happen to care about someone who got convicted (i mean, most people have SOME friends and family) why not be happy about the fact that a) a defendant was put on trial, b) the jury heard all the evidence, c) the jury convicted based on all the facts, d) the law will mete out a punishment that is deserved for the crime (check out the mandatory minimums and consecutive sentencing issues), e) be satisfied that in this case the system did EXACTLY what YOU as citizens, and more over as OFFICERS have the benefit of living under and swearing an oath to support. to think otherwise sure makes the people who are not in support of police officers sound like they make a good argument. why be angry that a man went to trial, lost and will be sentenced appropriately? i for one am glad this happened in this case and the jury heard what they needed to and made a firm decision based on the law AND THE FACTS!
