Just so you know, people often type in our e-mail address to your forms so they don't have to give a real e-mail address to the FOP log-in screen. That isn't really us writing to you, so when you write back to us critiquing us for being anonymous, you look like an ignoramus.
We have an alternate address we use to send you e-mails and questions, most of which go unanswered for some reason.
Please remember, we gave you guys pretty much free rein in our comment sections last campaign season to tout a whole bunch of promises that seem to have fallen by the wayside. That mistake won't be repeated during your re-election run.
Now please be quiet before we have to reveal to the readers how you guys had an entire website designed for tens of thousands of dollars and then dumped it in favor of another pay site run by a connected cousin of the board who builds websites for a bunch of democratic candidates endorsed by the FOP. What did that cost the membership? $30,000? $45,000? Or more?

Hold up scc, I dont know whats going on but a bucket of dirt would be better to have leading the fop than mike shields. I hope shields does one term and is gone.. Bella should have been elected in my opinion only. Shields is not a leader and is a crybaby. And hey, ive met rich aguilar a few times... I will stay out of what ever you too guys are fueding about but he seemed like a decent guy. Very pleasant and a all around nice guy.. but scc, you kids play nice now!

I am really disgusted with the FOP for ENDORSING THE MACHINE CANDIDATES! Growing up in Chicago, that's all I've seen and this is why we are the most corrupt City in America. How can you guys at the FOP not get that?
Endorse candidates that stick up for us if you can find one. If you can't, don't endorse! It really is that simple.

In defense of Rich, he could have created the new format for the FOP website for free, but it was the newer elected Field Reps who pushed to have someone else design the website for a fee, at least five figures.
Rich Aguilar is pretty useless, especially when it comes to handling grievances. I think he needs to be reminded that he should have the p.o.'s bet interests come first and not the city's.
The shields family have always been in bed with the Democratic Party, read When Corruption Was King by Robert Cooley.
Dave Shields, Mike and Dan's Uncle went to prison for taking money to fix cases as the sitting head Judge of the Chancery Division of the Cook County Courts in Operation Dingbat/Graylord.
Now there cousin sits on the bench as a Crook County Judge, amazing!

Haha. Much llike the voters that are were drunk with hope and elected Osama starstruck cops elected Mikey and his guys. I remember such quotes as he must be good look at that video he made at the pension board. It speaks volumes that our pension fund is in the worst shape in its history and he has been one of the ones responsible for running it for over the last five years. Hopefully you guys make more educated decisions in the elections next week. But then again most cops don't vote anyway.
To all the posts on here beefing about Fop endorsement of Madigan, wake up. This guy is the most powerful politician in the state. He's also a shoe in to win. So it would be real intelligent for an organiztion that can be greatly impacted by many of his policies to go against him especially since he's going to win anyway. And considering the fact that probably less than 20% of cops will vote anyway even if Fop did go against him not enough people vote to make a difference.
Every single union in the State of Illinois endorsed Mike Madigan. We all know that he is far from perfect, but do you really want to be the one union that didn't? When "pension reform" comes our way (and the public already wants your pension taken away), is that what you really want?
Everyone wanted a spokesman - Shields hired Camden.
Everyone wanted more FOP in the media - Shields delivered. Did he not lead the charge against the G8?
Everyone loves Farrell and Kato at shootings. Shields took action when he saw financial malfeasance, unlike the Sergeants who just let 800-900K of their dues money disappear. Looks to me like Shields is doing things right.
Hope all you idiots who voted for the Sheilds team are happy ~ I knew this crap would happen and thats why I voted for a compentant & more experienced Bella who wouldn't take sh%# from anyone! He would of had our backs & best interest and would of fought for us!

Has Shields turned over his spot at the pension board?
I bought into their b.s. the first time, not doing it the second time. In a city that's supposedly pro union the f.o.p. endorses politicians who are anti union, police haters, and for some reason madigan. Way to go f.o.p. you are turning into a joke just like the rest of CPD and the city. I love what I do and the city I do it in. But, now I am really contemplating something that I never thought I would, lateral transferring somewhere. The politicians, media, civilians, ect... All hate us, and want to make examples of use. They are literally trying to take away our lively-hood, and we don't even have a united front. The cpd, county, and state are a sinking ship right now. If something doesn't change soon politically and culturally, Chicago and its departments are done.
The Shields brothers have always had it easy on this job. They have clout. Their sister at one time ran the air & water show and mayor Daley's office of special events. Ask Danny about his ride with the Navy's Blue Angles. Must have been fun.
Or how he had inside information which helped him buy vacant land in ghetto neighborhoods for almost nothing, than lease it to cellular phone companies to build towers on. They maintain it, while he gets thousands of dollars a month in income.
The final insult, he never attended an FOP meeting in his career, until his brother started to consider a run for FOP President. Now he is a Sergeant at arms walking around the Lodge like a "big shot!"
It takes a certain type of personality to be a politician. That's why they are all the same.
I really hope FOP did not waste $30,000 on their CRAPPY website to help a political crony.

I gotta tell you, more than faulting the young guys for voting Shields in, I fault everyone else for not taking 5-minutes to send in their ballot voting for Bella. Our election turnout from active FOP members is a disgrace! The retirees vote in force, and they should not be allowed to vote anyway. But, I guess we are just an extension of society, in that we continue to allow the wrong people to vote the wrong candidates into office.
Old retired guy says I used to believe! I Was a soldier for the cop, paper packers, teamsters and fop. then one day I woke up! these guys are just the same as any politican ME FIRST. Its all about the money and not yours guys.

Mike I am ashamed that I voted for you. You talked a good game to get elected but then you forgot our interests. Maybe you need to go back and look at the news footage on how you held the Pension Board accountable. Now all you do is sit in that office and try to get security contracts for you and your brother. Do you think we are that stupid? Kind of funny how you and your family are being hired for G8 security in several places around the city for the G8 and NATO. Do you think we are stupid? SCC doesn't this make sense? The FOP President and his brother, Dan, own a security company and have been securing contracts to protect numerous businesses during G8 and NATO under the name of Jetty security that is located at 660 N Orleans in Chicago. Go to http://www.jettysecurity.com/ and you will see Dan in the picture for the Security Company. Sounds like a little bit of a conflict of interest to me. No wonder FOP has been so quiet about the G8 and NATO. One Term Shields and possibly a Vote of No Confidence for our Union.
And I also like you Rich Aguilar, I am surprised you of all people have not been able to see what is going on in that office. Time for a "Vote of no confidence for FOP!!!!!"

Are you aware that the FOP, in conjunction with the Progressive Alliance Pac (www.progressivealliance.org) endorsed the list of possible candidates, and that the Progressive Alliance PAC is a communist organization? Check out their web site....one of their candidates is Rudy Lozano, a long time Communist in Chicago. Why is the FOP in bed with communists, and is associating with the Communist Party something you approve of???
Did you see the Breitbart video showing Congressman Danny Davis coming out of the Communist Party USA headquarters, known as the Unity Center, at 3339 S. Halsted, after receiving an award from them? A reporter asked about what the award was for (apparently Danny and Rudy "worked" together on communist projects together, and this was the Commie's was of thanking Davis.) After Davis and a few commies realized that the reporter was NOT one of THEM, they tried to bully the reporter, but he pushed back verbally, and they walked away. The reporter continued to walk with them and asked Davis if he knew about the Commuist Party, and then Davis told he wasn't going to answer any more questions...
The Democrat Party IS the Communist Party today. That's because CFD Local 2 is an actual Union so they always use Union people and businesses and yes it usually works out for them. Hence their contracts.
