See Ya Rod

  • Flanked by his wife Patti and his youngest daughter, Rod Blagojevich bid a public goodbye outside his North Side home Wednesday during a statement that was part political stump speech, part confession.

  • Blagojevich made his 12-minute speech in front of his Ravenswood Manor home just after 5 p.m. amid cheers of support and a media circus. His wife wiped away tears. Afterward he signed autographs and waved to the crowd from his porch for nearly half an hour.

  • At 3 p.m. the ex-governor and daughter Annie left home, walking hand in hand down the block where they got into a friend's car, destination unknown. The walk was unscheduled but seemed to be for the cameras.
Evidently, it's still all about Rod. At least he didn't pinch his daughter's leg so she could cry on cue like at his first trial. If he keeps his mouth shut and Obama loses, expect a pardon.

------

HE ALSO took his youngest daughter for "a walk" for about a block or 2though the ground of reporters.

WHAT A PIECE OF SHIT . . using his child to make a feeble attempt to gain sympathy.

I CAN NOT BELIEVE the dumb native democrats that were standing around cheering this piece of scum. The dumb bastards would re=elect him again.

It was better than Groundhog Day.

I hope he didn't see his shadow.

Rod was all smiles because he has a back door scam in place. Bets say he has a pardon worked out with the pres. already. He will be out shortly or by O's second term.

Maybe an unpopular opinion but i think the sentence was too harsh. 14 years for that crap? he didn't even make any money off the deal. The Daleys have been raping the city for years and they walk free. also murdering scumbags get way less time. i think jail time is appropriate but 14 yrs is too much. Just an opinion.

Rod is just and egotistical clown who never made any friends in Springfield. All of the corrupt sinister politicians who were trying to make money hated this goof. As bad as he seems there are many more vicious and greedy politicians who should be sharing a cell with himm. Madigan, Cullerton, and the Racoon are just a few. In a year nobdy will even remember Little Elvis. Wonder how long it will take Patti to find a new love interest. 14 years is a lifetime.

When he walked out of the door to greet his public he should have been met by an empty street save one teenager on a bike. Said teenager should have "hocked a luggi' his way and given him a hearty "fuck you".

But this is Chicago, there were a bunch of idiots out there.

My money is on a new 'daddy' soon enough. That's the Chicago way too, Rod.

Good riddance blago you miserable self-absorbed jerk. Another night of sleep disturbed because the news helicopters are hovering over blago's house at 0430 in the morning.

Hopefully everyone will forget about blago for 14 years. The moron is totally oblivious to all the harm he did to the State of Illinois.

I may take a trip out to Colorado in a few months to visit the moron just so he can get strip searched before and after the visit.

He is in for a real awakening. Rot in prison jerk off.

I don't care what anyone says, he didn't deserve the sentence he got~rapists & murderers get less time than he did! And you can't tell me he's the only politician that tried to sell a seat?! He just didn't fit in with the Madigan click and now he's paying for it....

Can't believe the news coverage they are giving Blago this morning. Gov. Ryan sure didn't get much. He probably should have gotten the 14 years instead of Rod. Unequal justice at work.

One has to be a cold MF'er to set to send your grandkids' daddy to prison. Maybe he never like him but realized he had his uses.

but political 'horsetrading' as Blago/Flako called it has got to stop.

Governor Quinn did the same thing to at least 4 retiring legislators by giving them state jobs onleaving office in return for voting for his tax increase.

Rod was taken down to protect Obozo. There is NO WAY the POTUS would have no input into who gets his vacated seat. Even if he had to call his puppet master, George Soros to ask.

Just because he's stupid doesn't mean he shouldn't go to jail.

All Illinois politicians should serve two terms; one in office, one in prison.

Everyone knows he is a knuckle head and a crook, his career is ruined, he will never hold elective office again. I have to agree with a few others here, that 14 years is too long. People who physically harm other people, rapists, armed robbers, pedophiles, etc. get less time. I feel bad for his kids, not him.

Sad... when pieces of shit like this are in public office, helping to run a state into the ground and smiles about it.
As the public becomes so aclamated to bullshit like this that you don't hear the outrage that would have once would have been.

I wish people would get a clue and maybe not follow a crowd off a cliff, or maybe they like explaining to their children why human natrue now in politics is to lie cheat and steal....

I agree. If what Rod did was deserving of 14 years then what Shortshanks has done to this city is deserving of at least 30 years!
Shanks has bankrupted this city, intentionally underfunded our pensions etc. yet nothing happens to him. In fact we're still providing him with cars and butlers!

Daley was a good Mayor no matter what is said. Dancer has a lot of baggage and ties but he's such a bully that no ones looking. He appointed some jerks who are gonna cut jobs.

Rod should have shut his mouth and humbled himself and he would have got less time. Political horsetrading happens all the time. He got caught on tape and prosecutors wanted him down.

Too many Dems in charge. Economys for shit and we are the most corrupt city in the U.S.

Pure fantasy scc. Obama's not gonna lose to any of those hacks and would NEVER pardon Blago either. Candidate Obama kept his distance from then governor as best he could considering he was fellow democrat and held highest office in the state at the time. This is not any where near remotely similar to Ford and Nixon.
