Technical Difficulties

Lots of Internet problems tonight. Not sure if it's that predicted solar flare that's messing everything up, but if it's nighttime, why would a sun storm matter?

Posting may be delayed here tonight.

Open post in the meantime.

Just because it's 'night time' doesn't mean the earth isn't being pounded by the emissions from the solar flare.
Wait til it pairs up with the full moon tonight.

Department Update Regarding NATO Summit

Due to the 2012 NATO Summit, from 16 - 22 May 2012, the Chicago Police Department anticipates an extraordinary demand on its operational resources.

The Department recognizes that certain major life events and special occasions (e.g. out of state events, graduations, weddings, etc.) not under or within the control of a Department member may and will arise during the 16 - 22 May 2012. The Department will attempt to address individual hardships, should they arise, via the following process.

Major Life Events

The member will submit his or her request to use a Personal Day(s) through the chain of command to the First Deputy Superintendent. The requesting member will submit an Overtime/Compensatory Time Report along with a To-From Report and supporting documentation.

Cancellation of Day Off

In addition, if a major life event is scheduled for a regular day off (RDO) from 16 - 22 May 2012, members are encouraged to submit a To - From Report requesting to be excused from having his or her RDO cancelled, if cancellations are necessary. The report will identify the major life event and should include supporting documentation. The report will be submitted through the chain of command to the First Deputy Superintendent.

All requests will be reviewed on a case by case basis. All decisions made will be final. Unit Commanders will monitor and maintain a record of all requests prior to submission to the Office of the First Deputy Superintendent. All requests must be submitted by Monday, 30 April 2012.

This process applies to ALL sworn members.

Technical difficulties? The solution is simple. Make an Aluminum Foil Deflector Beanie (AFDB). It is a type of headwear that can shield your brain from most electromagnetic psychotronic mind control carriers. AFDBs are inexpensive (even free if you don't mind scrounging for thrown-out aluminum foil) and can be constructed by anyone with at least the dexterity of a chimp (maybe bonobo). This cheap and unobtrusive form of mind control protection offers real security to the masses. Not only do they protect against incoming signals, but they also block most forms of brain scanning and mind reading, keeping the secrets in your head truly secret. AFDBs are safe and operate automatically. All you do is make it and wear it and you're good to go! Plus, AFDBs are stylish and comfortable. Check out the following website. http://zapatopi.net/afdb/

RE:Hiring Wave!

RHAM can get in front of the cameras and pat himself on the back all he wants. The truth is that in 2010 we lost 412 officers below the rank of Sergeant and 36 above the rank of Sergeant from retirements. In 2011 we lost 256 officers below the rank of Sergeant and 14 above the rank of Sergeant from retirements between Jan '11- Aug '11. (The numbers were all taken from the F.O.P. newsletters. The last numbers posted were in the Dec 2011 newsletter and those were for Aug 2011 retirements. One can only imagine how many more pulled the plug before the end of 2011) That's 718 police gone in LESS THAN 2 years!!! Currently there are 212 officers assigned to the 16th District. Enough police have retired to staff more than 3 districts. WAKE UP SHITCAGO!!! WAKE UP "REPORTERS"!! The mayor and Mc Carthy want to tout the fact that since they flooded 011 and 007 with police that murders, I mean homicides have dropped. NO SHIT, HIRE MORE POLICE SO THE REST OF THE CITY CAN HAVE THE PROTECTION THEY DESERVE. Why did you put officers there? Why not just move all the blue light cameras in the city there??

RHAM touting the fact that we will be hiring 150 officers is the equivalent of adding 2 officers on each watch in the 22 districts however the no-balls media won't ask RHAM questions about retirement numbers.

A hairgel is a word used for non perceptive fake police who most often than not have some political clout that catapulted them into skinny jeans and ball caps or some safe spot where they can do tvb's for a living to effectively take themselves out of the ga when the shooting starts. I once met one that was so perceptive that when i was in civilian clothes and wearing glasses she said she didnt recognize me even thou we worked in the same car for months. Reminded me of the old superman comic where nobody recognized Clark Kent when he wore glasses. The bottom line here is that the the average hairgel is hardly a trained observer anymore except when they dress for work or spot an expired sticker from 50 paces. All shit that a vet cop laughs at. And I am fucking still laughing so GFY hairgel.

They killed the bill in the Il house req. police to do a lengthy report when using a taser. Introduced by Monique Davis and she wanted the race of the offender added. I'll make it easy for you Monique its black, always , why because I'm in a black district. Easy enough to understand down there in Springfield?
Maybe we are racist because the offenders are black in my district. The police made them do it!
Now you can waste my tax dollars and come up with another " brilliant" idea.
I know, everytime a politician votes on a bill, I would like you to do a lengthy report and let me know what race will benefit most by your vote

"If it's nighttime, why would a sun storm matter?" -- SCC

Because it's electromagnetic energy -- like radio waves -- that is the problem, rather than visible light.

These outbursts from the sun interfere with the earth's magnetic field, which in turn can have very serious effects on our technological society. It can screw up GPS, affect aircraft electronic systems, mess up radio communications, you name it.

In 1989, "some satellites in polar orbits lost control for several hours. GOES weather satellite communications were interrupted causing weather images to be lost. NASA's TDRS-1 communication satellite recorded over 250 anomalies caused by the increased particles flowing into its sensitive electronics.[4] The Space Shuttle Discovery was having its own problems. A sensor on one of the tanks supplying hydrogen to a fuel cell was showing unusually high pressure readings on March 13. The problem went away after the solar storm subsided.

"The variations in the earth's magnetic field also tripped circuit breakers on Hydro-Québec's power grid. The utility's very long transmission lines and the fact that most of Quebec sits on a large rock shield prevented current flowing through the earth, finding a less resistant path along the 735 kV power lines.[6]

"The James Bay network went offline in less than 90 seconds, giving Quebec its second massive blackout in 11 months. The power failure lasted 9 hours...

"In August 1989, another storm caused a halt of all trading on Toronto's stock market."

Here's the official government web site that monitors this stuff.

Don't forget the bright green habanero sauce on that, the stuff that's like nitric acid.

Now you need a quart or two of Mike's Hard Lemonade, several big hits of that aerosol caffeine powder, and then six tickets for the Tilt-A-Whirl. That'll have you seeing old TV test patterns, I ga-ron-tee.

Some kid died recently -- he had been swilling some kind of weird "X4 energy drink," whatever that stuff is that comes in the long, skinny cans, he hung himself out the car window to vomit, and fell out onto the highway and was killed.

"Think of it as evolution in action..."

Wow, this is the city's way to make sure that you don't have as many personal days to sell back or carry over to next year if not used. What a joke! Gee thanks, you are gonna let me off for my kid's graduation? You are so good to me. Gonna let me off for my kid's wedding? Hey management...THIS IS NOT AN EMERGENCY! The mayor invited this fiasco to our once great city. An emergency is UNPLANNED and unforeseeable. I understand that there are instances where a ticket needs to be written, but for fucks sake, stop making revenue for the city by writing a book of parkers every day for a bunch of ungrateful politicians. They want us to generate revenue for them, but want to keep that revenue for themselves and not return any to us in the form of a decent raise? FUCK YOU!

One of the biggest solar discharges we know about came in 1859 -- the Northern Lights, usually visible only in Alaska, Canada, Scandinavia, etc. -- were visible as far south as CUBA!

The telegraph operators of the day found that their long wire lines acted as antennas, and picked up so much electricity that they could disconnect the batteries and still send messages.

They say our current hyper-wired society simply would not have survived an 1859-strength solar storm.

If you want to avoid the population density of the Phoenix Metro Area (Scottsfale, Mesa, Tempe, etc.) as well as Tucson, start a southerly drive from Flagstaff (close to the Grand Canyon; lots of winter snow).

Avoiding Interstate 17, take other highways through beautiful Oak Creek Canyon and "new age" Sedona (red rock country) via Jerome (sliding down a mountain one inch per year) and on to my favorite: PRESCOTT (locals pronounce it "press-KIT"), Yavapai County, population 40,000.

You just may fall in love with Prescott.

"Canadian space-weather monitoring groups also sent warnings to power-grid operators at northern latitudes most vulnerable to the storm. At midday, the grid operator for the New England region, which receives the Canadian warnings, said the storm-intensity alerts did not yet require specific actions. Typically, these actions would include firing up local generating plants to reduce stress on long-distance transmission lines."

http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/2012/0308/Solar-storm-could-become-severe-bell-ringer-in-next-24-hours

WHAT "local generating plants?"

Very foresighted for this and other possible emergencies, the Emanuel/Greenpeace/"Hispanic" movement to shut down the Crawford and Fisk power plants here.

Oh -- how come we didn't have "environmental racism" when people of European descent lived in Pilsen and Little Village?
