Any detective that was dumb enough to move anything other than their personal effects is a fucking nitwit.
You all should've arrived at your new digs with NOTHING. Then stood around doing NOTHING until the department brought over your desks, chairs, file cabinets, computers etc.
Last time I checked the contract, it says nothing about us being "movers". Let's see here...the department expects you to clear cases and pick up right where you left off when they can't even provide you with the basic things necessary to do your job. And all this after turning most of these peoples' lives upside down with these bullshit, smoke and mirrors changes. This is why some people took the initiative to bring stuff with them. No 'thefts' or 'property damage' done, so fuck any IAD investigation (if true).
Sorry Garry and Rahm, I'll pick up where I left off when all my things arrive and I actually have a chair to sit in and a computer on which to view and work my cases..

There is no money saved when the areas were closed/merged. Only when a building is closed like 21 and 13 will there be any money saved by the city by not having to operate or maintain these facilities. Get ready for more lies to come true like dicks in stations, there is not enough room in current areas for all of us.

LOL its not a bad idea! Someone at City Hall or the Public Safety Building is gonna pitch the idea of leasing out the now defunct area's open and unused floor space.
Picture it? The iconic Area 4 sign being re-done to say "Pyramid West Realty" or "Ministry College".
