The Department posted 42 openings for Mass Transit. This is the result of graduating 42 or so recruits who were hired with a federal grant. Now the senior officers get to bid for the spot the Mass Transit funds went while the kids earn their stripes on the streets.

I'm loving all the mass transit jokes lately. Worked for the bosses over there now and can only say that I'm very glad they are over there now.
On my feet for nine hours and spend the rest of the year on midnights? No thanks. Call down there and get the skinny before you make that mistake for the last few years of your career.

They want everyone to think its bad where they are.
Finally, after 24 years on the job I think this is my chance to go to a Unit. Mass Transit is a prelude to retirement. I could do another 5 to 6 years downloading until retirement. 2 other classmates of mine from our academy days are also thinking about bidding.

Thomas Lemmer is the name you will hear when u are asleep at night. Worked for him in 023 and he constantly keeps u under a microscope.
To 1239am. Do u pay any attention. Recruits dont have the option of being in 23 diff districts anymore. Theres about 6 designated training districts now.....but only for like the last three years. Go ahead back to your noise disturbance call that you'Ve been down on for 2 hours cause you cant handle the real jobs. Head back to the sand please

Midnights my ass. Most of these recruits probably have connections and will wind up working days from the start unlike me who lacks juice and has been stuck on midnights in a often forgotten district for 10 years now. It's amazing to see all the 2 and 3 year wonders assigned to days and watch them look upon us with complete disdain in the mornings when we pass in the hallways.

Hey all u morons hate to tell you the people that are bidding are the guys with 15+ years on the job, not the "kids"-- so you guys that think I'm going to have a 1a, 2b furlo got another thing coming---my furlo and YOUR furlo is based on seniority!!! So I'm sure someone else is getting bumped...oh and by the way that includes watches, might get shafted this year but come nov. U can bet ur ass I'll be bidding to and getting my day spot!!!
I heard these new 42 that bid into mass transit are going to be getting fixed posts and standing on platforms.
I don't mind doing that a couple times a month as extra money but that would suck to be your regular duties.

To the newbies: Dont listen to these jerks... With 2 years on I got a 3a and 10b furlough which is pretty damn nice if you ask me, and my 3a included 6 days of 80+ degrees and sunny. Not everyone knows what theyre talking about on here.

This asshole wrote off-duty police for bogus tickets such as no front plates, no city stickers, or various parking violations just so he could make his quota. Our Lt. at Midway Airport Law called his Lt. and told him she would get a CR# on him if he didn't knock the bullshit off.
Big investigation coming down in mass transit. Someone turned down the thermostat in the coffee room fridge to the point of food freezing. Saw the Lieutenant licking and gnawing on a Milky Way candy bar for over three hours.
The mass transit fridge investigation has concluded. Finding of unfounded incident the evidence was destroyed (devoured).

You were lucky guy. I had that furlough for the past 9 years and it always sucked weather wise. Gots that june furlough this year. Should be nice and warm.
Ha Ha Ha... locker for rent. I'm a new guy and I went to the station supervisor and told her I smelled smoke coming from a locker that just happened to belong to somebody who actually works in a unit somewhere else in this city. The next day the lock was cut... shit thrown out (old shirts and names tags...)and a locker for me!

Is it true or bullshit. There is to be an experimental trial run of a buffet being installed in mass transit. From what I've seen there won't be no shortages of belly-up to the counter customers.

Stop 'pausing to wonder' I called for a meet with 'anonymous' on the radio all night, you didn't answer.
No doubt those two sgts are attempting to get back with Lemmer. After all they will be looking at midnights in a single digit district when 019 rids some of their current 47 district sgts.
Rich C got kicked out of the midway post, because he's a coward that would not even hang the parkers.all were aired mailed! He even wrote his partners daughters car..for no front plate.and there was one!!he should of been fired!!!!
