More Empty Luggage

  • Trains were stopped for an hour and a half on the Metra Electric District line on the South Side this morning while authorities investigated a suspicious package that turned out to be an empty suitcase, authorities said.

Two inbound trains, numbers 114 and 116, were stopped around 115th Street about 8:20 a.m. while other inbound and outbound trains were halted near 53rd Street as canine units checked the package, according to Metra. Passengers who were waiting on the platform were moved away from the tracks, officials said.

We feel pretty safe calling this a "tactic." We've seen or heard about 8 different reports about empty luggage stopping or delaying rail, road and water traffic.

Agreed that it's a tactic, but it's only HALF the tactic.

The rest of it is that law enforcement eventually gets lax and decides they're all just a ruse. THAT is when the real ones go 'boom'.

Be careful, follow procedure, stay safe.

These guys could shut down the city with a few well-placed empty suitcases from the Salvation Army.

Nice to see the Evil Racoon and his wife giving some tongue to Barack and Michelle at the airport. The Prez didn't have enough room to cart the Mayor and Mrs in the helicopter so he threw two of his lackeys off so they could ride with him. The big reason the Racoon is such an arrogant fuck is because he knows Barack has his back. At least until November. And that could very well change.

Be careful guys. These empty luggage games could be just to lower your guard. Then they put in the real one.

what about the van full of explosives... 2560 got on air calling for cars to set up a perimeter, and to get the fed bomb guys over there, that they detained one and found a van full of explosives... then he was told to call command post immediatley, and that was the last thing said about that over the air....

I left a valuable looking box full of dog turds I picked up in my yard at 81st and Evans, that didn't even make the news, but someone did steal it as it was gone from the alley when I rolled through latter.
