Crime is Down....
....but all we hear about is shootings shootings shootings. Even in the burbs, where they're getting knocked down 6 at a time:
Six people were hospitalized after being injured in a shooting late Saturday night in west suburban Maywood, officials said.
Police were called to a home in the 1900 block of South 19th Avenue about 11:48 p.m. after receiving a report of a multiple people being shot at a gathering there, according to Larry Shapiro, spokesperson for the Village of Maywood.
Did anyone tell Mope-rah?

Maywood has been a lost cause for many years, a good example of liberal racial integration. Thanks Daley for fucking up not only Chicago, but the suburbs by tearing down their cages aka cabrini
they need a asm program like we have, give them something to do. who actually decides you can be in asm. are there many englewood teens in the program? what do they do with the 4 m the city donates? the foia should be used to learn more.
Maywood used to be a nice town.

My friends who live out of this state tell me all they hear on their media is how chicago has been on a crime spree. So the media there reports the truth but here they lie?

There always seems to be 1 common thread to all these shootings in the Chicago area. But i can't figure out what that 1 thing is.
Remember when you hear that crime and violence are down in Chicago, that the person saying it is a Tool of the Anti-Christ.

i worked in maywood for the most part people keep things pretty clean except for a few knuckle heads

I will say that an early-morning pattern seems to be developing everywhere at once.

Wasn't there. In general, can only say from experience that this minute's dice game or drug deal can be the next minute's "home invasion" call when something goes bad. Can't assume anything today.
About the only thing the news story didn't describe was how, after the police "apparently" got everyone out of the house, searched, and secured, they would then have had to GO IN AND CLEAR THE HOUSE TO MAKE SURE.
This is routine -- and if there is anything more dangerous in police work, I don't know what it is. Dogs are used to help in some situations.
There could be victims who need immediate help. There could be scared kids hiding in the closet, or a vicious dog behind that closed door. There could be someone in there waiting to end your life.
You have to go make sure.
From what I read here, incident is concluded, people in area are safe, now investigation will be made and justice will take its course.
