Two more teens have been charged in connection in the deadly attack on a 62-year-old man last week that was recorded and posted on Facebook the same day a judge denied bond for a 16-year-old.
Nicholas Ayala, 17, and Anthony Malcolm, 18, were each charged with first-degree murder and robbery in the slaying of Delfino Mora, according to Chicago police.
Both Ayala and Malcolm each took turns using a cell phone camera to record the Tuesday morning beating that killed Mora, authorities said.
Film the murder and post the snuff film on a social media site. Wow. The death penalty would be too good for these animals.

One more thing that emphasized the sadness of this story - this man had a job-related disability, but he continued to try to make money by picking up scrap metal with his good hand.

There was a similar case in the Ukraine a couple years ago- the Dnepropetrovsk maniacs- where two heinous little fuckwads killed dozens and dozens of totally innocent citizens with hammers, pipes, screwdrivers, whatever they had on hand, then recorded it with cel phones. They also filmed their torturing of dogs.
In some cases, they went to the funerals and filmed themselves covertly flipping off the caskets.
We all know there's a very dark side to life and it sucks when it rears its head to remind us of just how scary the world can be. That's exactly why most of us do this work.
For every shithead we have to chase down, for every Police-Parenting call we have to endure, for every ingrate and asshole that's out there, it all boils down to those times when you collar some bastard motherfucker who has no business being in society and send him off to IDOC for the duration.
That's the payoff.
To me, that's what makes the bullshit worth it. It's not the 'excitement' that some guys love so much, it's certainly not the pay. It's the quiet satisfaction I get from knowing that horrible people fear me much like good people fear them... and I work very hard to earn that.

The guy you are talking about was in my academy class. He suffered a heat stroke while running in 100 degree weather during welcome to gym day. This guy was in a coma for more than 10 days. He almost died, because of the heat stroke he lost all of his toes and a few of his fingers.
His injuries are directly related to his training during the academy. so he is one of the legit disabilities. So, please do not use this injury as an example to slam the system. This guy actually is disabled.

Observable facts -- the victim was 62, lived in this country for 36 years, and "had 12 children." Channel 9 showed what were apparently formal wedding pictures of some of those children, everyone in tuxedos, gowns, jewelry, etc.
The family is claiming "financial difficulty" and is soliciting donations from the public.
Genuine lethally dangerous defectives. If you aren't going to destroy these three, at the very least lock them up for the rest of their lives with no possibility of parole.

Worked for brother-in-law who owned a pallet company in AZ. Railroad sent Private Inv. to Az and caught idiot moving pallets while driving a forklift. Settled with RR for 60'000 dollars before shit hit the fan. Healthier than all of us yet gettin free ins and tax-free salary to this day and will until sport turns 63. In 25 years I estimate he has collected over 750'000 dollars not counting free health insurance from us while living in AZ managing the lucrative pallet compamy. And yes he lives in a multi-million home in Az. LIFE IS FAIR. 8 yrs on job-half on medical-and he lives like a king. We bust our butts in minus 10 degrees and get shat upon. "Collar" is an East Coast term that goes back to the days of the Pilgrims when the Constable would grab ruffians by the back of their collar and haul them off to the Magistrate who might "clap them in irons' which might include an iron collar.
No wonder McPilgim relates to that.
"Pinch" is a Chicago/Midwestern term for an arrest. Maybe it had something to with grabbing the social misfit by the earlobe between the thumb and forefinger and turning him every which way but loose. It was crude, but highly effective.
"Bust" is a West coast term for and arrest. I don't know those people are all as stoned a Cheech and Chong.

Why should this guy shut up? He found the SCC blog and stayed on it for six hours. That says what all of us regular readers already know, and that is that SCC is the go-to place for truth that cannot be obtained from the media in Chicago. Besides, I would also like to read about the guy who was injured in the academy who gets disability. When I went through the ISP academy many years ago, if you got hurt and could not complete training you were shown the door, perhaps with an option of attending a later class once you were physically healed. Other than that, you were on your own.

Or the senior citizens in the 7 mile / Schaffer area who've been robbed at gun point this week. Certainly the catalyst and the driving force behind Detroit's revival Roger Penske, Dan Gilbert and others wouldn't want to hear those words coming from the mayor's office. Detroit's survival depends largely on the state of public safety in the city whether Kirk Lewis wants to believe it or not. F%#@ the police is something you would expect from some habitual criminal , gangsta rap video or song, or juvenile delinquent,not from the 2nd in charge of a city the world is watching, the Country's 11th largest city with a $3 Billion budget, a city fighting to beat back the doomsayers. Then again maybe that's the problem we don't have adults running the city.

When is a so called "leader" of the black community going to stand up and tell them to take ownership of this problem??? Everytime someone speaks out (Bill Cosby, Alan West, etc.) and tells it like it is they get painted as a racist. The black community has 75% of their children born out of wedlock or to absentee fathers. Do you think it's a coincidence that these kids grow up to act like savage animals and end up in jail or dead? Where are the revruns to call on black males to act like men and support their families and set an example for their kids. Or how about someone to tell teen aged girls its not cool to have 3 kids by three different absentee daddies before you graduate high school? How about some lessons about how to conduct yourself in public? It's time to call it like it is; the black community is an embarrassment and I feel sorry for those few members who actually try to do the right thing, but are castigated by the Jesse Jackasses of the world and told they're "acting white" or "sell outs" for working in a legitimate job and being a dad to their children. I really wish that the University of Chicago would stop focusing on nonsense police proceedures, and instead take a long look at this type of behavior by "inner city youth".

I live in 020 and the victim would come by for cans that we left of to the side for him. What the media isn't telling you is that he was nearly doubled over with his disability and would push a cart. This poor soul could never have defended himself! The offenders family's are now crying for mercy, that the offenders were just caught up with a bad crowd. I'm sickened by this callous attack and death. I pray the offenders are all convicted and sentenced mercilessly by the Courts!

Uh -- Delfino Mora, age 62, lived in the US for 36 years.
He had 12 children -- the youngest son is 20 years old.
Channel 9 had to pull the camera 'way back to get the whole family wedding picture on your screen -- tuxedos, sequined evening gowns, jewelry, hairdos, the whole nine yards.
No offense, but I'd try calling the Mora family if I needed help.
The story seems to be that they want the public to contribute money to be used to ship Mora's body back to Mexico for burial.
I will not further address this issue.

the knockout game. these savages run up to random people and sucker punch them hoping to knock them out cold and inflict serious injury. tons of this going around in 001, 018, and 019. all south and west side savages coming to nice parts of the city to victimize good, law abiding taxpayers. i'm sure the white limo story from clark street a couple of weeks ago was this same exact thing. attack and injure for no reason other than it being entertainment for ghetto rats.

apparently, mac-jackass is a slow learner.
Tuxedos are rented. Bridesmaids buy their own dresses. Jewelry is costume aside from wedding rings. if it was the son who got married, they didn't spend much because it's usually the brides family that pays for the wedding. Or maybe he's broke after giving his daughter a dream wedding like many of us do.
Saying the family of the victim isn't in need of financial help just by viewing a wedding photo is stupid. We are not poor, but when a member of our family died, we could barely afford the cost of his final expenses after helping him pay OOP cancer treatment expenses and helping him pay his mortgage and household bills the last few weeks when he couldn't work anymore.
Don't judge from pictures. Besides, he's not the bad guy here.
Is prowler ever used? Maybe just on the north side?

a car has been there for 3 months, 24-7 for some "shootings" that happened over 3 months ago. No body even hangs on the block now. They want you to harass people who are sitting on their porch, ask for IDs and do contact cards. So any "investigator" will attempt to see what, if anything can get rid of this bullshit "detail". 2 months ago everyone knew why. 3 months later? nobody knows why they still are sitting on one block while the district is blowing up!
Since you love it so much take your dumbass over there and sit every day for the next 3 months and collect your lawsuit on the way to 30 N Lasalle for harassment, ASSHAT

There was a similar case in the Ukraine a couple years ago- the Dnepropetrovsk maniacs- where two heinous little fuckwads killed dozens and dozens of totally innocent citizens with hammers, pipes, screwdrivers, whatever they had on hand, then recorded it with cel phones. They also filmed their torturing of dogs.
In some cases, they went to the funerals and filmed themselves covertly flipping off the caskets.
We all know there's a very dark side to life and it sucks when it rears its head to remind us of just how scary the world can be. That's exactly why most of us do this work.
For every shithead we have to chase down, for every Police-Parenting call we have to endure, for every ingrate and asshole that's out there, it all boils down to those times when you collar some bastard motherfucker who has no business being in society and send him off to IDOC for the duration.
That's the payoff.
To me, that's what makes the bullshit worth it. It's not the 'excitement' that some guys love so much, it's certainly not the pay. It's the quiet satisfaction I get from knowing that horrible people fear me much like good people fear them... and I work very hard to earn that.

Prowlers wore cloth caps, and little black masks, and striped jerseys. They were unshaven, and always had a pillowcase with a silver candelabra sticking out.
I think you used to be able to take the old Police Positive out of the night stand and shoot them, too, but I can't remember. My bullets are all green by now and the thing just goes "click" anyway.

Not so fast with the idealism > small town America is also devolving into a crisis > my brother is a special ed teacher in Antigo Wisconsin for behavorially disturbed kids. There is 50% divorce, many single moms, rampant alcoholism and drugs too. Increasing percentages of kids and broken families in small town America are a real mess. Mayberry in the 1950's is OVER, that time and place in America no longer exists ANYWHERE.
