Luke Cho said he hopes the images help police find the robbers, or maybe even shame the parents of the teens enough that they’ll turn the kids in.

O.T. There was a home invasion last week that didn't go as planned for the bad guys. 4 or 5 guys broke into a house in the Grand Crossing area when one of them was shot in the head. I heard that the assailant has finally died. The best part it was one of the other robbers that shot him.

Jesse has set himself up to be a community leader and role model. He has had numerous affairs, sired at least one out of wedlock child and lied about it, he runs an organization that does a lot of 'do as I say, not as I do', including something as small as parking all over residential sidewalks near Push and blocking in neighbors' cars because he is more important than they are. HIP has city bus service, so I'd cross that off the list. Golf Mill isn't too bad, but you need to keep your eyes open around the bus terminal outside of JC Penny's.

I was at the German Festival in Milwaukee yesterday. For about eight hours the family listened to bands, ate bratwurst, drank different lagers and were able to pretend we were back in America, circa 1955. Truth be told the problem for us is we have few housing options outside of where the same people we lock up live...and you know it's true. I'm a vet, married with two kids, two degrees and literally spend all my time at church if not at home or work. I don't drink, I don't smoke, I rarely swear and I'm all into code enforcement and community pride etc. That does not change that IF I move from off of my ghetto block and move to a nice neighborhood where the residents are white, I will not be welcomed. Our good working class people with decent income usually live with the others who have the exact opposite values because in your neighborhood we are viewed the same. I spent plenty of time in Little Italy and Beverly from 14 years old up...we're not wanted no matter how nice we are, how good people we are, how American we are...you name it.

The kids in this video have had as good an opportunity, if not better than a white kid to get an education. Bus to pick the up (free). Food at school, two meals, maybe three(free). In general, I thought this kind of riff-raff steered clear of street fests, boy could I not have been more wrong. I had enough of people selling beer/weed, mosh pits, fights, and the sheer amount of people that the organizers allowed into the fest. Decided to grab some things from Walgreens and head home. There were about 100 teens in the parking lot talking a bunch of shit to anyone that walked by to get into the store. I felt bad for the lone Walgreens security woman standing outside who was trying to keep any kind of order. Oh well, can't wait to see how many kids break into Lollapalloza this weekend. I saw no less than 300 people storm not just the fences, but the main security gate last year.
To the guy who was at GermanFest in Milwaukee: We were there also, and I made the exact same observation. It was nice to be at a place where the only thing you had to worry about was an enthusiastic, slightly drunk, German. No mobs, no thugs, no BS. The way America should be. We tend to support the fests in Milwaukee as they are all like this. We will continue spending our entertainment dollars where they are appreciated, not here in this Chit hole. Thank god for the most segregated city in the US!

SCC I think that once everyonen is forced into this what can stop them from coming out with a range based on age, height, weight, that you must fall into or else pay a monthly fee until you reach that range they feel you should be in. You made a very good point. It is amazing to me that whenever blacks commit a crime then everyone is lumped in. Same with let's say Muslims. It's the entire community's fault. So when did we start believing in a collective groups fault for an individuals actions? If that is the case then let's not forget that whites behaved like savages too from like the middle ages to the early 1900's.
I am not going to sugarcoat the truth. Blacks do commit the most violent crimes. But I am responsible for my actions and I did a great job of raising my kids. How is this the store owner's fault? Not everyone can afford the high cost of security. And if there was one of us working there off duty, what could we do against 30 kids? The best is call 911. You really think you can take on 30 out of control thugs? You think you can shoot them? You think you can pepper spray all of them inside the store? You'll attempt to stop one of them and then ten will be jumping on your back beating the shit out of you and trying to grab your gun.
The best thing store owners can do is what many jewelry stores do; have 2 doors that lock and customers must be buzzed in through both sets of doors. It may be inconvenient for customers and store employees but it will help in preventing these kinds of incidents.

Fuck you. I work in Wicker Park. I don't come from "Daddy's Money". I don't hate police. In fact I feel slightly better when I see a patrol car while I walk to the blue line after work. the only problems here are that:
1. the political/media propaganda machine gleefully reports when a 'white' person does something wrong, especially a non-liberal whit person, and routinely tries to minimize the wrongness when a 'black' person does something wrong.
2. the 'black' persons doing most of the 'somethings wrong' are repeatedly doing those 'somethings wrong', with little to no authentic remorse, beyond regretting that they got caught.
3. the 'black' community is self-identified and cast their votes, for the most part, as a 'collective group', electing and reelecting those individuals who conform to the 'black community's' collective group interests. so, yes, you are responsible for the actions of those individual members of your 'collective group'.
4. most 'white folks' do condemn those members of their 'group' who do wrong. this has not been as true of 'black folks'.
where are the black persons speaking truth to the power of their own communities? the power of their own communities that has been used to continue promoting the attitude of perpetual victimhood?
5. you say that you're not going to sugarcoat the truth, you state the blacks commit the most violent crimes, yet omit saying that a certain portion of the 'black group' commits the most number of crimes, over and over and over again.
and yet, practically no one within the 'black' community does anything useful to condemn, in every way, those certain portions' actions, behaviors, opinions, attitudes, etc., nor supports effective changes proposed by anyone not a member of said 'black communities'.
it is truly not rocket science. you know what is right and you know what is wrong. unless you prefer to bleach your skin, you are stuck being a member of your racial group, just as surely as any other member of any other racial group is stuck. the difference under discussion here is that, for the most part, other racial groups have not abandoned their group responsibility to apply any and all pressures to their fellow members to do what is right and to not do what is wrong.
Our good working class people with decent income usually live with the others who have the exact opposite values because in your neighborhood we are viewed the same. I spent plenty of time in Little Italy and Beverly from 14 years old up...we're not wanted no matter how nice we are, how good people we are, how American we are...you name it.

Not everywhere. Come to Galewood. Its been fairly integrated for years, is mostly quiet, and has good access to Metra service. I would love to have more LEOs here, regardless of their skin tone.
Same here. I live in West Rogers Park. We're the very personification of that "melting pot" you hear about. I mean, we have every race, creed, culture, and color here. With rare exception, everyone gets along. All we care about is the quality of the person in our community. The neighbors to my south are a Korean family. To my north, a Jewish family. Directly across from me, a Russian family. I'm Black. We all look out for the neighborhod, because we all have something at stake in it. Coppers in 024 do a more than adequate job of keeping the area safe. Plus, we have the Evanston, Lincolnwood, Skokie, & Water Reclamation Police in close proximity. Give us a look-see, if you want out of the hood. I'm just sayin..

What financial disaster will the think up next! The damage done is worse than a homicide in a way. Look at all the people harmed by irresponsible financial schemes. There is no reason to get insulting. That is a good man there, speaking from his life experience, and he said two simple things --
* No matter how good a guy he is, he is not making much headway where he lives. Otheres there be hard-headed -- not receptive, to say the least. "Hanging on the corner,' "locked up" and "dead in a plastic bag" are some common synonyms.
* Other people see the conditions where he lives, and, viewing the actions and attitudes of so many people there, are afraid that he will bring these problems with him if he moves into their area.

It is not a good situation. It must be said that no one seems comfortable in this "Great Society" anymore. It has been called an "experiment." Some experiments succeed, some fail.
So what are the indications? Going up, going down? What do we see on the street every day?
I wish it were not so. I have my own creative, constructive interests, and would prefer for all to "live and let live," but this is reality where you gotta watch everything + 1 and the word "patrol" gets your BP up 20 points right there, like getting up to speed down the entrance ramp. More power to ya. Just try to understand that the black crime rate is so disproportionately high that other people get scared when they see a black person coming on the street. That is just self-preservation, and you have to admit that this lesson has really been -- literally -- beaten in.
If you are ever in, say, a social situation where people get to know each other, I'm sure everything is fine.
