Gould Saves Bears

The kicker is in mid-season form:
  • Jay Cutler and Brandon Marshall looked sharp from the start, and the Chicago Bears beat Robert Griffin III and the Washington Redskins 33-31 in a preseason game on Saturday night.

  • Washington took the lead in the fourth quarter, but kicker Robbie Gould aced a 57-yard field goal with 31 seconds left to secure the win for Chicago.
Still preseason, but looking a bit better than last week.

I hope that the new Lt. on afternoons over in public transportation stops using such nasty foul language every time he speaks. Also the racial slurs will come back to haunt him! You never know when there might be a recording device near by? Just saying...

Looking forward to seeing this revamped offense once the REAL season starts. Just to try and catch up to the offensive numbers of Green Bay and Detroit, the Bears will almost have to set team records for offensive output in passing yards, scoring and total offense.

The "experts" are predicting that it WILL happen.

The "D" didn't look so good last night, but hopefully, when it counts, they'll be close to the one we've come to expect from the Monsters of the Midway. Their second string got carved up pretty good by the OTHER rookie QB, Kirk Cousins. That kid looks like the real deal and will probably be starting SOMEWHERE, in a couple of years.

Considering it's still preseason, I've probably wasted too much time writing this...

For those who may have missed it and want to see it, the NFL Network is rerunning the game today at 3PM (Comcast channel 168).

Why warn him? Let the fool wrap the rope around his own neck.

You're a fucking idiot. Take your little recorder and shove it up your ass. If you got a problem with the way a man talks, take it up with him personally you pathetic coward. Don't try to defame someone via an anonymous blog post and make idle threats that wouldn't be admissible in a court of law. I believe you fall into that category of employees (note I DIDN'T say police) hired in the last 10-15 years, give or take, that are hair gel pussies. YOU are why this job is dead never to return to glory, you fucking weasel.

A 57 yard FG is impressive. I remember when a 40 yarder was impressive in the NFL.

Now a 40 yarder wont even get you on good high school team.

Only three players are playing like professionals on the Bears team, Jay Cutler, Robbie Gould, and Brandon Marshall. The rest are killing the team with mental mistakes that lose yardage and miss touchdowns in the end-zone. Get rid on the non-hackers and light a fire under those that remain. To blow a twenty-point lead in the second half did not look good for the home team and the only thing that saved the win is that time ran out while the Redskins were trying to get in scoring range. And that 105 yard kick-off runback for a TD by Brandon Marshall was awesome. GO BEARS !

The game was blocked out in Milwaukee - all we could get was the Giants Jets game.

And this has what, exactly, to do with the Bears? You need a hobby; you worry WAY too much about your supervisor's business.

Lt in mass transit may have working police history, but his verbal skills (profanity & racism) are an embarrassment to professional carreer officers.

the 2 big wr's looking great and Bush looking like no one wants to tackle him in short yardage. Carimi(still injured) and webb(Just horseshit) are scaring me also spencer looking ineffective., hopefully they could sign a left tackle off scrap heap. Maybe old Chad Clifton from G.B.( thats been kicking our defensive ends asses for a decade) would be a good 1 year contract if he still has something in the tank>

Expect good things from Matt Blanchard at QB. Loved his work at UW-Whitewater where our DD attends.
